Parker Retzlaff boasts new marketing in ARCA East return at Nashville

NASHVILLE, Tenn.: The nearly two-and-a-half-month sabbatical from racing in the ARCA Menards Series East is nearly over for Parker Retzlaff.

After nearly an 11-week break competition resumes for the Cook Finley Racing driver in Saturday night’s Crosley Record Pressing 200 at Fairgrounds Nashville (Tenn.) Speedway.

The teenage standout heads to the Music City boasting a new partner for his No. 42 Toyota Camry for the third race of the 2021 season.

Outlaw Trucking Supply promoting its GrilleAdz product will serve as a major associate marketing partner for Retzlaff in his ninth career ARCA Menards Series East start.

“I’m very thankful to represent GrilleAdz this weekend at Nashville,” said Retzlaff. “Anytime you can bring a new partner into the sport and one that is relatable to vehicles is a win-win for us. Hopefully, Nashville is the first of many races with them this season.”

17-year-old Retzlaff has never been to Fairgrounds Speedway Nashville as a driver, but he is looking forward to the challenges the historic half-mile oval presents and the opportunity to conquer it with his Cook Finley Racing team.

“Nashville is a track that everyone seems to enjoy,” added Retzlaff. “I have heard a lot about it. Even though I don’t have many laps there, there is a lot of other ARCA Menards Series East drivers in the same boat.

“Hopefully, we can have a productive practice and get our No. 42 Ponsse | GrilleAdz Toyota Camry tuned up for qualifying and the race.”

In the most recent race at Five Flags (Fla.) Speedway, Retzlaff earned a career-best sixth-place finish and is eager to build on the momentum of the Pensacola 200 and vie for a top-five finish or better Saturday night.

“I’m really proud of Amber (Slagle, crew chief) and the rest of the Cook Finley Racing team for their hard work at Pensacola and all season long,” Retzlaff continued. “We have proven that we are fast – but we have been working hard to show that we can be fast from start to finish. I have learned a lot as a driver in the last year and our finish at Five Flags was a good indicator of our improvement as a driver and team.”

Retzlaff believes his team is capable of scoring their first career ARCA Menards Series East win this weekend if all the stars align.

“The sky is the limit for us at Nashville this week,” he said. “We can win. This team is good enough to win. But, if the opportunity is not good enough to win, we’ll think big picture and focus on points and look ahead to Dover next weekend.”

Ponsse, which manufactures and markets a range of forestry vehicles and machinery such as forwarders and harvesters will return as the primary partner of Retzlaff’s No. 42 Toyota this weekend.

GrilleAdz, Iron Horse Loggers, Eco-Tracks, Paul G. Senft & Sons Trenching LLC, Strike Force Energy, MMI, Sunwest Construction, Zamp, Absolute Realtors and HDFive | Horvath Design will all join as associate partners for the 200-lap race on May 8.

“I feel very fortunate to be able to have a stack of companies that believe in me and our Cook Finley Racing team,” added Retzlaff. “We earned them some time in the spotlight in the first two races of the season, it’s important to keep that going this weekend at Nashville.”

With six East races remaining this season, Retzlaff is seventh in the championship standings, four points from fifth and 19 behind current points leader Sammy Smith.

Outside of the cockpit, Retzlaff is an accomplished iRacer with 1,222 poles, 1,569 wins, 3,139 top-five and more than 60,000 laps led.

  • Max Gutiérrez ready to resume ARCA Menards Series East schedule in Nashville

Max Gutiérrez ready to resume ARCA Menards Series East schedule in Nashville

NASHVILLE, Tenn.: After a nearly 10-week sabbatical, the ARCA Menards Series East schedule resumes this weekend at Fairgrounds Speedway (Tenn.) Nashville with Rette Jones Racing Rookie Max Gutiérrez eyeing his second win of the season in Saturday night’s Crosley Record Pressing 200.

