Menard, Motorcraft Team Upbeat Heading Into Richmond

After good runs in the past three Monster Energy Cup Series races, Paul Menard and the No. 21 Motorcraft/Quick Lane team head to Richmond Raceway, where they posted a top-10 finish back in April.

Menard, who finished ninth at Darlington, 10th at Indianapolis and 14th at Las Vegas in the past three weeks, took advantage of a good pit strategy and a fast Ford Mustang at Richmond in the spring to score stage points in both stages and finish 10th at the end.

Eddie Wood said he feels good about his team’s prospects at Richmond, which hasn’t always been one of the team’s best tracks.

“We have won there, with Speedy Thompson and Kyle Petty, but it had been a while since we had a run like Paul and the team had back in April,” he said. “I hope we can repeat that run this weekend and keep building on what we’ve done the past few weeks.”

In recent races at Richmond, teams including the Wood Brothers have benefitted by pitting early in a green-flag run then using the fresh tires to leap frog past those who ran longer before stopping for tires and fuel.

The strategy works best when the pit crew has quick stops and gains the team positions on pit road, as the No. 21 team did back in April.

It also helped that Menard started up front. He qualified 13th, but moved up four spots for the start after teams ahead of him in qualifying failed inspection.

“We have a lot of confidence heading into Richmond,” Wood said. “We have nine more chances this year to get that 100th win and get it with Paul, and Richmond is as good a place as any to get it.”

Qualifying for Federated Auto Parts 400 is set for Friday at 6:05 p.m., and the race is scheduled to start just after 7:30 p.m. on Saturday with TV coverage on NBCSN.

    From the Driver’s Seat:

Matt DiBenedetto: “Looking ahead to this weekend at Richmond, it’s a track that is more of a strong suit for us as a team since it is a short track. I enjoy the fact that this weekend at Richmond drivers will need to lay off the gas, use the brake pedal, and that we slide around a bit more than other tracks. When we raced there earlier in the season, we learned that track position meant more there than it has in the past, so driving through the field was more challenging than before. Even though it’s a short track, we’re very grip-limited in the corner at Richmond, so dirty air was a big deal in the spring race. It made for a challenging day if you happened to have any problems during the race where you would’ve gotten stuck back in the field. Richmond is a better type of track for us than the 1.5-mile ones since we’ve typically been faster at the short tracks so far this year.”

    From the Pit Box:

Mike Wheeler: “Richmond is as challenging of a short track as Loudon and Phoenix since each one of those tracks has their own unique characteristics. Even though it’s one of the smaller tracks, the aero contribution Richmond has because of the speed versus banking combined with the tire combination, is definitely a challenge. Richmond is only slightly bigger than Martinsville, but it reacts more like an intermediate track. Tire falloff can be substantial at Richmond and that can make for good racing, however, there’s not many multiple grooves that are really preferred so you can find it difficult to pass. Everyone has improved their packages since the spring race as it was one of the earlier short track races of the season. Practice was also cut short when we raced there in the spring due to rain and we found that if you were off to start, you generally didn’t get enough time on track to be able to catch back up which happened to our group. So hopefully some of the stuff we’ve learned through the summer with our success at Loudon we can apply this weekend at Richmond to hopefully be a few steps better.”

NASCAR XFINITY SERIES PLAYOFF OPENER SET FOR RICHMOND

The NASCAR XFINITY Series kicks off its seven-race Playoff season on Friday night at Richmond Raceway and Ford will have all three of its full-time NASCAR XFINITY competitors in the 12-driver field. Cole Custer is seeded second after winning six times during the regular season while Austin Cindric and Chase Briscoe are fourth and fifth, respectively. The field will be trimmed to eight following the Oct. 5 race at Dover International Speedway.

    GOLDSMITH GOLDEN

The first time Ford went to victory lane in the Monster Energy NASCAR Cup Series at Richmond International Raceway was on May 5, 1957 when Paul Goldsmith started seventh and won the Richmond 250. That was his second win of the season and came on a day that Ford dominated from start to finish by leading all 200 laps. Pete DePaolo fielded three cars under his DePaolo Engineering sponsorship and watched as Fireball Roberts jumped to the lead and held it for the first 159 laps before Goldsmith came on and passed him with 41 laps remaining. Goldsmith went on to win the race by one lap with Roberts finishing second and Marvin Panch third to give Ford and DePaolo a sweep of the top three spots. Goldsmith ended up winning a career-high four races with Ford that season, which included victories in Greensboro (NC), Lancaster (SC), and Raleigh (NC).

