Race Notes and Quotes
Jeff Green Continues to Pilot the No. 14 Camry… 2000 NASCAR Nationwide Series Champion Jeff Green will make his fourth consecutive start in the Hefty®/Reynolds Wrap® Camry while Eric McClure, the team’s primary driver, continues to recuperate from the accident suffered at Talladega. The Owensboro, KY native will be making his 320th Nationwide Series start and his 20th at Dover Int’l Speedway. In his previous events, Green has two poles, one win, five top-five, and eight top-10 finishes.
Chassis Selection…Crew Chief Wes Ward has selected chassis No. 7 for this weekend’s race at the one-mile speedway. This chassis was last run last weekend at Charlotte Motor Speedway. In that race, a broken drive shaft forced the team to retire with a 32nd-place finish.
Patriotic-Themed Camry … The No. 14 Camry will continue to adorn the patriotic-themed paint scheme for this weekend’s running of the 5-Hr Energy 200. This scheme, which was designed to support the men and women of the United States Military, will run through the Subway Jalapeno 250 on July 6 at Daytona Int’l Speedway.
Jeff Green Quotes: “We’ve had some unfortunate luck the past two weeks, so I am hoping we can get a good finish this weekend at Dover. This team needs something positive to happen.”
