KENTUCKY-BOUND: Johanna Long and the No. 70 Foretravel Motorcoach ML Motorsports team will head to the Bluegrass State this weekend for the second time this season to compete in the NASCAR Nationwide Series Kentucky 300 at Kentucky Speedway. The team will transport chassis No. 65 which was utilized in the July race at Chicagoland Speedway where Long finished 20th.
RACING IN SPARTA: The last time the ML Motorsports crew made the trip Sparta, Ky., the No. 70 team cracked the top-20 during qualifying and consistently held on to that spot to finish 20th.
IN THE REARVIEW: CHICAGOLAND SPEEDWAY: The No. 70 team had a tough weekend at Chicagoland Speedway. . Fighting the handling of the Foretravel Motorcoach Chevrolet for most of the 200-lap event, Long crossed the finish line 26th.
MEET THE DRIVER: Fans will have an opportunity to meet the 21-year-old driver at Kentucky Speedway this weekend. Long will take part in the NASCAR Nationwide Series autograph session in the Fan Zone hospitality tent at 2:30p.m. ET.
CONNECTION TO LOUISVILLE: Johanna Long has a unique connection to the city of Louisville. Her friend, Peyton Siva, Detroit Pistons player, was the most recognizable player on the 2013 NCAA National Champion University of Louisville team. Long and Siva met at a celebrity softball game in the driver’s hometown of Pensacola, Fla. in July.