    KYLE PETTY’S FIRST WIN

The Wood Brothers have 99 all-time Monster Energy NASCAR Cup Series victories and many of those have been first-time wins for whoever was lucky enough to be behind the wheel. Kyle Petty was that man in the mid-1980s and on Feb. 23, 1986 found himself in the right place at the right time. Driving the No. 7 Ford for Glen Wood – the car carried that number because of sponsor 7-Eleven – Petty was the beneficiary of an ongoing battle between Darrell Waltrip and Dale Earnhardt. After Waltrip passed Earnhardt to take the lead with two to go, Earnhardt made contact with Waltrip and both cars went spinning into the wall. Others got collected in the aftermath, but Petty was able to get through unscathed and took the checkered flag under caution for his first series triumph.

BURTON WINS BATTLE OF THE JEFFS

Jeff Burton and Jeff Gordon waged a memorable battle at RIR on Sept. 12, 1998 in the Exide NASCAR Select Batteries 400 in which Burton emerged victorious. The two drivers exchanged the lead eight times during the middle stages of the 400-lap feature until Jimmy Spencer joined them. Those three combined to lead the final 259 laps, but the winner was in doubt until the very end as Gordon steadily chased down Burton, who grabbed the top spot from Spencer with 40 to go. Gordon was on Burton’s bumper as the two took the white flag, and he dove to the inside as they entered turn three. Burton maintained his high line and got enough momentum off turn four to win by half-a-car length (.051 seconds).

    A PENSKE SEASON SWEEP

Thanks to Team Penske, Ford dominated the 2014 season at RIR as both Joey Logano and Brad Keselowski made it to victory lane. Keselowski clinched the top seed for the ensuing Chase with a dominating performance that saw him lead all but 17 of the 400 laps, including the final 274 circuits. The win was his fourth of the season and marked the third time Ford swept both MENCS races at the three-quarter-mile track, and the first since 1997. Logano won the first RIR race after passing Matt Kenseth with four laps to go to claim his fifth career series victory.

  • Another Record-Breaking Year for Bobby Labonte Foundation Charity Bike Ride

Another Record-Breaking Year for Bobby Labonte Foundation Charity Bike Ride

Annual Fundraiser Welcomes More Than 400 Riders, Nets $50,000

HIGH POINT, N.C. – (September 17, 2019) – The Bobby Labonte Foundation, founded by NASCAR Champion and Hall of Fame race car driver and High Point businessman Bobby Labonte, set another new record for participation, with more than 400 riders joining the annual Bobby Labonte Foundation Charity Bike Ride on September 7. The weekend’s activities raised a total of $50,000 for this year’s charity grant recipients: High Point LEAP, Big Brothers Big Sisters of the Central Piedmont, Inc. and High Point Swim Club.

The funds were raised through sponsorships, rider registration fees, participant fundraising, and a cocktail party and silent auction hosted by Markor, which sold out again this year. It was the ninth year for the foundation’s Charity Bike Ride, which has continued to grow its participation numbers. The organizations receiving donations applied for grants through the Bobby Labonte Foundation earlier this year, and align with the foundation’s mission to help build stronger foundations for children and families in the Triad area.

“We are thrilled about the turnout for my annual Charity Bike Ride,” said Bobby Labonte. “It was a community effort by the volunteers who organized everything, the sponsors who supported us and the participants who fundraised and rode with us. Even the organizations receiving our grants volunteered the day of the Charity Bike Ride. We are so proud to be part of the High Point community and humbled to be able to help children and families by donating $50,000 to these local non-profits.”

The schedule featured two new events this year, the Mayor’s Ride, a free ride through the streets of downtown High Point with Mayor Jay Wagner, and FamFest, presented by Ilderton Dodge Chrysler Jeep. Children and families from around the area joined in the FamFest fun at the Mendenhall Transportation Terminal, which featured a NASCAR race car simulator, bounce houses, a dunk tank, games, food, face painting, local vendors and free hot dogs from Cook Out.

