  • Flying Lizard Motorsports Secures Memorable Double-Podium Weekend at Road America

Flying Lizard Motorsports Secures Memorable Double-Podium Weekend at Road America

ELKHART LAKE, Wis., (August 19, 2024) – Flying Lizard Motorsports experienced a weekend full of ups and downs during the SRO America races at Road America. Still, the team’s perseverance paid off, resulting in two additional podiums across their four programs.

“Although we had some big challenges this weekend, we came out of Road America with podium finishes in GT4 for both our Nissan and Aston Martin programs,” said Program Manager Darren Law. We also had a very strong showing for the new BMW GT3 with extremely competitive lap times as well as a chance at a podium finish. We look to carry the momentum into the next race weekend.”

Todd Parriott’s season finally reached a milestone with his first podium finish in GT America on Saturday. Driving the No. 31 Aston Martin Vantage GT4 in mixed conditions, Parriott skillfully navigated from his fourth-place starting position to secure third place, celebrating his well-deserved, career-first SRO America podium. In race two, he started from fifth and climbed as high as third before finishing fourth, earning another top-five result.

Damir Hot and Andy Lee experienced the highs and lows of motorsport in just a few hours following a crash during GT4 America qualifying in the Nissan Z GT4. Despite the heavy damage, the Lizard crew worked quickly and efficiently, getting the car ready just in time for the race one grid, avoiding any penalties. Fueled by adrenaline, Hot and Lee executed a remarkable comeback, gaining 12 positions to finish in second place. They continued their impressive performance in race two, climbing 17 positions to finish seventh overall after starting 23rd. This back-to-back performance earned them the Hard Charger award for most positions gained in both races.

Due to feeling under the weather, Jason Bell was unable to compete in Sunday’s race two, ending what had been a disappointing weekend for the No. 2 Aston Martin Vantage GT3 driver in the Fanatec GT World Challenge. Bell had been racing in the rain for a top-five result in race one when the Aston spun in the rain and accelerated on the wet grass, ending the race early for Bell. Though the car was ready to compete Sunday morning, Bell retired early, not feeling well enough to finish the weekend.

Elias Sabo and Andy Lee enjoyed a strong debut weekend in the GT World Challenge with their newly acquired BMW M4 GT3. Despite limited track time, the duo showed strong and consistent speed, improving their understanding of the car with each lap. With a strong run from the seventh place starting position in race two, Lee worked his way up to third position in the Pro-Am class, and with a well-executed pit stop, Sabo maintained this position for the majority of his stint. Their efforts culminated in their first top-five finish of the season after finishing in fifth place.

With only two race weekends remaining in the SRO America 2024 championships, the series will head to Barber Motorsports Park in Birmingham, Alabama, from September 6-8, for a long-awaited return. For event information, visit www.gt-world-challenge-america.com.

  • GMG Racing Secures GT America Race Win and Fanatec GT World Challenge Pro-Am P2 Finish at Road America

GMG Racing Secures GT America Race Win and Fanatec GT World Challenge Pro-Am P2 Finish at Road America

    • Jame Sofronas Celebrates Professional Racing Debut 30 Years Ago at Road America with First GT America Powered by AWS Race Win of the Season Sunday in the No. 14 GMG Racing Audi R8 LMS GT3 EVO2
    • Kyle Washington and Tom Sargent Charge to a Second-Place Pro-Am Fanatec GT World Challenge Powered by AWS Finish Saturday in the No. 32 GMG Racing Porsche 911 GT3 R

ELKHART LAKE, Wisconsin (August 19, 2024) – GMG Racing secured a Sunday GT America powered by AWS race win with team Founder and Principal James Sofronas and a P2 Pro-Am class podium in Saturday’s Fanatec GT World Challenge America powered by AWS race with co-drivers Kyle Washington and Tom Sargent in a competitive SRO America championships weekend at Road America.

Sofronas, who began his professional driving career 30 years ago at Road America, drove his No. 14 GMG Racing Audi R8 LMS GT3 EVO2 to an emotional flag-to-flag win from the pole Sunday. The victory was the final step of successful comeback after Sofronas was sidelined for several months after a testing incident in the Audi at the SRO Road America event in 2023.

