Bliss Fights Until the End to Finish 15th at Charlotte

Race Summary: Two time Charlotte Nationwide Series winner, Mike Bliss made his 28th career start Friday night at the 32nd Annual Dollar General 300 at Charlotte Motor Speedway. Starting 24th, Bliss was quick to break into the top-20 by lap 13.  Radioing that the No. 19 Toyota Camry was a little tight on the gas, Crew Chief Paul Clapprood made slight changes throughout the event. By the time the third caution of the night fell on lap 89, Bliss, a lap down and in 19thposition, decided with Clapprood to take the wave around to be put back on the lead lap. Although there were five caution flags thrown throughout the event, Bliss stayed out of trouble and maintained his top-20 status through the remaining laps of the event, gaining a 15th place finish (his ninth of the season).

Bliss: “The track changes so much from day to night. We had a good foundation set-up wise and plugged away at making small adjustments throughout the night. Towards the end of the race the car was getting a lot better. My guys did a good job at preparing a fast Toyota Camry.”
