NASCAR Camping World Truck Series Overview:
    Event: United Rentals 200, Race 21 of 22, 200 Laps – 50/50/100; 105.2 Miles

    Neme’chek’ The Facts:

    • John Hunter Nemechek and the No. 4 Pye Barker Fire & Safety team head to Martinsville Superspeedway for the final race in the Round of 8 in the NASCAR Camping World Truck Series playoffs 36 points above the cutoff line for advancing to the Championship 4 at Phoenix (Ariz.) Raceway. With both race wins in the Round of 8 going to non-playoff drivers, all four spots in the championship will be decided in Saturday’s race. The 24-year-old driver has made 12 career Truck Series starts at “The Paperclip,” including his series debut as a 16-year-old in October of 2013. Nemechek was victorious in the spring Truck Series race in 2018 and overall has four top-five and five top-10 finishes resulting in an average finish of 14.3. In two Cup Series starts he produced an average finish of 25.5.
    • Nemechek rebounded from a disappointing 33rd-place finish when he experienced electrical issues at Las Vegas (Nev.) Motor Speedway in the opening race in the Round of 8 to finish fourth at Talladega (Ala.) Superspeedway in race two. After running in the top 10 most of the day at Talladega, Nemechek took the lead momentarily on the final lap before getting turned through the tri-oval and crossing the finish line sliding sideways in the fourth position.
    • Since the Truck Series was last in action at Talladega, Nemechek has made two starts in the Joe Gibbs Racing No. 54 Supra. He led a race-high 92 laps and overcame a pit road penalty with just over 50 laps remaining to pick up the second win of his NASCAR Xfinity Series career Oct. 16 at Texas Motor Speedway in Fort Worth.
    • The second-generation driver has put together a remarkable season thus far in his first season driving for Kyle Busch Motorsports (KBM). In addition to leading the circuit in race wins (five) and stage wins (11), he leads the Truck Series in top fives (12), fastest laps run (284), driver rating (114.5), average running position (6.961) and average finish (8.5). Nemechek registered his fifth Truck Series win of 2021 June 26 at Pocono Raceway in Long Pond, Pa. The talented wheelman has posted victories at Las Vegas (Nev.) Motor Speedway in March, Richmond (Va.) Raceway in April, Charlotte (N.C.) Motor Speedway in May and in June at Texas Motor Speedway in Fort Worth.
    • The Toyota Racing driver is competing in the Camping World Truck Series playoffs for the third time in his career. He finished eighth in the championship standings for his family-owned team, NEMCO Motorsports, in 2016 and 2017. Nemechek is an 11-time winner in Camping World Truck Series action, winning at least one race each season from 2015 to 2018 for his family-owned team, NEMCO Motorsports, and returning to victory lane this year with KBM.
    • Eric Phillips returned to KBM to lead the No. 4 team this season. Phillips led the No. 18 team at KBM in its debut season in 2010 and helped build the organization into one of the premier teams in all of NASCAR before departing at the end of the 2014 season. His 42 career Truck Series victories make him the winningest crew chief in Truck Series history, with 32 of those coming while at KBM. At Martinsville, Phillip’s drivers have collected one win, six top-five and 12 top-10 finishes resulting in an average finish of 13.0 across 20 starts. He called the shots for Denny Hamlin’s first career Truck Series victory in October of 2011.
    • Pye-Barker Fire & Safety, an industry leader in commercial fire protection since 1946, will adorn the hood of Nemechek’s Tundra this weekend at Martinsville and again for the season finale at Phoenix (Ariz.) Raceway (Nov. 5). Pye-Barker recently acquired Nemechek’s long-time supporter Fire Alarm Services.
    • As part of the second annual Honor a Cancer Hero Campaign which raised over $100,000 for the Martin Truex Jr. Foundation and The NASCAR Foundation, two organizations recognized as champions for the health and well-being of others, Nemechek’s No. 4 Toyota will carry the name of Karen Morgan over the driver door on Saturday. Morgan, a long-time NASCAR fan, was diagnosed with Grade 4 Glioblastoma in January of 2019 and succumbed to the disease in May of 2020. Karen’s husband posted the winning bid in an effort to help bring awareness and donate what he could to the terrible disease.
    • John Hunter Nemechek, Driver Q&A:
    • John Hunter Nemechek | Martinsville Speedway Preview
    • Do you remember what your favorite Halloween costume was as a kid? Do you have a costume picked out for Aspen’s first Halloween?
    • “I don’t know what my first or favorite Halloween costume was. I remember dressing up as a kid probably as a race car driver or something modeling after my dad. Aspen, we have a flamingo costume and working on a couple others. It might be a whole costume outfit change a few times on Halloween day.”

