  • NASCAR Accident Insurance 101: 3 Things To Know

NASCAR Accident Insurance 101: 3 Things To Know

Auto insurance exists to protect you from financial ruin if you ever get involved in an accident. Some people who never get into accidents tend to feel like they’re not getting anything out of the high premiums they’re paying. If you’re one of those people, consider yourself lucky. On average, car accidents around the world lead to 1.3 million fatalities each year. And we’re just talking about the general data here. What more if you belong in an inherently high-risk environment? Take, for example, NASCAR racers.

    What Is NASCAR?

The National Association for Stock Car Auto Racing, Inc. (NASCAR) is the top motorsports sanctioning company in the United States. You might wonder how auto insurance works in NASCAR, especially since crashes and wrecks are a common occurrence on the racing track.

On public roads, negligence is the most common cause of accidents. Oklahoma City law firm Hasbrook & Hasbrook describes it as failure to take safety precautions to avoid an otherwise preventable event. However, ‘negligence’ and ‘preventable’ are both difficult to qualify within the bounds of competitive racing. In fact, racer safety and security have been long-standing topics of controversy in this industry.

To hash out NASCAR insurance policies, here are three salient points you need to know:

    1. Racers Pay For Their Own Coverage

This might sound as a surprise considering how big NASCAR is, but it’s true. Unlike pit crews that are directly hired by the company, race car drivers are signed as independent contractors. Therefore, they are responsible for buying their own life and auto insurance policies like the average person.

One of the factors that determine auto insurance rates is a person’s driving history. Traditionally, high-risk drivers get higher premiums because they have greater chances of causing an accident. However, it’s the opposite for professional racers because they’re held at high athletic health standards. The more races they’ve competed in and finished successfully, the lower their premium gets.

    1. Stock Cars Need Specialized Insurance

Needless to say, NASCAR race cars are in a league of their own. They have custom-built engines, performance tires, specially-designed bodies, and high-end safety features. All these elements raise their value and make them too expensive to insure. Regular insurance companies refuse to cover race cars, so you have to find a specialized insurance carrier.

One example of specialized insurance policies is the ‘track day insurance,’ which covers a race car only on the day of the racing event. If you’re not a NASCAR driver but own a stock car that you want to take to the tracks for a day, this policy is also applicable for you. If you crash, this policy will cover the total costs of damages. Even if your car gets totaled, you will get reimbursed for the actual cash value of your car.

    1. Some Crashes Are Intentional

It’s common knowledge in the racing community that some drivers deliberately cause crashes as a strategy to win. Some of the most dangerous NASCAR drivers have crash frequencies of well over 50%. Now, bear in mind that a regular race car can go as fast as 200 miles per hour. Such numbers spell unimaginable danger on the track, which makes it all the more crucial to get liability and personal coverage.

    High Speed, High Stakes

Auto racing is one of the most exciting yet most fatal sports in the world. Every thrilling turn on the track comes with a great amount of danger. Because of this, racers and their cars need more protection than the average insurance holder.

  • Genius and Interesting Innovations of the 21st Century

The human race has always innovated and went from building fires to using smartphones and exploring the virtual world in a short time.

In the current era, technology has made life easier for most people. You can heat your food in the microwave, talk with loved ones in real-time via video calls, monitor the weather, pay online, and order food and groceries through your phone.

Technological advancement will undoubtedly continue to change how we work, live, and survive in the coming years.

Since the start of the millennium, the world has seen the emergence of innovations like social media, smartphones, and laser treatments, among others.

In 2020, almost 4.66 billion people were active Internet users, covering 59 percent of the global population.

Aside from the Internet and other notable inventions in the 21st century, here are some genius innovations of our time.

    Self-driving Cars

What we only saw in the movies years ago has become a reality. Now, self-driving cars are roaming the streets. These employ a wide range of technologies such as cameras, radar, and ultrasound to navigate the roads safely.

Aside from self-driving cars, the automobile world has adapted to technological changes well, as they are equipped with GPS and 5G networks. In-car maintenance and design, technology have also paved the way for the use of the automotive spray booth for painting and automated assessment pods to test the car’s performance.