“The Bobby Labonte Foundation brought another successful event to our great city,” said Tim Ilderton, CEO of Ilderton Chrysler Dodge Jeep. “Their cocktail party and silent auction, highlighting the newest furniture building, Markor, was an event many High Pointers enjoyed. Congratulations to Kristin and Bobby Labonte, they have truly made a difference in our children’s future security and education. Ilderton was proud to be a part of this event.”

The week before the ride, the Bobby Labonte Foundation once again held a kids’ bike build and surprise giveaway. 50 bikes donated by Colavita went to children in the Guilford County Guardian ad Litem program, and the foundation provided new helmets.

  • Newman Drives to Top-10 Finish at Las Vegas

Newman Drives to Top-10 Finish at Las Vegas

LAS VEGAS (Sept. 15, 2019) — Ryan Newman opened the NASCAR Playoffs with a strong top-10 run Sunday evening at Las Vegas Motor Speedway, crossing the line 10th in his Oscar Mayer Ford.

“We needed track position but most importantly we needed to get our Oscar Meyer Ford Mustang tightened up and we finally did toward the last run,” Newman said following the race. “We still finished loose but we fought really hard with being loose all day long and this is not a good place to be loose. It is a challenge. I am surprised we were as loose as we were but we had a good car and made some decent points but not the day that we wanted to have.”

In a race that featured only two non-stage cautions, Newman worked his way into the top-five with under 100 laps to go, and never left the top-10 from there, picking up his 10th top-10 of 2019.

The South Bend, Indiana, native rolled off the grid 17th after finishing final practice inside the top-10 on the speed charts. Early on he battled loose-handling conditions in his No. 6 Ford, before finishing 19th in the opening 80-lap stage.

After firing off 15th for the second stage, Newman advanced his way to 11th by lap 100, before working his way inside the top-10 not long after. The team pitted under green at lap 123, continuing to try and fine tune the handling, before finishing the segment 14th.

Newman rolled off 13th for the final stage before the balance began to turn the corner. The first non-stage yellow of the day flew at lap 180 with Newman running 16th, when crew chief Scott Graves made a key strategy call to put just two tires on. The call allowed him to restart third at lap 185, but the caution flag immediately came back out two laps later.

He would restart third again before fading to eighth by lap 227, when he brought his Ford to pit road one final time for service. With the final 72 laps going green, Newman held strong and finished 10th.

The first round of the NASCAR Playoffs continue next week at Richmond Raceway. Race coverage Saturday night begins at 7:30 p.m. ET on NBCSN. Coverage can also be heard on MRN and SiriusXM Channel 90.

  • Menard Finishes 14th At Las Vegas

Menard Finishes 14th At Las Vegas

Paul Menard and the No. 21 Menards/Monster Ford Mustang started strong in Sunday’s South Point 400 at Las Vegas Motor Speedway. But the march forward from their 21st starting position lasted only a handful of laps before Menard began falling back.

After struggling through the first two 80-lap stages and falling two laps off the pace, Menard and the team manufactured some good fortune and wound up 14th at the finish.

The turn-around started near the end of Stage Two when crew chief Greg Erwin elected to run long, which set the No. 21 team up for taking the wave-around during the caution period for the end of that stage.

That put Menard just one lap down, and after just 14 laps under the green flag another caution fell, allowing the team to try another wave-around, which also worked in their favor.

Back on the lead lap Menard began moving forward – he had been as low as 28th at one point – and worked his way into the top 15.

The wild, four- and five-wide restarts also impacted Menard’s run, as he received damage to the nose of the Menards/Monster Mustang just after a late-race restart, but the crew repaired the damage on the next pit stop and he drove his way to 14th at the finish.

It was his third-straight finish of 15th or better and his 13th top-15 in the 27 races to date.

Eddie Wood said he was glad to see the night end on a positive note.

“The car was quite a bit better at the end of the race, which is encouraging,” he said.

“We weren’t fast enough to contend for the win, but our strategy worked and we were able to make up two laps and gain some spots at the end.”

Menard and the No. 21 team will be back on track Saturday night at Richmond Raceway.

  • Stenhouse Jr. Finishes 26th at Las Vegas after Late-Race Penalty

Stenhouse Jr. Finishes 26th at Las Vegas after Late-Race Penalty

LAS VEGAS, Nev. (Sept. 15, 2019) – After a strong start powering his SunnyD Ford up to the third position after starting 12th in the first five laps, Ricky Stenhouse Jr. was running in the sixth-position before having to make an unscheduled pit-stop for a cut tire. After fighting back and getting back on the lead lap, Stenhouse was assessed a pit-road speeding penalty forcing him to settle with a 26th-place finish in Sunday’s Monster Energy NASCAR Cup Series race at Las Vegas Motor Speedway.