How will you approach Martinsville being 36 points above the cutoff line?
“Go try and run all the laps, maximize stage points, maximize our finish, not get caught up in a wreck and run our race. If we don’t beat ourselves and don’t have a mistake or a mechanical failure and don’t get taken out, I definitely think that we’ll be in a spot to advance. It’s definitely close with the 99 behind us, one point I think behind us, and then there is a couple others that are racing their way in and then quite a few that are in a must-win situation. I feel like it is definitely going to be a heated battle, there is going to be a lot of intensity and it’s knowing who to race, how to race them and when to race them to not put yourself in a bad spot.”

You made your first-ever Truck Series start at Martinsville and have a win there as well, how special of a place is it for you?
“I’ve really liked going to Martinsville. I think anywhere that you’ve made your debut has a special place in your career and being able to go back to Martinsville – I finished second there too many times and given up a few races there that we should’ve won and finally brought home a grandfather clock in 2018 – it’s definitely a special race track for me. It’s been a lot of fun being able to go there and race a unique race track with concrete corners and asphalt straightaways. It’s a place I look forward going to every single year.”

Corey Heim – No. 51 HYTE Tundra Camping World Trucks Martinsville Preview

Corey Heim: Driver, No. 51 HYTE Toyota

NASCAR Camping World Truck Series Overview:
    Event: United Rentals 200, Race 21 of 22, 200 Laps – 50/50/100; 105.2 Miles
Location: Martinsville (Va.) Speedway (0.526-mile oval)
    Date/Broadcast: Oct. 30, 2021, at 1 p.m. ET on FS1, MRN and SiriusXM NASCAR 90

    The Story on Corey:

    • Corey Heim will make the third start of his NASCAR Camping World Truck Series career behind the wheel of the No. 51 HYTE Tundra in Saturday’s Camping World Truck Series event at Martinsville. The 19-year-old driver was impressive in his NASCAR Camping World Truck Series debut at Darlington (S.C.) Raceway May 7 where he finished the opening stage eighth and by the end of the second stage had moved into the runner-up position behind his KBM teammate John Hunter Nemechek. With just under 30 laps remaining, he restarted on the front row next to Nemechek, but as the field exited the restart zone another competitor tapped the bumper of the JBL Tundra sending Heim into Nemechek and a 17-truck pileup ensued. With major damage all around his Toyota, the over-the-wall crew threw feverishly attempted repairs but ended up with a 23rd-place finish when the six-minute clock expired under NASCAR’s damaged vehicle policy. Heim’s second start of the season came at Watkins Glen International, where he was plagued by issues that kept him mired mid-pack and relegated him to an 18th-place finish.
    • While it will be the talented teenager’s first Truck Series start at “The Paperclip,” he has made two starts there in a Late Model Stock. He qualified third, finished second in his heat and started the feature from the seventh position in this year’s event on Sept. 25. In the feature a flat tire caused him to go multiple laps down and relegated him to a 32nd-place finish. He finished runner-up in a controversial finish to the 2018 event, when he took the lead on the third and final attempt at a green-white-checkered but after another yellow came out the scoring was reverted to the running order on the prior lap due to not using scoring loops for a Late Model Stock event.
    • The Toyota Racing Development product finished second to Ty Gibbs in the 2021 ARCA Menards Series championship standings. Heim collected six wins, three poles, 406 laps led, 16 top-five and 20 top-10 finishes and produced an average finish of 3.1 across 20 starts. Across 36 career ARCA Menards Series starts has seven wins, 503 laps led, 26 top-five and 35 top-10 finishes resulting in an average finish of 4.2. Heim Picked up his first career ARCA Menards Series victory at Kansas Speedway Oct. 16, 2020.
    • Heim has also found his way to victory lane in the Late Model Ranks the last few seasons. Most recently, the Georgia driver brought home a victory March 27 in the Super Late Model Georgia Spring Nationals at Crip Motorsports Park in Cordele, Ga. It was his second Super Late Model win at his home state track, where he also won CRA SpeedFest at the 3/8-mile track in 2020. On the CARS Tour, Heim has one Super Late Model win at South Boston (Va.) Speedway in 2018 and one Late Model Stock victory at Hickory (N.C.) Motor Speedway in 2020.
    • The No. 51 team has produced three victories in Mardy Lindley’s first season as a crew chief at KBM, two with owner-driver Kyle Busch and one with Martin Truex Jr. Before arriving at KBM, Lindley guided his drivers to 32 wins and four ARCA Menards Series East championships since 2013, including back-to-back titles with Sam Mayer the last two seasons. Additionally, he earned the ARCA Menards Series Sioux Chief Showdown championship with Mayer in 2020. Behind the wheel, the second-generation driver won 11 races on the Pro Cup Series from 2000 to 2006 and was crowned the series champion in 2001. In Lindley’s lone visit to Martinsville in the Truck Series, Mayer led 33 laps before being caught up in a multi-truck wreck that relegated him to a 28th-place finish. Lindley’s father, Butch, finished second to Harry Gant in the Cup Series race at Martinsville on April 25, 1982.
    • HYTE, a subsidiary brand of iBUYPOWER, will serve as the primary sponsor for Saturday’s race with Heim. HYTE is a lifestyle-centered brand which focuses on enhancing play with its fresh and innovative PC components and accessories. Designed to fuel passions in gaming, music, the arts, and entertainment, all HYTE products are rigorously researched and tested before they are brought to fruition. HYTE, as a company and its products, are inspired by the needs and behaviors of its community and the many ways people play. HYTE is committed to designing products to help people experience play throughout their lifestyle, no matter what that may be.
    • As part of the second annual Honor a Cancer Hero Campaign which raised over $100,000 for the Martin Truex Jr. Foundation and The NASCAR Foundation, two organizations recognized as champions for the health and well-being of others, Heim’s No. 51 Toyota will carry the name of Nicole Mancini over the driver door on Saturday. Mancini is a breast cancer survivor who has kicked cancers butt as well as completed multiple full Ironman events. She is also an integral, long-term board member of The Mohawk Foundation, a small charity that uses triathlons and running to raise funds for breast cancer research.

    Drew Dollar, Driver Q&A:

Are you looking forward to getting back behind the wheel of a Tundra this weekend?
“Absolutely, I think in our first two starts we had really good speed both times at Watkins Glen and Darlington. Going to a track that I’ve been to before, unlike the other two, I think is a big advantage for me. Just being in a late model a couple times there is going to give me a really good head start on it.”

How do you think driving a truck at Martinsville will compare to what you are used to with a Late Model Stock?
“I think the basics are pretty similar, as far as race dynamic and line, and everything are pretty similar. I definitely have to be mindful that it’s a heavier race vehicle and it has more power than the late model. We’ve been doing a lot of sim to prepare for it. I think I’m pretty well prepared but without having practice it might be tough.”

Have you set a goal for your final start of 2021?
“I think the main thing is to try and get a top five with our HYTE Toyota Tundra this weekend. We’ve had a good year; had a lot of speed and I think just putting ourselves in the top five would be our goal.”