Two races into the 2021 season, Gutiérrez has finished first and seventh respectively, but the Mexico City, Mex. native knows if he is going to have a shot at a championship, he needs a top-five or better in his debut at the historic Nashville short track.

“It feels like last year since I’ve been in an ARCA East car, but I’m ready to get back after it this weekend,” said Gutiérrez who has spent the break racing in Mexico.

“I’m excited to get back to the track with Mark and the Rette Jones Racing team and learn a new track and have an opportunity to contend for the win.”

Nashville marks the second ARCA Menards Series East track this season that Gutiérrez has never turned laps in his brief stock car career but with the notebook of the co-team owner and crew chief Mark Rette, the 18-year-old is committed to utilizing practice and the guidance of Rette to make his Nashville trip a memorable one.

“Practice is super important for our No. 30 TOUGHBUILT Ford Fusion team this year, including this weekend at Nashville,” added Gutiérrez. “With every lap turned it puts me and our team in a much better position for the race. It’s all about getting comfortable during practice and from there it’s putting up another good lap in qualifying and being at the right place at the right time when it comes to the checked flag.”

Nine points behind championship points leader Sammy Smith in the ARCA Menards Series East champion standings, Gutiérrez realizes with a win in the bank, the bigger picture is still a priority.

“We want to win again, but if that opportunity doesn’t present itself, we don’t need to put ourselves in a spot where we give points away and take us out of the championship. It’s only race three of eight, but we are points racing. There is not room for error and a lot more to be lost than gained. Hopefully, we leave Nashville on Saturday night in a good place and a good spot heading to Dover.”

Set for his fourth career ARCA East start, Gutiérrez knows without support, this weekend would not be possible.

“I cannot thank my partners TOUGHBUILT, TekNekk, Telcel (Jimmy Morales) and Avaya enough for this chance to fight for another win and of course for Rette Jones Racing for the opportunity to drive their race cars.

“Two races in, I know we have turned heads, but we cannot afford to get complacent and just have to remember what is at stake for everyone involved.”

Rette says he’s proud of Gutiérrez’s initiatives and believes they can be in the hunt for the third career win for RJR.

“I know that Five Flags didn’t go the way we hoped, but we came out of the race with a top-10 and valuable experience for Max. Nashville is a track that I feel should be in Max’s wheelhouse and I think everyone is rejuvenated after this long break and ready to get back to Victory Lane.”

RJR is co-owned by Canadian entrepreneur and former race car driver Terry Jones.

Before Gutiérrez turns his attention to Saturday’s activities, he will be in Nashville on Fri., May 7 along with his No. 30 TOUGHBUILT Ford Fusion for a special announcement at Fairgrounds Speedway Nashville with former NASCAR driver and current NBC Sports analyst Dale Earnhardt Jr. alongside. The event will take place from 12:30 p.m. – 1:15 p.m. CT.

The Crosley Record Pressing 200 (200 laps | 100 miles) is the third of eight races on the 2021 ARCA Menards Series East schedule. Practice begins for the one-day show on Saturday, May 8 from 1:30 p.m. – 2:45 p.m. General Tire pole qualifying is set for later in the day at 4:15 p.m. The event will take the green flag just after 8:30 p.m. with live television coverage on TrackPass on NBC Sports Gold. • ARCA SEASON FINALE TO SWEETEN UP WITH REESE’S 150

ARCA SEASON FINALE TO SWEETEN UP WITH REESE’S 150

Toledo, Oh. (May 1, 2021) – In a move that is sure to make race teams, drivers, and fans alike happy, the season finale for the ARCA Menards Series at Kansas Speedway will be named the Reese’s 150. The championship-deciding race, shown live this season on MAVTV, will be held the weekend before Halloween on October 23, part of a same-day doubleheader with the NASCAR Xfinity Series.

The Reese’s brand has already made a big splash in the ARCA Menards Series in 2021 with the Sweet Move of the Race Award, voted upon by fans via ARCA’s social media channels.