“This is where I wanted to race from day one in World Challenge,” Sofronas said. “When an opportunity came up in 1994, I took my entire savings out – $1,800 bucks – and rented a factory-supported car from an Oldsmobile team, a touring car that was actually a pretty stout piece. I was hooked, Road America is the best track in North America by far, and for me it was just the beginning of a journey that I didn’t know would take me to where I am today. The team we have right now is firing on all cylinders. That’s what I am the most proud of.”

Washington and Sargent began the weekend’s solid results Saturday with their second podium appearance in the No. 32 GMG Racing Porsche 911 GT3 R in the last three GT World Challenge races after their first series victory last month at VIRginia International Raceway (VIR). The No. 32 team rebounded from a pit stop less than 10 minutes into the race for a swap to slicks from rain tires after a pre-race rain shower subsided. Washington kept the pressure on despite falling a lap down and handed off right at the race’s 50-minute mark to Sargent, who immediately went to work in his race-closing stint.

“Tom drove amazing,” Washington said. “His drive at the end was incredible, we had a yellow flag that was very timely, and he took advantage of that and drove like an absolute star in the fight to the finish. He put it in overdrive and just rocked it.”

A typically strong pit stop by the GMG Racing crew, and the well-timed yellow flag with 12 minutes to go, not only put Sargent in a position to get the No. 32 back on the lead lap, but to also to battle for the class win in the race’s closing minutes.

“The key to race was getting past the overall leader right as the safety car came out, and that gave me the ability to unlap ourselves,” Sargent said. “I caught up to the pack and was at the back of the train for the restart. We caught the field right as we were going green, and from then on it was just a dog fight to the finish. The car was amazing all race.”

Sargent was fourth in Pro-Am and eighth overall when race was restarted with just over five minutes to go. He defended the position through the race’s penultimate lap and quickly pounced when a Pro-Am class competitor up front slid off course in Turn 1. The field bunched up to avoid the off-course car, but Sargent maintained his momentum to move from fourth to second in the span of just a few corners. He took the white flag second in Pro-Am and fifth overall and held the positions to the finish.

“We were a little conservative on the tire choice at the beginning but we wanted to give Kyle a good car for the start and let him charge,” Sofronas said. “We pitted under green to change tires and Kye was consistent, kept pushing, and then we let Tom do what he does after the pit stops. Everything unfolded with just three minutes to go. Tom is coming into his own. He is showing he is a front runner in a Porsche and in this series.

Sunday’s convincing GT America victory was remarkably the sixth race win for Sofronas since his Road America incident last year. His five other victories have come in IMSA Carrera Cup competition, including his most recent win in that series two weeks ago at Road America. This weekend’s event completed Road America’s annual August stretch of races – IMSA, Porsche Sprint Challenge and SRO – and GMG Racing was one of the few teams to compete on all three race weekends.

Even more notable was that Sofronas was the only driver, of the more than 50 race winners across all series competing at Road America this month, to score multiple race wins at “America’s Park of Speed” on different race weekends.

The Sunday victory was the first for Sofronas in SRO America competition since winning at Road America in an Audi in 2021, the third of his three GT America wins that season.

Next up for GMG Racing in SRO America is the event weekend at Barber Motorsports Park in Alabama, September 6 – 8.

  • Mazda MX-5 Cup Championship Closer Than Ever Entering VIR Rounds

Mazda MX-5 Cup Championship Closer Than Ever Entering VIR Rounds

DANVILLE, Va. (Aug. 19, 2024) – With only four races left on the 2024 Whelen Mazda MX-5 Cup presented by Michelin schedule, things are about to take a turn for the dramatic. The top eight drivers in the standings are covered by less than 600 points, which is a small margin considering one can score a maximum of 380 points per race. Seasons past have shown that VIRginia International Raceway can make or break a driver’s championship dreams.

Leading the field coming into Rounds 11 and 12 is Aaron Jeansonne (No. 24 JTR Motorsports Engineering). He is one of the drivers that saw his chances at a championship dissolve at VIR last year because of a mechanical issue in Race 1. While Jeansonne hasn’t been a podium fixture this season, he has been a consistent race finisher.

“At this point in the championship I think it’s more important than ever to put it (playing it safe) out of my mind,” Jeansonne said. “We’ve collected solid points all year, and leading the points going into the final four events is what we have worked for all season. Now, it’s time to go head to head with the top MX-5 drivers in the world, try to win races and secure the championship.”

Gresham Wagner (No. 5 McCumbee McAleer Racing) is another driver who last year saw his hopes for a title fade at VIR. A mechanical issue forced him to pit in Race 1, giving him his worst finish of the season, then a last lap incident in Race 2 took him from first to 10th, nearly doubling his deficit to the championship leader.