    Corey Heim’s Career Highlights:
Finished runner-up in the ARCA Menards Series championship standings in 2021 after collecting six wins, three poles, 406 laps led, 16 top-five and 20 top-10 finishes resulting in an average finish of 3.1 across 20 starts.
Across 36 career ARCA Menards Series starts has seven wins, 503 laps led, 26 top-five and 35 top-10 finishes resulting in an average finish of 4.2. Picked up his first career ARCA Menards Series victory at Kansas Speedway Oct. 16, 2020.
Brought home a victory March 27, 2020, in the Super Late Model Georgia Spring Nationals at Crip Motorsports Park in Cordele, Ga. It was his second Super Late Model win at his home state track, where he also won CRA SpeedFest at the 3/8-mile track in 2020.
On the CARS Tour, has collected one Super Late Model win at South Boston (Va.) Speedway in 2018 and one Late Model Stock victory at Hickory (N.C.) Motor Speedway in 2020
Captured the 2017 Atlanta Motor Speedway Thursday Thunder Pro Series championship and the 2016 Atlanta Motor Speedway Young Lions Legends Car championship

Corey Heim’s No. 51 HYTE Tundra:
KBM-62: The No. 51 HYTE team will unload KBM-62 for Saturday’s race at Martinsville. Mr. Smith Ready to Rip at “The Paperclip”:

    • Chandler Smith and the No. 18 Safelite AutoGlass team head to Martinsville Speedway for the final race in the Round of 8 of the NASCAR Camping World Truck Series playoffs. Smith enters Saturday’s elimination race sixth on the playoff grid but finds himself 34 points below the cutoff line for advancing to the Championship 4 and basically in a must-win situation. Smith was put in a hole by being involved in accidents in each of the first two races in the round which relegated him to finishes of 35th and 19th, respectively at Las Vegas (Nev.) Motor Speedway and Talladega (Ala.) Superspeedway.
    • Despite having 36 career Truck Series starts under his belt since making his debut in June of 2019, the 19-year-old driver will be making his first career start in any series at “The Paperclip.”
    • Being in a must-win situation is nothing new to Smith, he fended off elimination in the Round of 10 when he collected his first career NASCAR Camping World Truck Series victory Sept. 16 at Bristol (Tenn.) Motor Speedway in the final race of the round. Smith muscled his way past reigning Truck Series champion Shelden Creed on a restart with five laps remaining and then held off his KBM teammate John Hunter Nemechek to collect the victory in his 34th career start in NASCAR’s third division.
    • Smith finished the regular season 10th on the Camping World Truck Series playoff grid, 10 points above the cutoff line for qualifying for the post season, after posting three top-five and five top-10 finishes across 15 races. Smith and fellow Sunoco Rookie of the Year contender Carson Hocevar are the only two drivers in the playoffs who are competing for a driver’s championship for the first time. Overall, across 20 starts in 2021, Smith has recorded one win, four top-five and seven top-10 finishes resulting in an average finish of 18.3.
    • The Toyota Racing Development driver has one win, 12 top-five, and 16 top-10 finishes resulting in an average finish of 15.6 across 36 career Camping World Truck Series starts. In addition to his Bristol win, he has posted two runner-up finishes; at Knoxville Raceway earlier this season and at Bristol in 2019.
    • Veteran crew chief Danny Stockman calls the shots for Smith and the No. 18 team in 2021. Stockman led the No. 51 team to four wins in his first season atop the pit box at KBM in 2020 and has earned one with Smith this season. He came to the organization with experience as a crew chief in all three national series, including a Truck Series championship with Austin Dillon in 2011 and an Xfinity Series championship with Dillon in 2013. Across four starts at Martinsville, Stockman’s drivers have collected one top-five and two top-10 finishes resulting in an average finish of 10.5. His best result was a third-place finish with Dillon in 2011.
    • Safelite AutoGlass – the nation’s largest provider of vehicle glass repair, replacement, and recalibration services – will serve as the primary sponsor on Smith’s Tundra at Martinsville and for 16 races total this season. Smith General Contracting and QuickTie – a proprietary, patented hold down system for high wind and seismic construction – will be associate partners on the bedtop of the No. 18 Toyota for Saturday’s 200-lap event.
    • As part of the second annual Honor a Cancer Hero Campaign which raised over $100,000 for the Martin Truex Jr. Foundation and The NASCAR Foundation, two organizations recognized as champions for the health and well-being of others, Smith’s No. 18 Toyota will carry the name of Rene Neff over the driver door on Saturday. Chandler Smith, Driver Q&A:

With being 34 points below the cutoff line for advancing to the Championship 4, how will you approach Saturday’s race?
“We just have to go out there and win. Every weekend our goal is to go out there and win races, so nothing has really changed. When it comes push to shove, we are definitely going to give the shove probably a little more than give and take. It’s no different than Bristol, we had to win at Bristol. We had a really good Safelite AuotoGlass Toyota Tundra at Bristol and I expect the same at Martinsville.”