“Our SunnyD Ford was really good there at the start,” Stenhouse said. “I got loose there and got into the wall causing a tire rub. The guys did a great job with strategy getting us back on the lead lap. It ended up being a bummer of a day for us. We just can’t catch a break.”

After qualifying 12th for the 267-lap race, the Olive Branch, Miss. native powered his way inside the top five by lap three where he maintained until the first round of green flag pit-stops on lap 40. Shortly after the green flag pit-stop, the Sunny D Ford snapped loose causing Stenhouse to brush the wall. Due to a tire rub that eventually cut the tire, Stenhouse brought the Sunny D Ford to pit-road for unscheduled two-tire stop. When the first green checkered waved, Stenhouse was scored in the 27th position, one lap down.

After taking the wave around, Stenhouse worked his up to 21st by the time the second green checkered waved despite battling a tight handling condition. With a flurry of cautions early in the final stage, Stenhouse was able to get back on the lead lap.

With four fresh tires and fuel, the two-time Xfinity champion lined up in the 18th position but fell a few positions due to a tight machine. During the final green flag pit-stop cycle, Stenhouse was assessed with a pit-road speeding penalty forcing him to serve a pass-thru penalty under green flag conditions. With less than 40 laps remaining, Stenhouse was unable to rebound forcing him to settle with a 26th-place finish.

Stenhouse and the No. 17 team head Richmond Raceway next weekend. Race coverage begins Saturday, September 21 at 7:30 p.m. ET on NBCSN. Coverage can also be heard on MRN and SIRIUS radio channel 90.

    Stage 2: 13th
    Finish: 3rd
    Status: Running
    Laps Completed: 267/26

Driver Point Standings (behind first): 5th (-24)

    Notes:

Brad Keselowski overcame a rough start to post a third-place finish in the South Point 400 Sunday night at Las Vegas Motor Speedway. Keselowski struggled mightily early in the 267-lap event but rallied in the second half of the event to score his 10th top-five finish of the 2019 season. The driver of the Autotrader Ford moves up to fifth in the NASCAR Cup Series point standings, 24 behind leader Martin Truex Jr. and five behind fourth-place Kyle Busch. He claimed his ninth top-10 in 13 starts at Las Vegas including nine consecutive dating back to the 2013 spring race at the 1.5-mile Nevada speedway.

Keselowski started 18th and struggled off Turn 4 early in Stage 1. He pitted under green on lap 42 for four tires and a chassis adjustment. The changes by crew chief Paul Wolfe didn’t improve the balance on the No. 2 Mustang and Keselowski finished 18th when the segment ended on lap 80. Keselowski pitted on lap 83 during the stage caution and for four tires and more adjustments and restarted 20th on lap 86.

The handling on the No. 2 Ford didn’t improve during Stage 2. By lap 100 Keselowski was still running 20th with a Mustang that was loose on corner entry and tight in the center and on exit. He made a green flag stop on lap 122 and crew chief Paul Wolfe made an air pressure adjustment on the right-rear. The change was considerably better, according to Keselowski, who rallied through traffic to finish 13th when the segment ended on lap 160.

During the stage caution, Wolfe and the Autotrader team pitted twice during the yellow, on laps 164 and 166, for a major wedge and bump stop adjustment. Keselowski restarted in 20th position near the tail end of the field when the race went green on lap 167.

By lap 178 Keselowski said his Mustang was once again quite a handful, now very loose on corner entry although slightly better on corner exit. He dropped back to The third caution on lap 182 gave the team a chance to pit for tires and more adjustments. Good pit work moved Keselowski up to 13th for the restart on lap 185 and was up to ninth position when the fourth and final caution slowed the pace on lap 189. Wolfe kept his driver on the track and Keselowski restarted eighth when the race went green on lap 195.

The driver of the Autotrader Ford used a great restart to move up to fourth position on lap 196. He moved up to third when he made his final stop for four tires on lap 230, 37 laps from the finish and remained there after the cycle of stops was complete with just 17 laps remaining. Try as he might, Keselowski couldn’t reel in eventual winner Martin Truex Jr. but he did hold off Chase Elliott during the closing laps of the race.

