Edwards looking to sweep the 2011 Nationwide Races at Texas

Carl Edwards on racing at Texas Motor Speedway:

“I am really looking forward to returning to Texas Motor Speedway with Eddie Gossage and the guys. We won the earlier Nationwide race and we are closing in on the owners’ points lead. I love racing there and the fans are great. Our goal is to gain as many points as possible and get our Fastenal Ford Mustang in victory lane.”

“We won there in the spring so we will carry that knowledge into this race. We have had a lot of success on the mile-and-a-half tracks so far this year. So far in 2011, Edwards has eight wins, 20 top-five, and 24 top-10 finishes.

Edwards captured his 37th career Nationwide win at Charlotte Motor Speedway.

Edwards has captured seven Coors Light pole awards so far in the 2011 Nationwide Series season.

The No. 60 Mustang is three points out of first place in the NNS owner’s championship.

Edwards’ average finish is 11.2 at TMS.
