No. 30 Drink B Chevrolet News and Notes
This Week’s Silverado…Turner Motorsports’ No. 30 team will be using chassis TMS-218 for Friday night’s Jeff Foxworthy Grit Chips 200 at Atlanta Motor Speedway. TMS-218 is a powerhouse for the Drink B team, as Nelson Piquet Jr. used it to claim a Keystone Light pole award at Pocono Raceway as well as his first victory in the NASCAR Camping World Truck Series (NCWTS) at Michigan International Speedway.
Three for Three… Piquet Jr. had a busy seven days last week. After winning his first NCWTS race at Michigan International Speedway on Saturday, August 18th, Piquet Jr. raced the following Wednesday night under the lights at Bristol Motor Speedway, and rounded out the week by running his fourth NASCAR Nationwide Series (NNS) race of his career this past Friday night.
Numbers don’t lie… After 43 races in NCWTS, Piquet Jr. has one win, two poles, 11 top fives, and 21 top-10 finishes. This is only the second year that the Brazilian driver has been a full-time contender in the NCWTS.
Q&Astars… This Wednesday evening at 6:00pm ET, Piquet Jr. will be taking part in an open Q&A session on sponsor Alpinestars Facebook page. Stay tuned for a one-of-a-kind paint scheme on the No. 30 Turner Motorsports Chevrolet Silverado from Alpinestars for the upcoming NCWTS race at Talladega Superspeedway.
Drink B… Turner Motorsports welcomes back “B” to the No. 30 Chevrolet Silverado for Friday night’s event. “B” is a premium cachaça (Brazilian rum) mixed with honey and lime. The sweet mixture, combined with a lower alcoholic volume of 21% makes it easy to enjoy. “B” was founded by Piquet Jr. in his home country of Brazil and will be available in the United States in 2013.

Nelson Piquet Jr. on returning to Atlanta Motor Speedway –
“I think we’re going to be very fast this weekend. We’re bringing the truck I won with at Michigan, and the guys could not have done a better job at building a competitive machine. Bristol last weekend was tough, we were fast and ran up front, but the results did not do our race justice. I know there’s another win coming for my team this year, so hopefully it will be this coming Friday night.”

No. 31 Central Wire Chevrolet News and Notes
At It In Atlanta…James Buescher and the No. 31 team head to Atlanta Motor Speedway for a Friday-night race under the lights. The Texan has two previous starts at the Georgia quad-oval, completing 100% of the scheduled laps in both of those events on his way to earning one top-10 and an average finish of 12th.
Intermediate Interest…Turner Motorsports has been the team to beat at the intermediate tracks in 2012, earning five wins in eight NCWTS races at tracks one to two miles in length. Buescher is responsible for three of the five Turner victories, all three of which came at 1.5-mile tracks (Kansas Speedway, Kentucky Speedway and Chicagoland Speedway).

This Week’s Silverado…The No. 31 Central Wire Chevrolet Silverado team will unload chassis TMS-220 this weekend at Atlanta Motor Speedway. This is a brand-new truck and will hit the track for the first time this Friday.
Last Race Recap…Buescher and the No. 31 Turner Motorsports Chevrolet team rolled into the half-mile high-banked Bristol Motor Speedway sporting the blue and gold colors of sponsor Exide Batteries and made it through the overtime race unscathed, finishing in the seventh position.
Watch LIVE…The Jeff Foxworthy’s Grit Chips 200 can be seen live on Friday, August 31st on SPEED. Race coverage will begin at 7:30 p.m. EST. The event can also be heard live on MRN Radio as well as Sirius Satellite Radio, channel 90.
Buescher on returning to Atlanta Motor Speedway –
“I’m really looking forward to Atlanta. It’s a fast, wide-open racetrack. It has a lot of grooves, so you can run anywhere from the white line all the way up to the wall. Tires wear out fast there, so there’s a lot of slipping and sliding. I’m obviously really excited about getting back to a mile-and-a-half racetrack; Turner Motorsports as a whole has run so well at the intermediates this year. We’re bringing a new truck this week, and I have a feeling it’s going to be even better than the one I got all three of my wins in.”

Miguel Paludo
No. 32 Duroline Brakes and Components Chevrolet
Atlanta Motor Speedway – Jeff Foxworthy’s Grit Chips 200

No. 32 Duroline Brakes and Components Chevrolet News and Notes
Headed to Hotlanta…The NASCAR Camping World Truck Series (NCWTS) travels to Atlanta Motor Speedway for the 14th race of the 2012 season. Paludo has one previous start at the Hampton, Ga. track, earning a 22nd-place finish after fighting an extremely loose race truck in 2011.
Intermediate Experts…Turner Motorsports has been dominating at the intermediate tracks in 2012, earning five wins in eight NCWTS races at tracks one to two miles in length. Paludo is most at home on intermediate tracks as well, earning his best finishes of 2012 (10th at both Kansas Speedway and Michigan International Speedway) at tracks 1.5 to 2.0 miles long. In his 42 NCWTS starts, the Brazilian driver has scored nine of his 11 top-10 finishes at tracks greater than one mile in length.
World Diabetes Day…Paludo’s truck bed will feature the World Diabetes Day logo this weekend at Atlanta Motor Speedway. World Diabetes Day, which is held annually on November 14th, is a campaign led by the International Diabetes Federation (IDF), which named Paludo as their first South American Blue Circle Champion earlier this year. The date of World Diabetes Day celebrates the birthday of Frederick Banting who, along with Charles Best, first conceived the idea which led to the discovery of insulin in 1922. For more information, visit www.worlddiabetesday.org.
This Week’s Silverado…Paludo and the No. 32 Duroline Brakes and Components team will unload chassis TMS-216 for this week’s race at Atlanta Motor Speedway. This is the fifth appearance of the season for this truck, which has a best finish of 10th at Michigan International Speedway two weeks ago.
Diabetes Fact of the Week…Individuals can experience different warning signs indicating they should be tested for diabetes. Although there may be no obvious warning, some of the most commonly experienced signs of diabetes are: frequent urination, excessive thirst, increased hunger, weight loss, tiredness, lack of interest and concentration, vomiting and stomach pain (often mistaken as the flu), a tingling sensation or numbness in the hands or feet, blurred vision, frequent infections and slow-healing wounds. The onset of type 1 diabetes is usually sudden and dramatic, while the symptoms can often be mild or absent in people with type 2 diabetes, making this type of diabetes gradual in onset and hard to detect. If you show any of these signs, consult a health professional.
Previous Race Recap… Paludo turned what could have been a disastrous night into a top-20 finish at one of NASCAR’s toughest tracks. Paludo recovered from a late-race spin and fought his way back from being a lap down to bring home a 16th-place finish at Bristol Motor Speedway.

Miguel Paludo on driving at Atlanta Motor Speedway –
“I’m really looking forward to getting to Atlanta. It is a very fast track with lots of grooves to choose from and your tires wear out really fast. You have to be careful because you practice during the daytime and race at night, so you have to consider the difference when you’re working on your truck throughout the day.”
“Every time we go to a track over a mile, I get excited because those are my favorite tracks and where I’ve gotten my best finishes in the Truck Series. The truck we’re bringing (chassis TMS-216) has been really strong for us and my guys are working so hard to make it even better. Turner Motorsports’ mile-and-a-half program has been really good, so we’re all feeling very positive going to Atlanta. I know how hard it is to win in this sport, but with the great equipment we have at Turner Motorsports, we go to every racetrack feeling like we could come back with our first win.”