A native of Williamsburg, Virginia, Wagner has reached the podium at VIR but has yet to score a MX-5 Cup win at his home track.

VIR was where Jared Thomas (No. 96 JTR Motorsports Engineering) solidified his point lead last year en route to his second Mazda MX-5 Cup Championship.

Thomas goes from coast to coast this week, arriving at VIR from California fresh off taking part in the Rolex Monterey Motorsports Reunion. Thomas was invited by Mazda to drive a 1991 Mazda RX-7 GTO from the Mazda Heritage Collection.

“I was super excited when Mazda invited me to drive a car from the Heritage Collection at the Rolex Reunion,” Thomas said. “To get the opportunity to drive one of them—I was blown out of the water. I guess these are the perks of being a two-time MX-5 Cup champion! Hopefully there will be more opportunities down the road to drive these cars again.”

Nate Cicero (No. 83 McCumbee McAleer Racing) is feeling good coming into VIR. He is only 30 points out of the championship lead and returns to the site of his first-ever Mazda MX-5 Cup win.

In contrast, his MMR teammate Jeremy Fletcher (No. 22 McCumbee McAleer Racing) arrives in Virginia still in search of his first MX-5 Cup race win. Fletcher has been on the podium multiple times, but not the top step. He even crossed the finish line first in Race 2 at Canadian Tire Motorsport Park, but a 10-second penalty for incident responsibility knocked him back to 15th. He is currently fourth in the championship points.

With an $80,000 check from Mazda going to the driver who claims the spot, there are currently three rookies sitting in the top ten in points. Westin Workman (No. 13 BSI Racing) leads the way, sixth in the championship with two race wins to his credit (Sebring and Canadian Tire Motorsport Park). Nathan Nicholson (No. 56 Advanced Autosports) trails him by 220 points and Julian DaCosta (No. 78 JTR Motorsports Engineering), fresh off of his first MX-5 Cup podium is tenth in the championship.

Will the standings get a shakeup at VIR or will a clear leader emerge? Watch the livestream on the RACER YouTube channel or IMSA.tv, Saturday, August 24, at 6:05pm ET for Race 1 and Sunday, August 25, at 9:45am ET for Race 2.

Many MX-5 Cup teams and drivers won’t be done when the checkered flag falls on Sunday. That’s because they head to Martinsville Speedway for an open test. The test is to prepare for the recently announced exhibition race there, October 26, with the Whelen Modified Series. Martinsville is a one-hour drive from VIR. There will be no livestream or live timing available for this test.

About: The Whelen Mazda MX-5 Cup presented by Michelin is the signature spec series for Mazda Motorsports. The series has been operated by Andersen Promotions since 2017 and is currently sanctioned by IMSA. Mazda-powered grassroots champions can earn Mazda scholarships for this pro-level series. The Whelen Mazda MX-5 Cup awards more than $1 million in prizes and scholarships.

  • CORVETTE RACING AT ROAD AMERICA: What a Weekend!

CORVETTE RACING AT ROAD AMERICA: What a Weekend!

DXDT records first 1-2 finish, takes Pro and Pro-Am wins with Corvette Z06 GT3.R

ELKHART LAKE, Wis. (August 18, 2024) – DXDT Racing recorded more landmark results in its first season with the Chevrolet Corvette Z06 GT3.R by sweeping the GT World Challenge America weekend at Road America and posting victories in multiple classes for the first time.

Tommy Milner and Alec Udell won their fifth race in a row Saturday and added their sixth straight Sunday in the No. 63 Corvette Z06 GT3.R. It’s the third straight weekend sweep in the Pro class for the first-year duo. More notably, they led a team 1-2 overall finish Sunday as the No. 08 Corvette of Bryan Sellers and Bryson Morris won the Pro-Am category in their first race as a pairing.

The results give the first-year Z06 GT3.R eight race victories since debuting in January and a 1-2 finish for the second time – the first coming via Corvette Racing by Pratt Miller Motorsports in the IMSA WeatherTech SportsCar Championship.

The strategy from both the 63 and 08 teams was spot-on Sunday. Milner started on the class pole and drove the first 40 minutes in a six-car train of traffic. He handed off to Udell in hopes of getting clean air and clear track, which worked perfectly as he made the eventual winning pass with 40 minutes left and the three lead Pro-Am cars coming out of pitlane.

