It is shocking to hear he agrees for just a $64 million dollar contract. But the fact is confirmed, according to multiple reports, the only thing left is an official announcement.

Castellanos, who turns 28 in March batted an average of .289 and earned a .337 on-base percentage in total 151 games with the Tigers and Cubs last season. His 58 doubles last season ranked 10th in major-league history. Also, he hit a .863 OPS in total games and a 1.002 OPS with the Cubs in 51 games last season.

Cubs might sign Steven Souza Jr. this week!

Other than the announcement we mentioned above there might be another announcement from the Cubs this week. Cubs are expected to sign Steven Souza Jr. Steven who is an outfielder and a free agent as of now hit 30 homers and a .810 OPS in 2017. Right after that, he missed half of 2018 and all of 2019 due to ACL injuries.

This marks the first Cubs major-league contract this offseason. They have agreed to a one-year deal with Steven after he is done with his physical. He missed a considerable amount of time due to his injury however he posted incredible numbers during his games with Tampa Bay Rays.

Fans expecting to see him play should cheap tickets for Chicago Cubs at Tix2games right away!

Cubs Have Interest in Reds Former Second Baseman Scooter Gennett

According to some reports based on the Baseball analyst Bruce Levine Twitter account, Cubs have shown great interest in the Reds former second baseman Scooter Gennett.  Gennett is an All-Star with .310 hits, 23 homers and 92 RBIs and that was just 2018.  In 2017, he made 27-homers. He also hit 50 home runs during his two seasons in Cincinnati.

This season he played only 21 games because of a groin injury. It is expected that he might struggle in the spring training if the Cubs sign him. However, he is one of those low-risk, high-reward prospects that can be a big steal for the cubs this offseason.

Cubs are up for great challenges once the spring training starts and they can use all the help they get. Watch them play this season with discount Chicago Cubs tickets. So you don’t have to worry about the price.

  • How to buy the best Montgomery used cars

How to buy the best Montgomery used cars

Owning a brand new car is a dream shared by many people all over the world. However, not everyone gets to buy a brand new car. Some opt to go for used or second-hand cars as a way to save money or help the environment by keeping used cars out of landfills or junk yards. With millions of used vehicles exchanging hands each year, you can’t always expect to get the best deal if you do not do your research. If you live in Alabama, used cars Montgomery is the best place to buy a second-hand vehicle. When buying any car, you expect it to be reliable and in the best condition. A used car gives you this assurance, especially if you buy from a trusted source. However, it is always good to look for advice before visiting your dealer. This article provides essential information on how to buy the best Montgomery used cars.

    1. Affordability. Your budget is the leading factor when it comes to buying any used vehicle. If you want to take out a loan to pay for the car, ensure that the car payment does not exceed 20% of your take-home pay. If your budget is tight, consider spending less. Used vehicles often need more regular attention compared to brand new ones. There are also some other ownership costs that most people fail to account for, such as insurance. Visit different car dealers to ensure you choose the one that meets both your needs and budget. Remember that second-hand cars have a bargaining space, which depends on the age and condition of that vehicle.
    2. Make a list. Some car brands such as Honda Accord make for good used cars. However, they may cost more than other brands. If you want to save money, make a list of different car brands. A list of three or four different cars that meet your needs and fall within your budget should do the trick. If you want a vehicle that is less than five years old, go for a certified pre-owned (CPO) vehicle. Such vehicles come with extended warranties that are backed by both the dealership and the carmaker. A franchised dealership that deals with that same brand new will also sell a CPO car of the same brand.
    3. Spare Parts. Since every car needs maintenance, it is wise to buy a car model whose spare parts are available at your local garage or car dealer shops. Choose a model, which most mechanics can cope with the changing engine technologies. A car with readily available spare parts has a return on investment since it is durable enough.
    4. Compare Prices. Prices will differ depending on where you are buying your vehicle. You can find second-hand cars in used-cars sections of car dealerships, private used car lots, used-car retailers, and websites where private-party sellers list their vehicles. Private-party cars often offer the lowest prices compared to the other options. CPO cars cost the most. Visit all these places and determine where you can get the best deal.
    5. Vehicle History Report. Always get a car history report unless you are buying from a family member or a close friend who can vouch for the car’s history. If your potential car has a bad history, you must know. You can find these reports on sites such as AutoCheck. Vehicle history reports allow you to know things such as whether the odometer has been rolled back or whether the car has a salvage title. You can either use the vehicle identification number (VIN) or the license plate number to access this information. Some car dealers can also provide this report if they have the car in their inventory.
    6. Contact the Seller. Once a car has attracted your attention, please do not rush to see it. Contact the seller first. Create a good relationship with the seller and verify all the information about your prospective vehicle. Ask whether the car has any mechanical problems. Contacting the seller first will also allow you to know whether the car is still in stock. Make sure you do not negotiate during this phase. Tie your offer once you have seen the car.
    7. Test-Drive. Always test-drive the vehicle. Test-driving will allow you to know whether the car is right for you. You can also tell if the car has any problem. You can also ask for the service records and have a mechanic inspect the vehicle for you.
    8. Negotiate. If you like the car, you can now negotiate the price. After landing on the right price for you, you can now sign the contract. Some dealers may offer you extra items such as anti-theft devices. Once you are done, you can now celebrate your purchase.