“Our partnership with Reese’s has its foundation with a business-to-business partnership with Menards, but we’ve had a lot of fun so far this season because they’re big fans of what we do,” said ARCA president Ron Drager. “They’re race fans first and foremost and it’s been really great to see them so engaged with the Sweet Move of the Race every week so far in 2021. We’re glad to have them on board for our season finale at Kansas, which is right before Halloween. That will give all of our great fans one more reminder to get out and stock up for those trick-or-treaters the next weekend.”

“The countdown to the Reese’s 150 is on and we couldn’t be more thrilled to be a part of this season with the ARCA Menards Series,” said Allen Dark, Senior Brand Manager for the Reese’s brand. “We want to congratulate the teams for their past 10 years of the series at Kansas Speedway, what an accomplishment. We can’t wait to see how the season plays out in anticipation of the finale to come this October 2021 and celebrate with all our race fans.”

ARCA’s history at Kansas Speedway dates back to the track’s opening weekend in June 2001, a weekend shared with what is now known as the ARCA Menards Series West. Frank Kimmel won the West race on June 2, 2001, his only career West Series victory, while Jason Jarrett – grandson of NASCAR legend Ned Jarrett and son of three-time Daytona 500 winner Dale Jarrett – scored his first career ARCA Menards Series win the following day. All told, 18 different drivers have won in the previous 21 ARCA Menards Series races at the track. Last season marked the first time in history the 1.5-mile tri-oval hosted two ARCA Menards Series races in the same season, with eventual series champion Bret Holmes earning his first career series win in July while 2021 Daytona winner Corey Heim won for the first time in his career in October.

“As we celebrate our 20th anniversary this season, we’re honored to welcome Reese’s on board when we once again host the season finale for the ARCA Menards Series,” said Kansas Speedway President Pat Warren. “ARCA racing is incredibly important to the history of our facility and has been a part of our schedule every year dating back to the very first on-track action in June, 2001. We’re proud to share such a storied history with the series and I look forward to October when we crown another champion in the Reese’s 150.”

The Reese’s 150 will also mark the tenth consecutive year the ARCA Menards Series champion will be decided at Kansas Speedway dating back to 2012.

  • Greg Van Alst takes an upbeat approach to Kansas Speedway debut

Greg Van Alst takes an upbeat approach to Kansas Speedway debut

KANSAS CITY, Kan: Greg Van Alst may not have a lot to show when it comes to finishing positions this season in the ARCA Menards Series, but that is a statistic he is determined to change in Saturday afternoon’s Dutch Boy 150 at Kansas Speedway.

The 2019 ARCA CRA champion invades Kansas after turning in another stunning performance last weekend at Talladega (Ala.) Superspeedway – only to see his impressive showing end 15 laps from the finish after being eliminated by another competitor while running second in the General Tire 200.

While frustrated with the results of his return to the ARCA Menards Series in nearly two decades, Van Alst and his Jim Long-led team are also encouraged by the performance of their No. 35 CB Fabricating Chevrolet.

They, like everyone else though hope their luck will finally change in Kansas City.

“I’m extremely proud of Jim (Long) and the entire Greg Van Alst Motorsports team for their hard work this season and especially at Talladega last weekend,” said Van Alst.

“I think we proved that our Daytona performance wasn’t a fluke – we just, unfortunately, did not have the luck we needed to get to the checkered flag.
“Still, we are bringing fast race cars to the track and I think Kansas will be no different.”

Van Alst hasn’t competed on an intermediate track since 2002 when he last raced at Chicagoland (Ill.) Speedway and earned a career-best 15th place finish for Locke Motorsports. Now, 19 years later, Van Alst will race at Kansas – a 1.5-mile speedway with similar characteristics to Chicagoland — eyeing his first career top-10 finish.