    3-D Printing

Many inventions emerge as a result of previous concepts and ideas. Third-dimensional (3-D) printing is a process to create a physical object from a 3-D digital model by laying down consecutive thin layers of materials.

The method was used in the production of topographical maps in the later 19th century. Today, 3-D printing helps manufacture everything, from car parts, bridges, equipment, to even medical prosthetics.

    Capsule Endoscopy

Endoscopy is a non-surgical procedure to assess and examine a patient’s digestive tract. It uses an endoscopy, a flexible tube with a camera and light at the tip. As the tube enters the mouth, it passes through the digestive tract, and it can be seen on a monitor.

From there, the doctor can see alterations on the stomach wall to assess diseases such as ulcers, polyps, and even gastritis.

Now, instead of a tube, doctors can use a capsule to do the job. In capsule endoscopy, the doctor uses a tiny wireless camera, which is about a size of a pill. The doctors can examine and visualize the digestive tract to detect internal bleeding, cancerous tumors, or inflammation.

    Gene Editing

What was in sci-fi movies in the past has translated into real-life applications. Gene editing has gained immense popularity in the field of medicine and genetics.

In this technology, scientists can make changes to an organism’s deoxyribonucleic acid (DNA). Soon, scientists will use the technology to cure major diseases such as cancer.

Social media gave meaning to relationships from a distance. People can now talk with their loved ones in real time, thanks to video calls. Strangers can become friends, and work from home has become a new normal.

Technology continues to shape the world into a better place. It proves that anything is possible and life can be easier. There are many more innovations people enjoy today.

  • How to Safely Transport Classic, Luxury and Exotic Cars

Do you have a classic, luxury, or exotic car you need to be transported safely and you are looking for the best ways to do it? This is the right place to get all the answers, so follow our expert advice and be calm because your vehicle will be in safe hands. We will provide you with all the information you need to get the best classic, luxury, and exotic car shipping possible across the USA. Read this text and leave all your worries behind. This should not be one of the most stressful and worrisome tasks for any owner of an expensive car anymore.

    Fully-Enclosed Trailers for Total Safety

Luxury, exotic and classic car transport servicing requires special care and attention. That is why you should start the process by looking for a moving company that is securing your vehicle inside of a fully-enclosed car trailer. This type of trailer is specially designed to transport expensive vehicles with absolutely no damage. That means no scratches, no dents, etc. You can rest assured your car won’t be exposed to the elements as well, which is quite comforting.

Something important you should know is that transportation in a fully-enclosed car trailer might not be an option with all companies. For that reason, you must ask them beforehand to verify that they provide this opportunity.

    Insurance is an Absolute Must

When the time comes to choose the right classic, exotic, and especially luxury car transport cross-country, ask the company what insurance does it provide. You need to be calm during this stressful shipping situation and it will come if you know upfront what the compensation would be in case of an accident en route. This is such crucial information and you should never hesitate to ask all the questions you might have on this subject. The insurance must cover fully the cost of any possible damages on such a valuable asset as is your luxury car.

Make sure you also know how much of a deductible is involved, so you are prepared. Avoiding all types of misunderstandings about coverage will make you feel way safer about the shipping process.

Look Out for a Company with Vast Experience and Pedigree

The company that you hire must have the experience and all the licenses needed for moving these prized vehicles. The experience may be the difference between your valuable car getting at its destination safely or arriving with problems. Find a company with at least a year of practice in exotic, classic, and luxury car transport, so you can be relaxed knowing they will take good care of your vehicle.

You also have to make sure that the moving company is licensed. Engaging with one that isn’t can lead to a lot of problems and headaches that you can avoid. If you don’t find anything that says the company is licensed, don’t stop there. Keep asking about it until someone can show you that they are.

A very reliable indicator of a company’s performance is the quality of customer reviews it has received. Look at car shipping reviews in diverse sources to determine whether the experience you read about is the one you are seeking. Another excellent resource for finding the reputation of auto shipping companies is the Better Business Bureau.

