  • Kaz Grala To Complete No. 02 Chevrolet Lineup For Young’s Motorsports in 2022

Kaz Grala To Complete No. 02 Chevrolet Lineup For Young’s Motorsports in 2022

MOORESVILLE, N.C.: Young’s Motorsports confirmed today that NASCAR Camping World Truck Series winner, Kaz Grala, will return to the organization this season and drive the No. 02 Young’s Motorsports Chevrolet Silverado in 11 races beginning at Las Vegas (Nev.) Motor Speedway on March 4, 2022.

Grala, 23, is on track to be one of the busiest drivers in NASCAR this season, will split the flagship driving duties for the Mooresville, N.C.-based team with previously announced driver Jesse Little.

In addition to Las Vegas, Grala will compete at Circuit of the Americas (Texas), the Bristol (Tenn.) Motor Speedway Dirt race, World Wide Technology Raceway at Gateway (Ill.), Sonoma (Calif.) Raceway, Knoxville (Iowa) Raceway, Mid-Ohio Sports Car Course, Pocono (Pa.) Raceway, Richmond (Va.) Raceway, Talladega (Ala.) Superspeedway and Homestead-Miami (Fla.) Speedway.

Grala, a native of Boston, Mass., competed in three Truck Series races for Young’s Motorsports last season, delivering an average finish of 7.3 with his one top-five, two top-10’s, and three top-12’s. Grala battled for the lead all race long in the inaugural event at Circuit of the Americas in Austin, Texas and brought the No. 02 Young’s Building Systems | Randco. Chevrolet Silverado home second after leading the first 11 laps.

“I’m so grateful to be returning to Young’s Motorsports with an even busier schedule for 2022,” said Grala. I will be racing at some of my favorite tracks throughout the season and will have even more chances to prove myself than I’ve had in years, starting at Las Vegas.”

It’s been a busy week for Grala. In addition to returning to Young’s Motorsports, Grala was recently named the driver of the No. 50 Pit Viper Chevrolet Camaro ZL1 1LE for The Money Team Racing (TMTR), a brand-new NASCAR Cup Series team owned by five-division world champion and Boxing Hall of Famer Floyd “Money” Mayweather, which will vie for one of the 40 starting spots in this year’s Daytona 500 on February 20.

“Even though it was just a few races last year, Young’s Motorsports was one of the best teams to work with that I’ve ever been a part of, and I feel like our results reflected that. I can’t thank Tyler (Young, team principal) and the Young family enough for believing in me. I don’t plan to let them down!”

In his 36 Truck Series starts, Grala has achieved one win, one pole, six top-five and 17 top-10 finishes. In just his 10th Truck Series start, he pulled off an upset victory in the season-opening race at Daytona (Fla.) International Speedway, propelling the youngest winner in NASCAR history at the 2.5-mile superspeedway into the Truck Series Playoffs.

For Tyler Young, the pairing of two veteran and talented drivers like Grala and Little offers the opportunity for Young’s Motorsports to continue their winning ways in the 23-race schedule which kicks off at Daytona (Fla.) International Speedway on Feb. 18, 2022.

“We are beyond stoked to welcome back Kaz Grala to Young’s Motorsports this season,” said Young. “Even with his limited starts and track time with our team last year, he was able to climb into the truck and make the most of each opportunity, nearly putting us in Victory Lane at Circuit of the Americas.

“With an opportunity to increase his schedule this year and pair him with a talented driver like Jesse Little, I feel like everyone involved will have a chance to shine.”

Mooresville, NC (January 27, 2022) – Spencer Boyd announces his continued partnership with HairClub®. This marks the third season between HairClub and the NASCAR Camping World Truck Series Driver. New hallmarks for the third season will include new paint schemes and ‘Hair Wars III’ at World Wide Technology Park.

GMS Racing Announces 2022 NCWTS Crew Chief Pairings for Grant Enfinger and Jack Wood

Statesville, NC – GMS Racing is proud to announce its NASCAR Camping World Truck Series crew chief pairings ahead of the upcoming season. The two-time championship winning team plans to run two full-time entries in 2022, with the No. 23 driven by veteran Grant Enfinger and the No. 24 driven by Sunoco Rookie of the Year contender Jack Wood.

Grant Enfinger’s No. 23 Champion Power Equipment Chevrolet Silverado will be led by Charles Denike, who has two NCWTS victories under his belt. Charles spent nearly ten years in the US ARMY as an engineer before making the decision to chase after a career in motorsports. Denike has been a key part of the team since 2016, and most recently called the shots for Tyler Ankrum during the 2021 season. Notably, both of his wins as a crew chief have been delivered by drivers in GMS Racing Silverados at Charlotte Motor Speedway (Chase Elliott) and Bristol Motor Speedway (Sam Mayer).

“The 2022 race season is a great opportunity for Grant and I, and we both plan to make the most of it. We have assembled a new team and the energy is high. We have the common goal to return to victory lane and contend for the championship at Phoenix Raceway at the end of the season. With the great support from Champion Power Equipment behind our team, I feel that we are more ready than ever to chase after our goals.” said Denike.

Jack Wood’s No. 24 Chevrolet Silverado will be led by veteran NASCAR crew member and longtime GMS employee, Tom Ackerman. Ackerman has played an integral role within the GMS Racing campus, most recently serving as the team’s Technical Director. As a crew chief, Tom has called the shots for numerous NASCAR Cup Series and NASCAR Camping World Truck Series veterans over the years.

“This year is going to be one of the most crucial years of Jack Wood’s young career. I am excited to work with him in his first full season, and am especially looking forward to returning to some of the tracks that he raced at for our team last year. Jack is young and hungry, and it is going to be a fun opportunity to see what he is capable of with the additional track time in practice and qualifying sessions. I believe that we have a shot to contend for some solid finishes throughout the season.” remarked Ackerman.