Udell pounced from second place and into the lead at the first turn, which also allowed Morris to make his challenge for the class lead and second overall. By the time both Corvettes emerged from Turn Five a few seconds later, Udell and Morris ran 1-2 and stayed that way to the end.

It was a nice redemption for the No. 08 Corvette, which was collected by a spinning car in Saturday’s opening race of the weekend. In that contest, Udell started from pole with Milner having to hold off the field on a restart with five minutes to go. He had led by as much as 19 seconds before the late full-course yellow.

DXDT Racing’s next event in GT World Challenge America is Sept. 6-8 at Barber Motorsports Park near Birmingham, Ala.

    DXDT RACING CORVETTE POST-EVENT QUOTES

TOMMY MILNER, NO. 63 CHEVROLET CORVETTE Z06 GT3.R: “All in all, it was a great weekend with two wins again and six in a row. That’s pretty special. On the surface it seems easy, but it’s not! There are so many things that can go wrong. I can’t tell you how many times in my career where we’ve had cars that should have won races but didn’t because something went wrong. I’m super-proud to be part of Corvette Racing and with DXDT Racing. They’ve over the last couple of years made a huge effort to improve every aspect of their program. It’s great to have results that show all the hard work that a lot of people have put in to making this a great team. I’m proud and happy to be part of it.”

ALEC UDELL, NO. 63 CHEVROLET CORVETTE Z06 GT3.R: “The crew did a great job with the car. There was limited dry running time this week with all the weather that was moving through. I’m happy to be here, and the Corvette performed beautifully here at Road America. I’m really happy with the platform. Tommy had a great first stint and maybe got caught in some traffic and dirty air. We had a little bit of a battle with the Porsche in the opening laps of our stint. There was a little bit of a traffic jam with some Pro-Am cars, and I was able to take advantage of that and run clean to the finish. I’m really happy for Bryan and Bryson as well. It’s great to see that car up front. I’m happy for the team and for a great team effort.”

BRYAN SELLERS, NO. 08 CHEVROLET CORVETTE Z06 GT3.R: “Bryson did a great job for us. It for sure was a difficult situation for him. He got the call just a few days before the race. He was eager to get here with us. We ran him in a test about a week ago, and he was fantastic. He’s a great kid and listens really well. We were really impressed with his ability to come in and fit in seamlessly. When it came to this race, he was an easy choice.

“I had a really good in-lap and he had a fantastic out-lap. We talked before the race in the strategy meeting that it would be the difference-maker between him and some of the other drivers because we knew it would be tough to race them. The 29 BMW stopped a lap ahead of us, which I think went in our favor because it gave us another opportunity for a flier. We were able to jump them in the pits and come out right with the leaders and made a great move to get the lead.”

BRYSON MORRIS, NO. 08 CHEVROLET CORVETTE Z06 GT3.R: “It was a pretty difficult stint but lucky Bryan did a great job to help me get into the lead. I just had to pass one car on the out-lap to get the lead and was able to hold it from there. Thanks to everyone at DXDT Racing. I couldn’t have done it without them. I was getting the gaps to second place from the team and it was coming down a little bit, but we were able to take the win. I’m really excited.”

CHRISTIE BAGNE, CORVETTE Z06 GT3.R PROGRAM MANAGER: “Congratulations to DXDT Racing on today’s 1-2 finish at Road America and victories in both GT World Challenge America Pro and Pro-Am classes. The team continues to show the potential of the Corvette Z06 GT3.R in the hands of customer teams. The strategy and execution on both Corvettes was perfect today and led to this landmark result.”

  • PT Autosport set to tackle Road America

PT Autosport set to tackle Road America

A new number and a new ride for Henry Drury in this weekend’s doubleheader at Road America

MILLVILLE, NJ (August 15, 2024) – Precision Racing LA w/PT Autosport and Henry Drury head back to Road America this weekend, with Drury moving behind the wheel of the SEGRA-sponsored No. 44 GR86 for the Toyota GR Cup doubleheader, part of the SRO Motorsports America event.