    Preparatory Steps for the Shipping

Once you have hired transportation services to handle your vehicle, there are some steps you can take to lower the risks of damage.

    • Check your luxury car for any fluid leaks
    • Make sure the battery is secured in mounting brackets
    • Have the gas tank a quarter full
    • Disconnect the alarm system
    • Take out all radios, CD players, and car phones that are mobile
    • Remove or retract the antenna (if there is one)
    • Remove the personal items too (but leave the spare tires)

You can also give the crew of the exotic, luxury, and classic car transport company a set of your spare keys. That’s in case that there is nothing in the vehicle that can shift during the relocation and make a mess out of the interior.

    Go for Door-to-Door Transportation

Do you really want to have your precious car shipped to a terminal and then go pick it up? Why do that when you can let an experienced and highly-trained crew deliver it straight to your house or garage! You should pick this great option whenever possible. And the best one is door-to-door transportation in an enclosed carrier. Yes, it costs a little bit more, but it is totally worth it when you consider the value of the cargo.

Now that you know all about the safest ways for classic, luxury, and exotic car shipping, you can relax. Your prized asset will be home soon damage-free and classy as always so you can enjoy it for a long long time.

  • 4 Tips To Avoid Accidents While Driving

4 Tips To Avoid Accidents While Driving

With the rising cases of road accidents, not only in the US but globally, they’ve already been considered a global epidemic and a significant public health concern. More than 38,000 people die annually in the US alone due to car crashes, and an additional 4.4 million are seriously injured.

According to the Association for Safe International Road Travel, road crashes are the leading cause of death for people aged between 1 and 54. Aside from that, pedestrian and bicyclist fatalities continue to increase in the country.

It’s essential to be aware of these statistics so you put an effort into driving safely. You don’t want to add to the growing cases of road accident deaths and injuries. To avoid road and car accidents while driving, here are some tips you should know:

    1. Inspect Your Car Before Driving

Inspecting your car before driving is critical to avoid accidents on the road. Here are some things you need to examine to ensure your vehicle is safe to use:

    • Check under the vehicle for oil, brake fluid, or water leaks
    • Check the tires for proper inflation
    • Check the car lights
    • Check windows’ visibility
    • Check the gauges in the dashboard
    • Check windshield wipers
    • Check the brakes
    • Check if your spare tire is still good

It doesn’t take too much of your time to check all these necessary items in your car before driving. It’s critical to check the brakes and any leaks because these are essential aspects of the vehicle that can cause accidents on the road. When your brakes aren’t working, there’s a huge chance you’re going to crash and sustain fatal injuries. If you want to learn more about car crash injuries, read this article.

    1. Always Keep A Watch On Road Signs

Road signs or traffic signs are vital signs erected on the roadside or above normal roads to provide detailed information or give directions, including important safety indicators like the fire danger sign. Over time, the designs of traffic signs and other road-related materials have changed tremendously. Some of the most popular traffic signs being used today include speed signs, pictograms, and pavement markings.

Modern technology and creative minds have also contributed to the development of LED road signs, which offer clear, color, and high-resolution images of road signs. These signs provide information on road congestion, such as the speed limit and prohibited items in the driving space. Road signs help avoid accidents in bad weather. They also provide crucial safety and warning sign information on avoiding potentially hazardous road conditions, such as heavy traffic, heavy fog, snow, and wind.

    1. Always Drive Sober

Drinking while driving has become a massive issue in recent years due to increasing car accidents. The effects of too much alcohol on the body include dizziness, disorientation, confusion, slurred speech, and nausea. Thus, consuming alcohol can significantly increase your risks of accidents while driving.

    1. Regulate Your Speed

One of the most critical factors that drivers must keep in mind on highways and other roadways is the importance of speed limits. In a road traffic accident, or just as a regular traffic violation, the offender speeds up to a greater extent than is necessary.

