  • Logano finds the casino at Las Vegas

Joey Logano won the Monster Energy NASCAR Cup Series Pennzoil 400 at Las Vegas Motor Speedway.

“What a great race. Brad and I were so evenly matched, and you just can’t drive away (with the lead). In the last five or six laps, Brad was catching me so quick, and I got stuck behind a lapped car. Man, it was so close. Lots of fun – my heart’s still running hard.”

Can you win the casino like Logano?  When you think of online casino games your first thought might be the bright light and loud sounds of Las Vegas.  But that’s changing quickly with more online options and you can check bonus offers at Online Casino Gems, a website aggregator showing the best bonus options available online, including free spin no deposit bonuses for slots players.

Teammate Brad Keselowski came up one spot short of going back to back to win two of the first three races of the season. Team Penske finished 1-2.

“It was a good battle,” Keselowski said. “We were both running really hard on the top. It seemed to come down to what the lapped cars were going to do. The lapped cars screwed the leader, and the second-place guy got a really good run. It happened over and over again.”

Kyle Busch was able to recover from a pit road speeding penalty and a six second deficit to the leaders to pass Kevin Harvick for third. Time ran out and Busch was three spots short of the weekend sweep across all three NASCAR touring series.

“I certainly screwed up our day coming to pit road,” Busch said disappointed after a green flag pit road speeding penalty during Stage 2. “Trying to make up time and just ruined it for us.”

The South Point 400 NASCAR Cup Series Playoffs race on Sunday, Sept. 27.

  • NASCAR Cup Series 2019 Highlights

The 2019 season concluded with Joe Gibbs Racing driver Kyle Busch winning his second NASCAR Cup Series championship in the season finale at Homestead-Miami Speedway.

Busch had already secured the regular-season championship in September giving him an edge heading into the final race with a points advantage. His competition included teammates Denny Hamlin and Martin Truex Jr. along with Stewart-Haas Racing’s Kevin Harvick.

His season highlights include four regular-season wins, 17 top-fives and 27 top-10 finishes. He also had his ups and downs as he entered the finale winless since June. But with some clever pit strategy and a car that came to life toward the end of the race, Busch prevailed.

Truex had to settle for second in the year-end standings followed by Harvick in third as Hamlin ended the season ranked in fourth place.

Busch was elated and thanked his fans for believing in him.

“We have a great race team and a great owner. Everybody always says you never give up and we’re no different. Sometimes we may not be the best, sometimes we may not have the right track position. Today we had a really good car and I could race around and move around.

“There’s always your doubters, there’s always your haters,” Busch continued. “You know what? This one’s for the Rowdy Nation. You guys are the best. Thank you so much.”

Truex was disappointed in his runner-up finish caused in part by a mistake during a pit stop when his crew put wrong-side tires on the front of his car.

“One little mistake is hard to overcome with track position,” he said. “Just another one that got away. Felt like we had what it took to win, even more than last year. We had the whole package, just a little too tight at the end there.”

Joey Logano and Kyle Larson were fifth and sixth as Ryan Blaney, Brad Keselowski, Clint Bowyer and Chase Elliott rounded out the top 10 drivers of 2019.

Richard Childress Racing’s Daniel Hemric earned the honor of 2019 Sunoco Rookie of the Year with one top-five finish, two top-10s and one Busch Pole Award. Next year he moves to JR Motorsports in the NASCAR Xfinity Series where he is scheduled to make 21 starts in the No. 8.

To celebrate the 2019 season you can take advantage of these gift ideas suitable for any NASCAR fan.

The reusable Kool8 water bottle is a great way to stay hydrated. To pay tribute to Busch’s championship, you can head over to the NASCAR Shop for his gear including sweatshirts, hats, jackets, die-cast cars and more. There is something for everyone and every driver.

  • How to Make Your Car More NASCAR worthy

How to Make Your Car More NASCAR worthy

Most NASCAR fans have found themselves at a race daydreaming about being one of the drivers.  While you may not have the spare cash lying around to buy your own NASCAR vehicle, they can cost upwards of $150,000, you can make your own car a little more fun to drive and show your love for NASCAR at the same time with these tips.

    Improve your car’s performance

NASCAR engines are usually a V8, which isn’t really practical for a day to day car that’ll be doing the school run or trips to the grocery store. However, there are a few performance cars that’ll give you this kind of power, such as the Dodge Challenger or Chevrolet Camaro SS, which if you’re looking for a second car, might be an option for weekend trips or just for fun. In some states, you can modify your car with a more powerful engine, so you could find used auto parts in Utah and make your own tweaks.

Of course, NASCAR cars aren’t just powerful because of the size of the engines, there are all sorts of factors that make them race ready. If you’re not able to replace the engine, learn to do an engine tune up to increase performance and get a smoother, more efficient ride. Some people even buy a fixer-upper so they can tinker with it in their spare time and learn more about building performance cars.

    Wrap your car

NASCAR cars are certainly more colorful and interesting than the average family car, and part of that is down to the graphic designs on the outside of each car. While you might not get multi-million sponsorships to drive your car around town, you can still show off your artistic skills and get something that suits your style.