The weekend will be a single-car effort for Precision Racing LA w/PT Autosport, which moves the 24-year-old English born, Tampa, Fla. resident into the blue SEGRA livery. The weekend marks the first Toyota GR Cup event at a track Drury has raced at before, having driven a Spec Boxster in a Porsche Club of America event in his last race of the 2023 season – and missing out on his first victory by the slimmest of margins. But despite everything Road America and the surrounding area has to offer, when the 24-year-old English born, Tampa, Fla. resident thinks about Road America, he thinks about…

“Cheese,” said Drury. “Completely serious response. I mean, one of the billboards has a cheese company on it (Sargento, based in nearby Plymouth)! And, of course, it’s a pretty awesome track, one of the “big boy” tracks – the kind of place you grow up wanting to race at, like Watkins Glen or Indianapolis. It was only my third race ever in 2023 so I’m looking forward to going back with the knowledge I have now, to see what The Kink is like in a Toyota GR86. Last year, Alex (Sedgwick, Porsche Carrera Cup driver and Drury’s driver coach) said that Road America was ‘always fast, sometimes scary’ but I think it might always be scary!”

Every racer looks forward to a Road America weekend, and PT Autosport team principal Jason Myers is no exception.

“We’re excited to be back in Elkhart Lake for the second time in three weeks!” said Myers. “It’s such a historic track, beautiful area, and the most amazing fans. It was packed for the IMSA weekend and I’m hoping the same for SRO.

“Henry had a great drive at VIR and was running P6 in the first race until an unfortunate clutch failure. I think that him and Alex running together was a great learning experience for Henry, and I think Alex had fun as well – and it’s always good to have race seat time! PRLA has been delivering us a consistent quality car all season and we look forward to tackling Road America in our GR86, and to see how Henry does here now that he has a good deal more experience under his belt compared to last year.”

The Toyota GR Cup series will contest two 45-minute races at Road America – race one will take the green flag Saturday at 2:55 p.m. ET, with race two Sunday at 1:15 p.m. Both races will be broadcast live at www.grcup.com.

TPC Racing Scores P2 Podium Finish with Chambers and Season-Best Race Results with Kerr in Road America Porsche Sprint Challenge Cayman

    • Chloe Chambers Finishes Second Sunday in the No. 77 Monoflo International Cayman GT4 RS Clubsport for Her Third Top-Two pro-Am Result in Four 2024 Races
    • Tom Kerr Secures Season-Best Masters Class Finishes Topped by Seventh in Class and 11th Overall Sunday in the No. 74 TPC Racing Cayman GT4 RS Clubsport

ELKHART LAKE, Wisconsin (August 13, 2024) – TPC Racing scored a Pro-Am-class second-place finish with Chloe Chambers in the No. 77 Monoflo International Cayman GT4 RS Clubsport and a pair of season-best results for Masters Class competitor Tom Kerr in his No. 74 TPC Racing Cayman GT4 RS Clubsport this weekend in USAC Porsche Sprint Challenge North America Cayman competition at Road America.

Making her second return appearance this year after helping TPC Racing win the 2023 Cayman Class Sprint Challenge Team Championship, Chambers rebounded from a rare off-podium result in Saturday’s opening 35-minute race for the fast P2 run on Sunday. Chambers started on the outside front row and after momentarily dropping to second on the opening race lap, regained the position and quickly took the fight to the race leader.

Chambers set the fastest lap of the race on the fourth circuit. She was closing on the leader, but a yellow flag with 10 minutes to go, and a second caution late in the race that resulted in the field finishing under dual checkered and yellow flags, never let her complete a charge to the front.

In the pair of guest appearances with TPC Racing this season, Chambers secured the P2 and P4 finishes at Road America and a double-win sweep last April at Barber Motorsports Park.

In just his fourth race weekend in his new Cayman GT4 RS, Kerr broke through for a pair of season-best Masters class finishes. After recording a single top-10 finish in his first six races this season, Kerr showed a sign of things to come on Saturday with a ninth-place result in the stacked Masters class.

Kerr quickly built on Saturday’s result and improved to a season-best seventh overall on Sunday while recording a solid 11th place overall result. Prior to finishing 15th overall on Saturday and the P11 on Sunday at Road America, Kerr’s overall results in the year’s first sixth races were between 17th and 19th.

The Porsche Sprint Challenge weekend was the first event of two-in-a-row for TPC Racing at Road America. This weekend on the 4-mile Wisconsin road course, TPC debuts a new McLaren Artura GT4 in SRO GT America powered by AWS competition. The TPC Racing with Dream Racing No. 102 McLaren Artura GT4 and driver Alan Grossberg will make the first race starts of the season in the new car in this weekend’s twin 40-minute GT America sprints.