Along with road safety, speed limit signs are valuable tools for regulating traffic flow as well. When more drivers are tempted to speed up, it can cause increased traffic jams and accidents along the way. By slowing down when passing another vehicle, a driver can significantly improve their chance of avoiding these potentially deadly mistakes, and you can react quickly if another car crashes into you. There is always a chance of getting into a collision no matter how careful you may be, and if that happens to you the first thing you would need to do is to get into contact with the right lawyer. For example, if a truck crashed into you, this would cause significantly more damage than a car would, so getting in touch with a relevant attorney is crucial. In this event, hiring a Houston truck accident lawyer, or similar, would be advantageous as they will have the experience necessary to handle your case.

    Summary

Everyone must learn to avoid car accidents, which may result in injuries or even death. Accidents are always preventable, and knowing what these are will help you take precautions and avoid danger.

But it should be kept in mind that unfortunate incidents are not under our control and can sometimes occur regardless of caution. Nevertheless, if the accident took place, it is important to consider possible consequences, such as personal and material damage, and at least minimize them. Some of the immediate steps one must take right after the accident is contacting a personal injury lawyer and if advised so, filing an insurance claim.

Because of psychological shock or trauma caused by an incident, involved ones aren’t always able to make rational decisions and it is where hiring a personal injury lawyer is essential. Thanks to vast experience and knowledge of business intricacies, they will guide you through this challenging situation to the best possible outcome.

Before you drive, check critical aspects of the car, like brakes, fluids, and your windows’ visibility. Driving under the influence will also increase the chances of accidents on the road, so make sure you’re sober while behind the steering wheel. On the road, ensure you’re driving at a regulated speed and always follow road signs. When you do all of these, you don’t only make yourself safe, but other people as well.

  • Why Opt for Car Removal Services

Your car that has been in use for decades has depreciated significantly. It may not even be working anymore.

While some in this position choose to let their carrot on their farm, others abandon it in their garage, while others let their unwanted vehicle waste away in the driveway.

Old age, mechanical issues are unexpected accidents are some of the common reasons that lead to this.

In some instances, the car could have issues after being on the road for a few years. Malfunctioning rare parts can cause issues to become irreparable, or the owner has to make frequent and expensive trips to the mechanic just to keep it safe to drive.

If you find yourself in this situation, it makes sense to sell your wrecked vehicle to a car removal company. You can earn top cash for the car which can be put toward the purchase of your next vehicle.

Here are a few more reasons why you would opt for car removal services.

Car Scrappers Purchase Vehicles Damaged By Nature

Nature is unforgiving as it can easily damage cars beyond repair. In such cases, the car should not be left to deteriorate on the side of the road.

As the owner, you should make money out of it while you still can. This is where car removal companies come in.

Nature-damaged vehicles can often no longer be repaired. Even if it is repairable, you will spend a lot of money on maintaining it, making it not worthwhile.

Instead, simply contact your local car scrapper and earn something for it.

Car Wreckers Purchase All Makes & Models

Car removal companies are usually wreckers themselves or work closely with wrecking car yards. These wreckers are interested in all vehicle makes and models to keep their scrap yards and spare parts stores fully stocked.

This is why car removal companies purchase all vehicle makes and models for their wrecking departments. Not only that, but they also take vehicles in any condition too.

Even when your car appears to have no value, a car removal service will still pay you for it. To sweeten the deal, the towing is free. You do not have to pay a cent to have it removed.

The car removal company will extract metal and spare parts that are still usable. Also, if there is an increased demand for iron, steel, and aluminum, you will get paid a few dollars more than usual.

You Get the Value of Your Scrap Car

Trustworthy car removal companies do not take advantage of the fact that you must dispose of the vehicle quickly. They will give an accurate figure and pay you the market value of your scrap car.

Of course, you cannot expect the private sale market value of your car, as your car is not being resold as a usable vehicle. Instead, you need to consider the value of scrap metal at the time. This is because your car is being sold to car scrappers.

    Conclusion

Car removal services come in handy when you have a car that no individual is willing to buy. When you have a car that is nearing its end of life that you have held on to, they will buy it when it is time to let it go.

It is a good way to stop the pollution and the injuries that could come from driving an unsafe vehicle. With these services, you will get the best pay possible based on the scrap value.