Always take your time when buying a second-hand car.

  • NASCAR Cup Series updates for 2020

NASCAR Cup Series updates for 2020

As the 2020 NASCAR racing season approaches, there have been numerous changes announced.

This year we will see a return to the name, NASCAR Cup Series, with not one, but four Premier Partners in Busch Beer, Coca-Cola, GEICO and Xfinity. We will also see a new Chevrolet as NASCAR transitions from the Camaro ZL.1 to the Camaro ZL1 1LE that will make its debut during Daytona Speedweeks.

The most significant schedule change was moving Daytona’s second race of the year from the July 4th weekend to host the Cup Series regular season finale on Aug. 29.

Also, Phoenix Raceway will now host the final race of the year and crown the Cup Series champion on Nov. 8. Homestead-Miami Raceway, after hosting the finale for almost two decades, will race on March 22 moving it out of the Playoffs. Other sports franchises have also made schedule changes. Such as the NBA, considered one of the most valuable sports league franchises on the planet, with b-ball fans enjoying a wager on their favorite teams week in, week out. The NBA worked closely with its teams and domestic broadcast partners to schedule earlier start times for doubleheaders. The number of doubleheaders at 8 p.m. to 10:30 p.m. ET have been reduced by a combined 42 percent.

Another interesting development was the decision by NASCAR to use a reduced-downforce package on six short tracks and all three road courses in 2020. Its goal is to limit downforce and increase the level of competition.

There will also be a couple of drivers missing from the lineup in 2020 as Paul Menard and David Ragan retired from full-time racing at the end of the 2019 season.

Jimmie Johnson has announced that 2020 will be his final full-time season competing in the NASCAR Cup Series. The seven-time champion made his first Cup start in 2001 with Hendrick Motorsports, the organization where he has spent his entire career.

The new package will be used at Bristol Motor Speedway, Dover International Speedway, Martinsville Speedway, New Hampshire Motor Speedway, Richmond Raceway and Phoenix Raceway. It will be used, as well, at the road courses of Sonoma Raceway, Watkins Glen International and for the Charlotte Motor Speedway Roval course.

You can visit nascar.com for a complete list of all the changes coming in the 2020 season.

The list of drivers on the move include Christopher Bell who will make the transition from the Xfinity Series with Joe Gibbs Racing to Leavine Family Racing in the Cup Series. His crew chief, Jason Ratcliff, will move with Bell to LFR.

Chris Buescher will move from JTG-Daugherty Racing to the No. 17 Roush Fenway Racing Ford formerly driven by Ricky Stenhouse Jr. Stenhouse, after seven years with RFR, will race for JTG-Daugherty, taking his crew chief, Brian Pattie, with him.

Cole Custer will also move up to the Cup Series as he stays with Stewart-Haas Racing. He will pilot the No. 41, replacing Daniel Suarez. Mike Shiplett will accompany Custer to continue as his crew chief.

Matt DiBenedetto will be taking over No. 21 Wood Brothers Racing Ford, replacing the retiring Menard, in his sixth year of competition in the Cup Series.

The official start of the 2020 NASCAR Cup Series season begins with the Daytona 500 on Sunday, Feb. 16 on FOX TV.

  • Caught Speeding? Here’s What You Should Do!

Caught Speeding? Here’s What You Should Do!

It’s so easy to lose your cool and start panicking when you see the police lights in your rearview. Add on another level of anxiety when you hear the sirens. You start to sweat, your palms get clammy, and you wonder if you were really going that fast. When caught speeding, it’s important to remember to remain calm, call Ticket Snipers, and follow our tips below.