Denike and Ackerman will work alongside fellow GMS Racing crew chief Chad Bryant (ARCA Menards Series No. 43 Chevrolet SS driven by Daniel Dye) along with Petty GMS Motorsports crew chiefs Jerame Donley (NASCAR Cup Series No. 42 Chevrolet Camaro ZL1 driven by Ty Dillon) and Dave Elenz (NASCAR Cup Series No. 43 Chevrolet Camaro ZL1 driven by Erik Jones) and as the powerhouse team continues to build its legacy across the NASCAR garages.

Spencer Boyd Adds New Primary Sponsor, Derm Dude™, for 2022 Season

Mooresville, NC (January 20, 2022) – Derm Dude™, the disruptive men’s grooming brand redefining the marketplace for all things ‘Beard, Body, and Tattoo’ will be joining Spencer Boyd’s sponsor lineup in 2022 as a primary sponsor for several races. The No. 12 Chevrolet Silverado of Young’s Motorsports will first boast Derm Dude’s brand on the hood when the NASCAR Camping World Truck Series travels to Circuit of the Americas in Austin, TX.

Derm Dude is a disruptor in the men’s grooming industry. With a strong focus on all things beard, body, and tattoo, Derm Dude is committed to developing products with power-packed performance ingredients that deliver mega results every time. Derm Dude’s hard-to-miss marketing and communication style is refreshing, irreverent, and downright hysterical.

“We’ve got some awesome things planned with this partnership,” commented Boyd. “I’ve already got the beard. I’m always working out my body. So, the last piece of the puzzle is a tattoo. That’s right, I’m getting a tattoo of a NASCAR win sticker to commemorate my first win and Derm Dude is going to be there documenting it. Add to that a killer paint scheme at some amazing race tracks and we’ve got the formula for a really fun season with Derm Dude.”

Derm Dude will be an associate sponsor at 7 races to add to their 3 primary races in 2022. A special weekend is planned for the Memorial Day festivities at Charlotte Motor Speedway including a special commemorative paint scheme.

“Derm Dude, ‘Hit the jackpot’ teaming up with Spencer Boyd,” according to Derm Dude ‘Chief Dude Officer’ Drew Plotkin. “Everything about Spencer and the NASCAR Truck Series speaks to the heart and soul of the Derm Dude brand. We’re not your typical corporate sponsors from Wall Street. The streets where we feel most at home are Route 66, The Badlands, and Pacific Coast Highway. Initially, we developed Derm Dude to make our own tattoos look newer and brighter and our beards fuller and softer. Now, Derm Dude has over 30 products and counting, including our scented line of 3-in-1 PowerWash, all-natural bar soaps, hair care and just about every part of the Dude Body imaginable.”

Spencer’s tattoo will be a part of the series ‘Think, Ink, Drink’ later this year. Plotkin added, “Spencer works harder than any other driver out there and that’s why he’s the perfect partner for our brand, because our products do the same.”

  • RimTyme Will Anchor Sponsorship Lineup for Spencer Boyd in 2022

RimTyme Will Anchor Sponsorship Lineup for Spencer Boyd in 2022

Mooresville, NC (January 12, 2022) – Spencer Boyd announced today that RimTyme Custom Wheels & Tires, the company with the largest wheel and tire inventory in the industry, will be the anchor to his sponsorship platform in 2022. RimTyme is slated to be the primary sponsor of the Young’s Motorsports No. 12 Chevrolet Silverado for seven races in the NASCAR Camping World Truck Series and an associate sponsor for the remainder of the season.

“RimTyme has stepped up in a big way with this partnership,” said Boyd. “They saw some great growth in many of their stores following the Roval race we did together last year so they want to expand their reach. We even overlayed a map of their stores with NASCAR tracks which shows RimTyme is in racing’s backyard. I’m personally grateful for the opportunity to represent this company and all the employees they have working as my extended pit crew.”

RimTyme Custom Wheels and Tires carries more custom rims than the traditional wheel shop. They have a large selection of name brand custom wheels available in the latest styles, finishes, colors, and sizes. In addition to a variety of wheel brands, RimTyme carries popular tire brands for everyday driving needs at affordable prices to fit any budget.

“We’re excited,” exclaimed Brock Roberts of RimTyme. “This partnership with Spencer is coming at a pivotal point as we expand our RimTyme footprint. We are continually adding stores brand-wide, now with 37 locations that have experts to help guide NASCAR fans to the right wheel and tire package for their vehicles. We’ll also be launching a new promotion that when Spencer finishes 12th place or higher in a race, we will give customers $212 off a new rim and tire package at select locations. We can’t wait for Daytona!”

As part of the partnership there will be several chances to meet Spencer and see the RimTyme truck up close this year. Kicking off the season, RimTyme will be set up across from Daytona International Speedway at a Sunoco station where Spencer will be signing autographs throughout the Daytona 500 weekend. The RimTyme No. 12 show truck will also be visiting several RimTyme stores throughout the year starting on April 2 at the new Conyers, GA location.

“It’s going to be a great year for the No. 12 team,” smiled Boyd. “We are going to build off of the nail-biting win last year at Talladega and come out of the gate strong at Daytona. I’m humbled to be given this opportunity by Tyler Young and will make the men and women on the 12 team proud.”

The first appearance for the No. 12 RimTyme Chevrolet Silverado will be the season opener at Daytona International Speedway on February 18, 2022. Find a RimTyme Custom Wheels and Tires location near you at www.rimtyme.com/locations.