Of course, the amount you get depends on the actual condition of your vehicle and type. As expected, larger vehicles such as vans and trucks tend to pay more than smaller compact cars.

  • The story of license plates and its transformation into a capsule of vehicle related information

We have become so much used to license plates of automobiles that we rarely ponder its origin and history, the reason for its invention, and when it first appeared. License plates give an identity to vehicles that help to track them throughout its life. It also ensures your vehicle’s safety because police can track your vehicle based on the license plate if it gets stolen. License plates play varied roles in modern societies across the globe, and their history is indeed fascinating.

License plates have gone through enormous evolution to meet the changing needs of the times. Today, when everything is becoming technology-driven, its application goes much beyond cars, leading to the reinvention of license plate sets.  Going ahead, we expect to see green license plates but before we move to the future, let us look back at the history of license plates.

    The first appearance

The Germans presented the world with its first car when in 1886, the inventor named Karl Benz obtained a patent for his automobile Benz Patent- Motorwagen and signaled the modern motorcar’s birth.  Only the wealthy and aristocrats had the privilege to use the cars, which were just a few available at that time.  But it was only a matter of time before the masses could access cars as the automobile industry started growing and began producing on a commercial scale. The increase in the number of vehicles triggered the need to identify vehicles by relating them to the owner and establishing an official relationship between the two.

Moreover, the license plates play a critical role in framing laws and regulations to ensure road safety by protecting the public and personal property. In 1893, the first license plate made its appearance in France. Other European countries followed suit and started issuing license plates, and the Dutch introduced national legislation about license plates in 1898.

    The license plates reach America

In the US, the states have their laws about vehicle registration, leading to varied perceptions about license plates, and its history is somewhat intricate. New York was the first state to introduce a law for mandatory registration of all cars in the state that forced car owners to stick a plate on the back of the vehicle that carried their names’ initials. Until 1909 when New York started issuing license plates, car owners got their license plates done in their way.

In 1903, Massachusetts was the first state to issue an official license plate, and soon other states emulated the act and started doing the same. The first personalized license plate appeared in 1931 in Pennsylvania and paved the path for the vanity license plates that later became a rage.

    The impact of digital technology

Digital license plates are gaining popularity as digitization impacts our lives more deeply and in every sphere. Digital license plates are much more than an identification label of vehicles. It contains a lot of information about the car and its owner, vehicle status, and history that helps the authorities track vehicles more effectively.

Going ahead, we are going to see green license plates accompanying electric vehicles.

  • The Most Unusual Car Races in the World

Are you tired of your daily life and just want to feel new emotions? Then you can go to Playamo Casino or watch car races. The second option is even more breathtaking, especially if you choose to visit one of these races.

    Lawnmower Race

Lawnmower races are gradually conquering the planet. Championships are held in different countries, and there is even a world championship. These competitions were invented not in America, as is commonly believed, but in England in the early 1970s. The British Association of lawnmower racing composed the first rules, which became the basis for all.

Lawnmowers are tormented over a variety of distances, more often short ones, but the pinnacle is considered a grueling 12-hour race on unpaved turf. Machinery is divided into four classes, depending on the type of machine and motor power. In England every year there are a dozen major competitions, including the World Cup. In 2002, the president of the Association of garden equipment Bill Hurley fiercely criticized the sport for its high injury rate. But the huge army of enthusiasts has not thinned.

    Barbie Jeep Racing

There are even more injuries here, but manufacturers of children’s pedal cars don’t care. They say the fun was born in the valley of the American Arkansas River. Simple and accessible, it is gaining popularity in other parts of the country as well, with foreign pilots coming to the annual race.

The point is to go down the mountain in a car ahead of the competition. Initially, only Jeep vehicles were allowed to start, then there were mixed classes. Drivers must wear a helmet. Those who want can reinforce the suspension and steering, but it seems to make little sense. The track should be dirt. Who knows, will it become a World Cup event?

    World Solar Challenge

When they started the first race under that name in 1987, the Australians had no idea what it would lead to. Today, the World Solar Challenge takes place in odd-numbered years and attracts a bevy of innovative thinking from around the world.