Quotes: “We had a bad start tonight but a good finish. We weren’t driving very good at the start. Nothing I was doing was working and we were just kind of bleeding positions. Almost lost laps. The team worked on it really hard there and got us back to a spot where we could kind of almost steal a win. I thought for a minute we might be able to. All in all it was a good day. Not the win we were looking for but a lot of perseverance and a lot to be proud of. We didn’t freak out and everyone kept their head on their shoulders.”

No. 12 PPG Ford Mustang – Ryan Blaney
    Start: 23rd
    Stage 1: 11th
    Stage 2: 8th
    Finish: 5th
    Status: Running
    Laps Completed: 267/267
    Laps Led: 1
Point Standings (behind first): 10th (-43)

    Notes:

Ryan Blaney started 23rd and finished fifth in Sunday night’s South Point 400 at the Las Vegas Motor Speedway. The driver of the PPG Ford Mustang led a lap on the day and gained two positions in the points standings to 10th, -43 points behind points leader Martin Truex Jr. His eighth top-five of season ties a career-best for the High Point, N.C. native.

At the drop of the green flag, Blaney jumped to 20th from his 23rd starting position. He reported early that the PPG Ford was very tight and chattering the front tires. On lap 42, after moving as high as 18th, crew chief Jeremy Bullins called the No. 12 Ford Mustang to the pits for four tires along with a wedge and air pressure adjustment under green. The adjustment would prove to the be the right move and Blaney drove his way up to 11th where he would finish Stage 1.

Under the stage break, Blaney would return to pit road where Bullins would opt for a slight air pressure adjustment to complement the first pit stop adjustments. Strong pit service by the PPG crew gained Blaney three sports when racing resumed on lap 87.

Shortly after the restart Blaney would gain a spot up to seventh but would soon report the PPG Ford had gone back to the very tight side. He would make his next round of pit service again under green on lap 123, where the PPG crew would take four tires, along with an air pressure adjustment. The stage ran without caution and Blaney would come home eighth in Stage 2.

Under the final stage break Blaney would come to pit road on lap 165 for four tires and another air pressure adjustment. Another strong pit stop by the PPG crew gained Blaney a spot up to seventh for the restart. When racing resumed, Blaney reported the same tight handling characteristics, although they had made improvements from when the race began.

A caution on lap 181 would see strategy begin to come into play. The PPG crew pitted for right side tires and an air pressure adjustment. The move would see Blaney restart second alongside Denny Hamlin when racing resumed on lap 185. The two would go side-by-lap for several laps until third-place Kevin Harvick managed to pass both drivers on lap 187.

Following a caution on lap 189, the final 72 laps of the event ran green. Blaney would eventually battle with teammate Brad Keselowski for the third position, with Keselowski prevailing. Blaney would make his final stop on lap 230, taking four tires and air pressure adjustment. He would fight hard to keep fourth, but a slower lap traffic allowed Chase Elliott to pass him late and Blaney would bring home a fifth-place finish. This marked his third top-five in the last four races at the 1.5-mile speedway.

Quote: “It was a long night for sure. We didn’t start very good but took big swings at it. We were on both the tight side and loose side. We couldn’t take off very fast. Other guys would take off really fast. At the end of a run we were really fast up by the wall, but we just lost too much ground and then I just got tight there at the end.”

No. 22 Pennzoil Ford Mustang – Joey Logano
    Start: 22nd
    Stage 1: 1st
    Stage 2: 2nd
    Finish: 9th
    Status: Running
    Laps Completed: 267/267
    Laps Led: 105
Point Standings (behind first): 3rd (-7)

    Notes:

Joey Logano flashed brilliant speed while showing grit and determination in Sunday evening’s South Point Casino 400 at Las Vegas Motor Speedway, leading a race high 105 laps, scoring 19 stage points and one playoff point for the Stage 1 win in route to a ninth place finish in the No. 22 Pennzoil Ford Mustang. Logano proved to be the class of the field from the drop of the green flag until damage in the final stage put a damper on the night fo the defending series champion.

After starting in the 22nd position, Logano stormed forward with the No. 22 Pennzoil Ford Mustang, reaching the eighth position before lap 10 around the 1.5-mile Las Vegas Motor Speedway. Logano remained quiet on the radio, letting spotter TJ Majors guide his forward progress. By lap 23, Logano had moved into the top-five, then to the third position by lap 25.