Harris Levitas, TPC Racing Director of Race Operations: “It was a really great weekend. We started off and things were a bit hectic, but we were able to chase a few problems early on in the week. We learned a lot in the two test days heading into the weekend, and it really showed for Tom Kerr. Big congratulations to Tom, we are thrilled for him and his performance for his best race finishes to date in the Masters Class in this new Cayman Clubsport RS GT4. And huge congratulations to Chloe for really putting on a good fight Sunday and scoring second place. It was a good first weekend at Road America, we had a podium finish with Monoflo International, which is always great, and we are looking forward to getting started in our new venture with the McLaren Artura GT4 next week with Alan Grossman and our partners at Dream Racing.”

Chloe Chambers, Driver, No. 77 Monoflo International Cayman GT4 RS Clubsport: “I think that I would’ve had more of a chance to make a move for the lead on Sunday if we hadn’t had that first caution. It’s a little unknown though because it’s pretty difficult to pass in these cars since the draft doesn’t have quite as big of an effect. A bit of a development weekend since this was a new car since Watkins Glen. I’m proud of the work the team put in through all of it and the determination of everyone to get the car the best we could. By race two, we got the car to a spot that I was able to finish in second place, which I’m happy with considering what we overcame.”

Tom Kerr, Driver, No. 74 TPC Racing Cayman GT4 RS Clubsport: “It was really a combination of things. Number one, we have a great car after having some trouble with it earlier in the year. Two, I have a great coach with Mike Skeen, who helps me tremendously, and three, the TPC Racing team helps me a lot. Between Harris and the crew that I have with my Crew Chief Trevor Griffin, everybody did everything great. So, it was really a series of fortunate events for me. Road America is one of my favorite tracks, and I love being there, but it’s quasi-dangerous. The last time I was there before this weekend two years ago, and I totaled my Lamborghini and broke my back. So, I had a little bit of PTSD from the last time I was there and I started off a little more skittish than I would have been. I just did Watkins Glen with TPC in the Cayman, and back-to-back races helps me the most. I don’t get much seat time because I work so much, so it’s a rarity to get this much time behind the wheel. That, along with the car, the coaching and the team all kind of came together.”

Elias Sabo Makes Mid-Season Manufacturer Change to BMW M3

PHOENIX, Ariz., (August 12, 2024) — Following a challenging season in the Fanatec GT World Challenge America powered by AWS sports car racing championship and discontent with results, Elias Sabo will change manufacturers from racing his Aston Martin Vantage GT3 to the BMW M4 GT3 for the remainder of the 2024 race season.

“The beginning of the 2024 season has presented several unforeseen challenges,” said Sabo. “Despite our best efforts, certain circumstances beyond our control arose, which has led to my decision. For my personal development as a driver and to enhance the overall racing experience, I have decided that a change is necessary. I have long admired BMW for their exceptional products and their competitiveness on the global stage. I am enthusiastic about embarking on this new partnership and excited about the opportunities it holds for the future.”

This mid-season manufacturer swap makes every second critical as the team prepares for the remaining races of the 2024 race season. The BMW arrived last week at the team’s Phoenix-based shop at Apex Motor Club in Phoenix, Arizona, and the team immediately began preparing for a shakedown and on-track test.

“This transition marks a significant change for our program within a brief period,” stated Program Manager Darren Law. “Switching manufacturers mid-season is a complex task due to the numerous factors involved. While it is regrettable that Elias and Andy will not continue with the current platform, we are eager to embark on this new chapter with BMW. Their collaboration has been invaluable in facilitating this transition, and their vehicles demonstrate remarkable performance. We are enthusiastic about beginning and fostering a strong relationship with them.”

The Flying Lizard BMW M4 GT3 will make its debut at Road America on the weekend of August 16 to 18 in rounds nine and 10 of the Fanatec GT World Challenge America powered by AWS.

“BMW M Motorsport is delighted to welcome Flying Lizard Motorsports to the BMW family,” said Adam McGregor, BMW NA Motorsport & Customer Racing Manager. “Well known to us as champions and fierce competitors, we look forward to seeing them line up in SRO competition this year with the BMW M4 GT3. BMW of North America’s Customer Racing program continues to go from strength to strength and it is very exciting that the Lizards will make the BMW M Sports Trophy a little tougher to win.”

On behalf of Sabo, Flying Lizard will sell the pair of Aston Martin Vantage GT3 race cars, and interested parties can contact the team directly.