The route has not changed: the same 3022 km from Darwin to Adelaide, across the continent from north to south. Since 2015, the average speed record of 91.75 km/h has been held by the Dutch team. In 1987, the first record was set at 67 km/h).

The race is on public roads, and the cars of the participants do not meet elementary safety requirements. From this, it is clear that solar cars are a thing in itself until their mass use as a full-fledged vehicle is still very far.

    Tractor Pulling

As a sport that originated in the USA in the late 1920s, replacing horse pulling (horses pulling barn doors). Now it is a race on specially prepared wheeled tractors with a trailer. The trailer is a platform with a metal plate dragging on the ground. The total mass can reach 75 tons. Coverage is ground, in bad weather, it’s dirt. Different classes of tractors are assigned different weights.

The level of preparation of machinery is amazing. The rules allow the installation of any number of engines. An engineering breakthrough happened in the 1970s, when two motors were hitched to a single cardan. Today, the most popular scheme is four motors. On advanced models, power reaches 10,000 hp.

There are 22 registered tractor racing associations around the world. There are championships in the USA, Canada, Australia, Brazil, and Europe.

NASCAR Main Series – What Is it?

There are many racing series that include drivers from all over the place to race against each other in a set number of events. All racers must adhere to and follow the rules of the sanctioning body.

In total, there are three national Nascar series:

    • NASCAR Camping World Truck Series. This was created in 1995, and it is great if you love watching trucks race. On certain tracks, trucks can reach speeds in excess of 150+ miles per hour. There are some truck drivers who hope to go further and on into the NASCAR Sprint Cup.
    • NASCAR Sprint Cup Series: The Sprint Cup Series is where you can find NASCAR’s stars, including Jimmie Johnson, and Dale Earnhardt, Jr. In this series, cars weigh 3,450 pounds, they can reach speeds of over 150+ miles per hour. This is a favorite of various muscle car enthusiasts, including michael savage new canaan, who has various American classics.
    • NASCAR Nationwide Series: Drivers tend to move on from here once they have improved their driving skills. This attracts drivers’ from all over, and as a result, it is hugely competitive.

What Is With the Nascar Flags?

The flagman who is a NASCAR official always starts a race. The flagman is highly noticeable and is waving different colored flags at the drivers as they race past in their cars. For fans to funny get into Nascar, they need to know what these flags mean.

Green flag- The flagman waves a green flag to go, which means drivers need to put their foot down to get in the lead.

Yellow flag-A yellow flag means a caution has been noted or called. There may be potential hazards or hidden dangers on the track. All drivers must slow down and line up behind the last car and drive around the track carefully until the track has been cleared. When a driver sees a yellow flag, they know they have to proceed with caution as they don’t know what is ahead.

A Blue flag with a diagonal yellow stripe – This flag tells the driver that a faster car is about to pass him, and he must give way to that car.

Checkered flag – When this flag is waved, the race has been won as a driver has crossed the finish line.

Red flag- Drivers must stop on the track — in a designated area — when they see the flagman wave a red flag. It means it isn’t safe for drivers to circle the track because of inclement weather or poor track conditions.

Green, white checkered flag sequence –  If there is a caution during the last laps, this flag sequence lets racers and fans alike know that there will be a green-flag restart to a couple of laps. A green flag signs the first lap of the restart, and the white flag signs the final lap that leads to the all-important checkered flag.

Black flag: When the black flag is waved, the driver it’s waved to needs to get off the track and go to the pits straight away. This could be for two reasons. Either the driver has done something wrong, or their car isn’t fit for purpose.

White flag – This means that the race leader has one lap to go until they finish the race.

8 Car Maintenance Tips to Get You Through the Sydney Summer

The Sydney summers can damage your car. Find out how to best protect your car from the heat this year.

While summer is a great time to be out and about, it’s pretty hot in Australia this time of the year. If you are in or around Sydney, you may already have faced the harsh summer temperatures this year. Apart from the hardships that come with the heat, there’s one more concern on the streets of Sydney – your car.