    1. Cooperate!

The first thing you should tell yourself to do is to cooperate with the officer. Do not try to contest your ticket or your driving habits just yet. Being disrespectful and talking back is a cheap one-way ticket into the slammer for the night (if serious).

Do yourself a favor and give the officer every reason and opportunity to treat you fairly. You may even be lucky enough to be let off with a verbal warning and no ticket at all!

Be friendly, there is nothing wrong with a “hello, how are you?”, don’t admit to or deny the speeding, and ask the officer before you take any action such as reaching for your wallet.

When you see those daunting sirens in your rearview, pull over at the first opportunity and provide all the documents and information the officer asks for. At the end, there is also no harm in asking if the officer would consider letting you off with a warning. If the answer is no, don’t push it.

    • Double Check Everything

Inspect your ticket to make sure all is in order. What are you being cited for and is your information correct? Look over the ticket and make sure everything is right, including the fine. Then decide if you have a reasonable point of argument if something seems off.

    • Pay or Don’t Pay the Fine…that is the question.

If everything seems to check out, then pay the fine at your earliest convenience. Paying a ticket is the equivalent of pleading guilty to the charges, and you will have to deal with whatever consequences follow.

If you want to contend your ticket, make sure you talk to a lawyer first. Get in touch with one with a specialty in traffic law and decide the next best move. You can either fight the ticket or try some techniques on how to get a speeding ticket reduced.

    • Reasons or Excuses

Excuses don’t really seem like the mature and grown-up way to handle a situation, but sometimes there is a legitimate reason. The following are some examples what you can say for the officer to be a little sympathetic and lenient.

    • I really have to use the bathroom.
    • You sped to avoid something dangerous on the road or an accident.
    • You thought you needed to move out of the way of the officer when you saw the lights flashing.
    • You were following the speeds of other cars.
    • You have a medical emergency.

Some of these excuses are long-shots and we’re sure you have seen plenty of them used in movies – and they don’t always work! The same goes for you.

In the end, if you tried to be polite, gave your legitimate reasons, and asked for a warning but you still got the ticket, then we’d suggest taking it and contesting it in court.

    Conclusion

While speeding is almost never okay, sometimes you had no other choice. Just keep calm, make sure you are heard by the officer and cooperate to the best of your abilities and you’ll be just fine.

  • Fastest Electric Bikes

Electric bikes weren’t really built for speed, they are more an everyday motorized tool that allows you to get from point A to B with less effort. Their popularity even prompted many companies to release some of the best electric bikes under 1000 dollars.

But take note that not all of them are meant for speedy rides or will be the best electric bikes for commuting. We’re not even sure if going past 15 mph is even safe on such a vehicle. However, if the lower-speed bikes do not satisfy your inner speed demon, maybe some of these will.

    1. Stealth Electric Bike H-52

The top speed of this beast hits 50 mph (80km)! That’s as fast as a car! A single charge can get you as far as 60km and go up to the top speed in a matter of seconds. Those who want a slower-paced vehicle can opt for the 25km/h limit, just adjust the settings to suit your inner daredevil.

According to tope-bikes.com, the design is sleek and kind of resembles a dirt bike, you get the soundless motor in the city that still gives you the rush of excitement.

    • HPC Scout Pro Electric Bicycle (3 kW)

The Bafang Ultra-Max mid-drive motor is responsible for catapulting this bicycle (and you) to an impressive top speed of 45 mph. Of course, there are also slower models available if that’s what you’re looking for.

Don’t let the modest exterior of this speed demon fool you. With a robust aluminum frame and lightweight of only 49 lbs (22.5 kg), it’s no wonder you are able to travel at these speeds. Thumping and bumping your way down the streets can’t be kind to your behind, but the suspension system on this e-bike has got you covered.

    • Luna Cycle Apex

One of the best parts about buying an electric bike is the customization. A lot of manufacturers allow you to make your own adjustments. For the Luna Apex cycle (with the proper customization) you can reach amazing speeds of 35 mph.

Granted, it is slower than the other options, but it’s still pretty impressive in terms of e-bikes. With a 5000-watt mid drive motor, and 55 lbs of overall weight, get ready to cover some major distance.