“I can’t remember everything about Kentucky and Chicagoland in 2002, but I know I had a lot of fun,” added Van Alst. “The series and even race cars have changed a lot since then though. Thankfully, I have Jim and even Chad (Bryant of Chad Bryant Racing) whom we bought our intermediate car from have been a huge asset.

“I feel we are bringing an extremely competitive intermediate car and have the chance of earning our best finish of the year and give us some much-welcomed momentum into the summer stretch.”

With practice on deck, this weekend at Kansas, Van Alst and his team have a strict agenda.

“We are going to be pretty aggressive during practice,” he said. “We don’t have a lot of time, but we need to make sure our No. 35 CB Fabricating Chevrolet is handling well where we can get some good track position for early in the race.

“We have to stay on the lead lap during the first segment. We’ll make adjustments and just go hard the second half of the race and hope for the best. If all goes well, we will take what we learned at Kansas and apply it to Charlotte and see if we can’t continue to turn heads this season.”

CB Fabricating, a longtime partner with Greg Van Alst Motorsports has boosted its commitment to the team and will continue its role as the primary marketing partner of Van Alst’s No. 35 Chevrolet.

Headquartered in Anderson, Ind., CB Fabricating offers a complete list of fabricating from design, laser cutting, CNC punching, forming, welding, powder coating, and assembly.

Their 26,000 square foot facility allows them to service the needs of many different industries. Everything from the Automotive, agricultural, aquatic, medical, transportation, electrical enclosures, and much more.

“Without the support of Chris Barkdull and everyone at CB Fabricating, this chance to elevate our team to the next level would not have been possible,” added Van Alst. “We have set goals for ourselves this season and I believe we are aligning ourselves with the right people who can allow us to not only continue to turn heads at Kansas but throughout the 2021 season.”

In addition to CB Fabricating, Top Choice Fence, Norton Transport, KRJ Race Products and Lintz Creative will serve as associate marketing partners for Van Alst’s sixth career ARCA start.

Additional specifics on Greg Van Alst Motorsports’ 2021 ARCA Menards Series program are forthcoming, including a detailed series schedule.

“This is my first time every going to a 1.5-mile racetrack. ‘ve been doing a lot of iRacing on Kansas with Scott speed and just trying to understand more about that style of racing and holding momentum through the corner. I feel like even though Talladega wasn’t the best finish it definitely was a momentum builder. We definitely were in a place to compete for the win at the end, but our line didn’t go how I needed it to. We’ll take the momentum from last week and see what we have when we unload Saturday.”

Launched by award-winning beauty blogger turned business mogul Huda Kattan in 2013, Huda Beauty is one of the world’s fastest-growing beauty brands.

Beginning as a blog in 2010, Huda Beauty has fast become the No. 1 Beauty Instagram account in the world with over 48 million followers and is currently ranked the 66th most-followed account on Instagram.

Huda launched Huda Beauty into Sephora in the Dubai Mall in 2013 with a collection of false eyelashes and has since expanded the range to include a vast array of lip, eye and cheek products.

The brand has since had several record-breaking launches globally, with products now available worldwide at retailers including ShopHudaBeauty.com, Sephora, Sephora in JC Penney, Harrods, Selfridges and Cult Beauty.

Huda Beauty also continues to expand across Europe, Asia and the United States where the brand is regularly ranked number one against competitors.

Daytona International Speedway Recap: In her superspeedway debut, Breidinger qualified her No. 02 Roman Empire Chevrolet SS 31st and cleverly kept pace with the lead draft throughout the race and earned a respectable 18th place finish in just her fourth ARCA Menards Series race.

Breidinger was also the highest finishing female competitor in the 2021 ARCA Menards Series opener besting fellow drivers Gracie Trotter (23rd) and Brittany Zamora (34th).

Media Frenzy: Women’s History Month may be over, but Breidinger continues to attract the attention of publications and news outlets throughout the country.