That’s right – regardless of whether you’re driving a new or a used car on Sydney roads, the heat can damage your car. So, it is essential to take care of your vehicle to make sure it doesn’t cost you a fortune later. Let’s discuss some helpful maintenance tips to make sure your car survives the summer.

    1. Take Care of the Cooling System

The cooling system of your car’s engine needs to be fully functional and in top-notch condition during summer to prevent the engine from overheating. Flushing the cooling mechanism is important and should be done from time to time. Don’t forget to check the coolant level to make sure it is at the right level. You can fill it up with the coolant as needed.

The rubber and plastic components of the cooling system may get damaged from the overheated engine, So it’s better to check those as well, and get it fixed if needed.

    2. Is the AC Working Fine?

It’s next to impossible to travel with a broken air conditioning system in your car in the Sydney heat. It can lead to health issues on days with high temperatures and humidity.

Therefore, you should proactively schedule maintenance for your car’s air conditioning system. If that isn’t feasible, the least you should do is conduct a self-inspection of the air conditioning system and consult an expert if something appears to be wrong that can’t be fixed by you. Be sure to check out Natrad if you would like more information on car air-conditioning.

    3. Prevent External Heat from Getting In

Not only is it important to have a cooling system inside the car, but it’s also necessary to reduce the amount of heat entering your car from outside. A great way to do that is by applying a layer of ceramic car coating. This type of coating bonds with the paint, providing lasting protection to both the exterior and interior of your car.

Ceramic car coating protects your car from absorbing the heat and the associated radiations like harmful ultraviolet rays. It also helps you ensure that overheating is not causing cracks in the paint of your car.

Besides, ceramic car coating can prevent stains from bird droppings settling on your car’s surface, as well as from minor scratches.

And if all these reasons aren’t good enough, here’s the jackpot – it can help your car look as good as new!

    4. Pay Attention to the Battery Health

Many people don’t realize that your battery’s health is not only affected by winter, but by summer too. Heat can cause malfunction of the battery or its failure to operate properly.

So watch out for telltale signs of your battery’s declining health over the summer months. This may include :

    • Slower cranking of the engine than usual while starting the car;
    • Dimmed headlights or internal lights;
    • The “check battery” light on the dashboard is lit up.

You should make sure the battery is in tip-top condition so as not to be surprised by a sudden and unwanted breakdown.

    5. Check the Tyre Condition

Checking the tires before hitting the road is always a good practice. And this practice can prove to be helpful during the summer months too.

Visually inspect if your tire threads are showing signs of wear or not. It is dangerous to drive with worn tires as those can lead to uneven handling of your car both during driving and while using the brake. And they may also blow out if not replaced timely.

Next, it’s time to examine tire pressure. Depending on the build and type of your tire, the pressure should be between 30 and 35 PSI. Make sure that the tires are not over or under-inflated, as those may lead to a flat tire on hot days. Don’t forget to do the same with the spare tire as well. Do check out these top tips on how to inspect your tires before getting started.

    6. Get a Windshield Cover

The reality is that regardless of whether you like it or not, you may have to park your car outdoors for prolonged periods underneath the scorching sun. Consider getting windshield covers that can minimize the amount of heat entering the car, so that later when you get in the car, you don’t feel like a pizza in the oven. You might want to do the same for the rear side and windows too.

    7. Inspect Your Car’s Brakes

Everybody who drives knows how important brakes are for the safety not only of your vehicle but also your life. Brakes are important regardless of the season, and summers are no different.

Check if your brake pads or shoes are worn beyond the acceptable thickness specifications for your car. If so, you should replace the brakes without further delay.

    8. Maximize Visibility through the Windshield

During the summer months, dust and debris settle on your windshield, restricting your visibility. This is indeed dangerous as it makes you more prone to making mistakes and getting into accidents. Therefore, you should ensure that your windshield is clean.

If your windshield wipers are leaving marks or not effectively keeping the windshield clean, you should get them replaced.

    Final Thoughts

Nobody wants to be in a situation when the temperatures are high and your car breaks down. The tips discussed today are all preventive measures you can and should take so that you don’t have to get stuck in such an unpleasant situation.