    • Nyx X14

This might be the fastest e-bike we have come across. The maximum speed is an impressive 60 mph! It accelerates fast and only has a charging time of 75 min on 110 v. The Nyx bike frames are extra sturdy and made of carbon fiber. It’s lightweight and is able to provide optimal performance.

The electric propulsion system can withstand continuous power of 3000 w and peak power of 14,000! With the simple twist of a throttle, you can go from 0-50 kmh in less than 5 seconds!

    • Outrider Horizon Off-Road

This is a pedal/electric version and looks quite comfortable to ride as well. You can build it yourself and decide what to include and exclude. The Astro Flight motor is what helps you reach max speeds of over 40 mph.

It’s quite a bit heavier and quite a bit pricier, but that’s because this off-roading bike is made for much more than the above options.

The robust design has superior suspension with a leading electric drive system.

    Conclusion

Who knew you could reach speeds of a lot of urban motorcycles on an e-bike? It’s amazing how technology improves every year bringing our convenience level to new heights. Keep in mind that the faster you go the more safety precautions you should take.

  • Car Racing and Tires: How a NASCAR Driver’s Team Figures Out What Tires to Change

With NASCAR being the most prestigious racing event in the world for muscle cars, you may be curious about the types of tires they use. You’re probably even tempted to use the same tires of your favorite racers because you’ve seen their mettle tested.

While there are trusty products that every NASCAR driver likes to use for racing like Jeff Jones and his Hankook Tires, there are a few elements that go into what helps a driver better.

NASCAR is vastly different from regular driving, and your daily driving experience is not going to be the same to that of a speed racing driver; knowing their techniques might just give you insight on the important elements to look for when buying a tire.

In this article, you will learn how NASCAR teams figure out what tires to use and when they change it up.

    1. Tracks Matter

Teams have to figure out what track the driver will be driving in, whether it’s tri-oval, true oval, or D-shaped. They need to know this beforehand because it will affect what load and construction of the tire will be. For example, if a driver has to make sharp turns on corners, they’ll need a front tire with a higher load.

The material the surface is made of is also very important. Most tracks will either be asphalt or concrete. Some will be a  combination of both where the corners are made of concrete while the straightways are made with asphalt.

By knowing these little details, NASCAR teams can predict the wear and pick an appropriate tire. Tires made with a hard compound last longer, while those made with soft compound will wear faster, but they provide better grip.

If it’s just a road course, teams can use the same size tires for all sides. However, oval tracks may require that teams use a different size tire on one of the car’s corners to make it turn around corners faster. The right side of the track travels a longer path so it will perform best if the tires on the right side of the car are an inch wider.

    2. Budget Matters Too

NASCAR decides how many additional set of tires each team has. Shorter races will require fewer sets while longer races require more tire sets. However, not all teams will have the ability to buy all the sets allowed due to budget constrictions. This is especially true for smaller teams. It is up to them to strategize and pick the set of tires that will give them the speed and wear to last the race.

If they don’t lease their tires from NASCAR’s exclusive provider, they have the option to get their wheels from another manufacturer as long as it meets NASCAR’s requirements. The wheel should be made of steel and have a bead diameter of 15 inches.

    3. No Treads

You may notice that NASCAR tires are completely bare of treads. This actually works to the driver’s advantage because a bald tire will have more contact with the ground which makes the car go faster. Treads on tires only work well on wet roads, something that we casual drivers can greatly benefit from. But for NASCAR teams, races can only happen if the tracks are dry. If it rains that day or the track is wet, the event is cancelled.

    4. Radial Tires Only

Due to the special driving nature of speed racing cars, NASCAR teams will only use radial tires. These tires are specially designed to withstand high temperatures and fast speeds while still maintaining good traction. They also have to be easily changeable.

    5. Assessment

NASCAR teams pay a lot of attention to their tires from the time they install it up until it gets used. In the beginning, they’ll inspect the tire, check its pressure, the compound its made of, the circumference, and how hard the rubber is. Once it’s off the car, they check different parts of the tire for temperature, and even the wear holes. This allows them to understand how the car is performing and what they can do to make it better.

Before the rain we were still working on setup. I don’t know if that is where we will end up racing. What is important is there is still 2.5 hours left of practice time.”

Tommy Milner qualified fourth in the No. 4 Mobil 1/ SiriusXM Chevrolet.  “Third and fourth… not bad for the Corvette C8.R first qualifying effort. I think we were shooting for a little bit more, but all things considered not too far off.