How are you preparing for your first start in any series at Martinsville?
“I’ve had a lot of sim time for sure and I’ve talked to a few guys that have been there – talked to Kyle a little bit. I’ve watched a lot of film, to say the least. At the end of the day, it’s a short track and that’s kind of my background and I don’t think there’s going to be much different from short track to short track. At the end of the day, they are all circle tracks and it’s The Paperclip, I’m looking forward to it for sure.”

What’s it going to take to win on Saturday?
“I think its all about being there at the end. For us to even be able to win the race, we have to make sure we survive all the way to the end. I believe in my team, I believe in everybody behind me and know that we’ll have that Safelite AutoGlass Tundra out front by the end of the race.”

    Chandler Smith Career Highlights:

  • Sherfick Companies and Super DOPE Chiropractic to support Chris Hacker in Martinsville Speedway debut with Niece Motorsports

Sherfick Companies and Super DOPE Chiropractic to support Chris Hacker in Martinsville Speedway debut with Niece Motorsports

MOORESVILLE, N.C.: fgrACCEL and Niece Motorsports jointly announced today that Sherfick Companies and Super DOPE Chiropractic have leaped aboard for NASCAR Camping World Truck Series (NCWTS) rookie Chris Hacker’s debut at Martinsville (Va.) Speedway for the penultimate race of the 2021 season.

The Oct. 30 running of the United Rentals 200 will mark Hacker’s third career start in one of NASCAR’s national divisions, but also provide an opportunity to highlight two new partners Sherfick Companies and Super DOPE Chiropractic Inc. (SDC) in the Truck Series for one of their most anticipated races of the season.

Sherfick Companies is a family-owned real estate development and construction business with experience in commercial and residential construction and design.

Michael and Gabby Sherfick team up on the designs, while Gabby takes the lead on all the important finishes that attract clients and home buyers from all around the globe. She is also a licensed real estate agent who serves at the company’s forefront.

Martinsville will mark the Sherfick’s second investment in the sport of NASCAR. Earlier this year, the team was a partner in the NASCAR Cup Series with StarCom Racing and driver Quin Houff at the Indianapolis Motor Speedway Road Course.

The historic Virginia short track will however be the debut in the sport for Super DOPE Chiropractic.

SDC is owned and operated by Dr. David Coberly (IG: @SuperDOPEChiro), a long-time race fan.

SDC is an Indianapolis-based Chiropractic business with one location downtown and one in Carmel with five additional locations in the works.

Like Michael Sherfick, Dr. Coberly is an Army veteran and is passionate about improving the lives of the community around him.

“It was a no-brainer when Mike approached me about sponsoring Chris and the Niece Motorsports truck,” offered Dr. Coberly. “Chris Hacker is a Noblesville native and opportunities like this do not come around often.”

Hacker is counting down the days to his return to the Truck Series.

“I am very thankful and humbled to represent Sherfick Companies and Super DOPE Chiropractic at Martinsville Speedway,” said Hacker. “It is great to see new companies who are enjoying the benefits of a partnership in NASCAR and eager to explore further opportunities.

“They could easily have chosen to continue to have a presence in the NASCAR Cup Series, but they have jumped aboard the NASCAR Camping World Truck Series train with myself and Niece Motorsports. I’m excited about wheeling the No. 45 Sherfick Companies | Super DOPE Chiropractic Chevrolet Silverado at a short track.”

With the Sherfick’s and Dr. Coberly both living in Noblesville and Hacker being a native of Noblesville – the pressure is on to perform for the hometown.

“Martinsville is a huge opportunity to represent two companies that are local to me back in Indiana, so of course I want to go to the track and put our No. 45 Sherfick Companies | Super DOPE Chiropractic Chevrolet Silverado in the top-10.

