DAYTONA BEACH, Fla. (Sept. 11, 2013) – NASCAR announced today that NASCAR Canadian Tire Series presented by Mobil 1 driver Dave Connelly has been penalized following his involvement in a Sept. 8 incident at Barrie (Ontario) Speedway.
Connelly, driver of the No. 28 car, was found to have violated Section 12-1 (actions detrimental to stock car racing – involved in an altercation in another competitor’s pit area.) of the 2013 rule book.
As a result of this violation, Connelly has been fined $1,000 and indefinitely suspended from NASCAR.