On lap 34, Logano claimed the lead with the No. 22 Pennzoil Ford and slowly began stretching out a lead as green flag pit stops approached. When all stops were complete, Logano cycled back to the lead as the end of the first stage approached. The driver of the Pennzoil Ford Mustang reported he was a bit freer on the second run of the race, continuing to run the fastest lap times on the track. Logano claimed the first stage by over six seconds on second place running Kevin Harvick.

Through the opening laps of the second stage, Logano continued to lead, reporting the Pennzoil Ford Mustang was still slightly loose through both corners, slightly worse in turns 3 and 4. Logano pitted from the lead at lap 123 for four tires and fuel with the team making only slight air pressure adjustments for the loose condition. Logano continued to lead until three laps remaining in the second stage when he got pinned behind two slower cars and relinquished the lead, finishing second in the stage.

On the stage ending stop, the 22 team made a four tire stop, adding tape to the nose and another slight air pressure adjustment. Under caution at lap 182, the team elected to pit again, taking four tires while others took two, cycling them back to the seventh position. Unfortunately, Logano suffered damage on the ensuing restart and had to come to pit road for extensive repairs. After the repairs, Logano restarted the race deep in the field but slowly worked his way forward, reaching the 13th position by lap 215.

Logano reported the Pennzoil Ford had swung to the tight side, prompting the team to pit early in the window at lap 230 for a four tire stop and trackbar adjustment. Logano would use the adjustments to rally back into the top-10, finishing ninth at the checkered flag. The solid day earning stage points and a stage win, coupled with the ninth place finish has Logano third in the series standings, trailing leader Martin Truex Jr as the series heads to Richmond Raceway next Saturday night.

Quote: “Our car was fast. We were definitely capable of winning this thing, no doubt. We showed that. That is positive. I like that part. We scored a lot of points which is also positive. I don’t know where we are in the standings yet but the stages and the finish gives us some points to hopefully give us a little cushion over the next couple races but we have to still be smart to make it to the next round. If we didn’t have a wrecked car we would have had a shot at winning. We were really good at the beginning of the race. We drove all the way to the lead and led a bunch of laps. We can be proud of that. We won’t let our heads get down on this. It is still a strong day.”

Austin Dillon and the Bass Pro Shops / Tracker Off Road Chevrolet Camaro ZL1 Team Earn 12th-Place Finish in Las Vegas

    Finish: 12th
    Start: 7th
    Points: 21st

“Man, I wish this race was during the day. Our Bass Pro Shops Chevy was so good while the sun was out. I was a little tight off turn 4 when Stage 1 ended, but didn’t really need any adjustments. As the sun set, I lost stability and struggled in traffic. We used the stage break to make additional changes trying to free up my Camaro ZL1 as it still lacked forward drive. When the caution came out on Lap 180, we pitted to take another swing at loosening up this Chevy. Unfortunately, we had an uncontrolled tire penalty but it did allow us to come back down pit road to top off with fuel and adjust on the car more. We got the car better and made a good strategy to stay out for track position during a late caution to pick up additional spots. I’m proud of this No. 3 Bass Pro Shops team for the work this weekend. We unloaded fast, qualified in the top 10, and were good at the start of the race. We will continue to work on this set up to get it right, but now, it’s on to Richmond.” -Austin Dillon

Daniel Hemric Collects 17th-Place Finish In Cessna Chevrolet at
    Las Vegas Motor Speedway

    Finish: 17th
    Start: 6th
    Points: 25th

“We made big strides from practice with this No. 8 Cessna Chevrolet Camaro ZL1. After qualifying, I had high expectations headed into the race. When the sun was out the car was just way too tight throughout the first run. Our handling balance would swing a lot from being really tight and then halfway through the run it was like a light switch and I would get super, super loose. We got that better throughout the race and back to where I could run more throttle, which allowed us to move forward into the top 10 and be more aggressive on restarts and make some hay during those time. On that last green flag stop we just got a little too free to where I couldn’t make the most time coming off pit road and just struggled a bit on that last run. All-in-all, proud of these guys for never giving up throughout the weekend. We have nine more chances to go out and do something special as a group and that’s the goal moving forward.” -Daniel Hemric