The first step is finding a design you like. Some car wrapping businesses will have a load of generic designs to choose from, but if you want something unique, there are lots of designers on sites such as Fiverr who’ll create something just for you. It’s usually pretty cheap to get your car wrapped, or you can do it yourself at home, but it’s important to follow the steps carefully so you don’t end up with bubbles or damage the paintwork underneath.

    Customize your car’s interior

When you look inside a NASCAR racing car, you’ll notice it’s full of buttons, wires and gadgets, most of which you wouldn’t use on a regular car. However, you can get a bit of that NASCAR style by customizing your car’s interior. Consider adding some leather car seat covers, which will make you feel like you’re in a racecar or add some luxury touches such as chrome trims or new panels. You could even upgrade your car with a new entertainment system so you can blast those driving songs when you take road trips.

Until you can afford your own NASCAR car, there are lots of ways to upgrade your own vehicle, making it more fun to drive and ensuring it turns heads wherever you go.

  • Nascar Cup Series – Best Moments

Nascar Cup Series – Best Moments

The NASCAR season comes to an end. During the campaign, there have been several moments of brilliance from many participants. It is safe to say that it has been one of the best seasons so far.

Did you know that the end of each NASCAR season provides a chance for reflection? If you’ve been to a race, you’ve likely seen pit crews in their pit box. They would normally wave to their driver as they pass by on pit road. But it was a different story for the pit crew of Richard Petty Motorsports. They wave to every vehicle which passes them on a pit road.

“If you don’t wave at them, you actually feel bad because they’ll make sad faces,” said one of the participants.

One of the biggest races after each event is for the spotter of the winning team to make it down from atop the press box. During the celebration, Spotter Chris Lambert made sure to get a picture with his driver. He often misses the group pictures. It was simply a moment to cherish.

The youth movement is also expanding in NASCAR. During the off season, the focus is on which drivers will fill what seats in Trucks, Xfinity and Cup. There’s equally a lot taking place for new racers seeking to reach NASCAR’s top levels someday.

For instance, Toyota Racing Development spends the end of the year assessing talent. They also decide what roles those drivers can have in the upcoming tournament. One of the most important members of TRD said on NBC Sports, “When I look at kind of that 16- to 21-year old group … there’s some pretty fantastic talent in that group….” He added “(Also) we’ve literally tested 14- and 15-year olds that I’m extremely excited about in the same way.”

It’s already time to start thinking about the 2020 NASCAR seasons. Yes, we have Christmas and New Years Eve/Day first. However, it’s never too early to start thinking about them. Especially how will the Xfinity, Cup and Gander RV & Outdoors Trucks series look like?

There will be some exciting changes to the 2020 schedule. Some of these include:

    • The first Cup race under the lights at Martinsville
    • The Brickyard 400 in Indianapolis will take place on July 5
    • The first-weekend doubleheader for Cup. It takes place at Pocono

Seven-time champion Jimmie Johnson made an announcement lately. The 2020 season will be his last as a full-time driver. How to replace an icon in a sport? Most importantly, with whom? But Car owner Rick Hendrick was ready with a response.

“I’ve already picked a guy,” Hendrick said before a dramatic pause.

“Jeff Gordon is coming back.” Everybody started to laugh.

But, no, it won’t be Jeff Gordon. Of course, many things will change before Hendrick announces Johnson’s successor.

So, are you looking forward to the 2020 NASCAR seasons? In the meantime, why don’t you get into the action with Hotline Slot game? Sounds like a good idea! You will enter a world full of flashy sports cars. There’s even a beautiful Italian sports car on the reels. Spare a few spins for this nostalgia-themed slot and have fun!

  • What you need to know about fixed gear bikes

What you need to know about fixed gear bikes

Fixed gear bikes popularly known as fixies are a type of bike where the pedal moves as the rear wheel moves. Essentially, the bike does not allow coasting since the pedals and the rear wheel run concurrently. These bikes are often ideal for riding in urban areas. Despite their challenge in coasting, many people would prefer them to freewheel and single speed bikes for their numerous advantages.

1.Less weight. Fixies tend to weigh less than other bikes as a result of the limited number of parts. Ideally, they do not have as many levers and cranksets that weigh down other models. In comparison to geared bikes, they are a lot much easier to move around with, especially in urban settings. Additionally, the lesser the parts in the bike the cheaper it is to repair. The repairs are also much simpler; hence, the rider may perform maintenance and fitting without expert help.

2.Braking. These bikes have the advantage of additional braking since the rider may opt to resist the movement of the pedals. This movement could complement the braking system or even replace it entirely in the case of a failed braking system. These allow the rider to navigate obstacles with much ease. This benefit is highly regarded among stunt riders and extreme sports. The steady movement of the pedals also will enable riders, such as stunt riders, to control backward and forward movements with ease as well. Urban areas are also characterized by busy roads and numerous obstacles and the need for effective braking due to the density of traffic and many occasions of unexpected occurrences.

3.Greater efficiency. Uniform movement between the pedals and the rear wheel ensures energy efficiency. Energy efficiency is through the application of equal pressure to the rear wheel as is on the pedals; thus, the rider has full control of the bike. In many situations, notably flatter areas, the rider is not using the gears placed on other models. Dependent on the kind of terrain the rider is exposed to, the rider does not require the gears on a bike. The apparatus also act as a distraction to the rider with so much to do while merely riding.

4.Numerous uses. Fixies are ideal tools for activities such as exercise and weight loss, which is effectively achieved through leg movement and pressure imposed and gaining torque. Less torque is also applied on the knees as well as faster acceleration with comparatively less effort. Additionally, the inability to coast on the bike makes sure that exercising riders do not lag or lax during their training period for better results.

5.Streamlining and skill. The nature of this bike allows for rides to employ various skills such as low-speed manoeuvring. Also, having fewer parts on the bike develops a well-streamlined design, which is ideal for racing at high speeds. The streamlining of the fixie also generates a unique aesthetic when riding.

The fixed gear bike is, therefore, a wise venture for urban areas riding, exercise riding, and also sport riding. It has numerous advantages that set it uniquely apart from other makes of bikes.

  • Abu Dhabi Sees the End of the 2019 Formula 1 Season

Abu Dhabi Sees the End of the 2019 Formula 1 Season

December 1st saw the final race on the 2019 Formula 1 calendar, under the lights of the unique day-to-night race in Abu Dhabi. This brings the long, 21-race season to an end, with Lewis Hamilton and Mercedes keeping their World Championship titles for yet another year.

Motorsport fans now face a couple of months of quiet where the majority of the major series have begun their winter breaks. One of the first of these to return will be NASCAR, with the first race of the 2020 season being The Clash at DAYTONA on February 9th.

However, for the past few years, fans have been able to get their motorsports fix during the winter months thanks to the FIA Formula E Championship, an all electric series that runs from November to July. Like with all motorsports, petrol heads can add a little more excitement to races by placing wagers on the outcomes. Companies like Oddschecker help fans to get value for money when they do this by comparing odds and finding promotional offers and free bets.

    Dodgy DRS

The Yas Marina circuit was one of the circuits that spawned the idea of the FIA’s Drag Reduction System. The processional title decider, held there in 2010, when Fernando Alonso was unable to overtake the cars in front of him, was one of the biggest reasons for its introduction.

In 2019, we saw the first time this system failed during a race. The first 18 laps were run without drivers being able to activate the flap in their rear wings which assists them in making overtaking manoeuvres. Normally the system gets enabled on lap 3, once all of the crazy antics of the start have settled down.

However, due to a technical glitch that caused the server that handles the DRS system to crash, the FIA disabled it for all drivers. Formula 1’s Race Director, Micahel Masi, commented that it was a “precautionary” measure on safety grounds, adding that it may have been possible for teams and drivers to manage the system manually, but that they felt it was best to prevent its use on safety grounds.

    Floundering Ferraris

Ferrari have not had a great season, struggling with their aerodynamic packages. They had been tipped to be fighting the Mercedes drivers for both World Championships at the beginning of the season, yet Sebastien Vettel and Charles Leclerc ended up finished 4th and 5th overall. In the Constructions Championship, the Silver Arrows finished 235 points ahead of their Italian rivals, a disappointing end to a season that started with much promise.

The Abu Dhabi race weekend was the perfect metaphor for the Ferrari’s season. In qualifying on Saturday, Leclerc did not have enough time left in Q3 to complete his flying lap after leaving it too late to exit the pits. Meanwhile, Vettel spun his car on the pit straight as he went to attempt his first flying lap.

After finishing the race in third position, Leclerc was forced to face the stewards in a post-race investigation due to a fuel irregularity. Although he was allowed to keep his finishing position, Ferrari were fined €50,000 for the infringement. Many have questioned Ferrari’s poor strategy decisions throughout the season, with former World Champion, Nico Rosberg saying that this weekend another example of that.

    Mercedes Domination

The Yas Marina circuit has been a track that has suited the Mercedes cars for several years. 2019 was no different, with the team dominating all weekend. After taking pole on Saturday, Lewis Hamilton led from start to finish, taking a hat-trick from the weekend (pole position, win, and fastest lap). This too was a metaphor for the rest of the season, with Hamilton leading at least one lap in every race apart from the season opener in Melbourne and the Italian Grand Prix at Monza.

The race would have been a clean sweep for Mercedes, with a front row lockout in qualifying and one-two finish in the race, if Valtteri Bottas hadn’t picked up a grid place penalty. This is quite evident from his stellar race performance which saw him go from 20th to 4th, narrowly missing out on a podium position.

Hamilton’s dominance has been so strong this year that he broke several records. He scored more points this season than in any other year, beating his own record from last season. He became the first driver to score points in every race of the season for two years. He is also now just one World Championship away from equalling Michael Schumacher’s all-time record of seven.

    What’s in Store for 2020?

Major rule changes are on their way in 2021, but that means we have another year in the current format. It is unlikely much will change between now and next season. Ferrari may finally get their act together and mount a charge against Mercedes, but at present this does not seem to be likely. Based on the 2019 season, and the final races like the one at Abu Dhabi, 2020 is Mercedes’ season to lose.