That race is never easy though. There are going to be a lot of drivers on different agendas, but we just need to stay focused on our plan and hope we are rewarded at the end with a great finish and some welcomed exposure.”

“We are no strangers to racing and with Niece Motorsports equipment, we feel Chris has a really good chance for a strong finish,” offered Michael Sherfick.

Dr. Coberly added, “Super DOPE Chiropractic is excited to be along for Chris Hacker’s journey in the NASCAR Camping World Truck Series. I look forward to a great race and even better finish on Saturday afternoon.

The penultimate race of the 2021 NCWTS will be Hacker’s second race with Mooresville, N.C.-based Niece Motorsports. Hacker made his debut for the organization at Las Vegas (Nev.) Motor Speedway in September.

Hacker began racing when he was eight years old, and at age 13 became the youngest driver to win in the Champions Racing Association Late Model Series.

Last year, Hacker made his NASCAR debut in the ARCA Menards West Series at Phoenix (Ariz.) Raceway, where he earned a noteworthy top-15 finish.

Earlier this season, in the premier ARCA Menards Series, Hacker earned a 10th place finish at Charlotte (N.C.) Motor Speedway.

In addition to his ARCA starts, Hacker made his NASCAR Camping World Truck Series debut at World Wide Technology Raceway at Gateway in August, in the No. 34 Reaume Brothers Racing entry.

  • John Hunter Nemechek Returning to KBM in 2022

John Hunter Nemechek Returning to KBM in 2022

Eric Phillips to lead efforts of No. 4 team again next season

MOORESVILLE, N.C. (Oct. 14, 2021) – Kyle Busch Motorsports (KBM) announced today that John Hunter Nemechek will return to drive the No. 4 Tundra in the NASCAR Camping World Truck Series full time in 2022. The organization also announced that Eric Phillips, the winningest crew chief in Truck Series history, will once again call the shots atop the pit box for Nemechek and the No. 4 team next season.

With two races remaining in the 2021 season, Nemechek leads the Truck Series in wins (five), top fives (12), driver rating (114.5), average finish (8.5) and average running position (6.961). The 24-year-old drive is also tied for the most top 10s (15) and ranks second in laps led (570). He captured the regular season championship and with one race remaining in the Round of 8 of the NASCAR Camping World Truck Series playoffs, sits 36 points above the cutoff line for advancing to the Championship 4 at Phoenix (Ariz.) Raceway.

“I came to Kyle Busch Motorsports because it was an opportunity to get back to victory lane — I accomplished my goal of being here for wins and I’m excited to be coming back for more next year,” Nemechek said. “With the support of Kyle and Samantha, everyone at KBM and everyone at Toyota and TRD, I’ve been able to experience the thrill of victory alongside my long-term partners ROMCO, Fire Alarm Services, Pye-Barker Fire & Safety and Safeway, and we were also able to get Mobil 1 back to victory lane for KBM. We have some unfinished business left trying to bring the championship trophy home to KBM this year and then we’ll go to work on the brand new 2022 Tundra so that we can compete for more wins and another championship next year.”

“It’s been refreshing to see John Hunter get the No. 4 Tundra back out front leading laps, winning races and competing for a championship this year like it had in the past and it’s important for us that we are able to keep him in that seat for another season,” Kyle Busch said. “In addition to the accomplishments of the No. 4 team this season, the efforts that John Hunter and Eric have put in behind the scenes have helped keep that winning edge of performance in our whole program. I’m pumped to have the both of them back leading the charge at KBM as we roll out the new 2022 Tundra TRD Pro’s next season to continue our winning ways!”

Nemecheck, in his first season driving for KBM, collected his first victory of the season at Las Vegas (Nev.) Motor Speedway in March, he also produced wins at Richmond (Va.) Raceway in April, Charlotte (N.C.) Motor Speedway in May and in June was victorious at Texas Motor Speedway in Fort Worth and Pocono Raceway in Long Pond, Pa.

The second generation driver is an 11-time winner in Camping World Truck Series action, winning at least one race each season from 2015 to 2018 for his family-owned team, NEMCO Motorsports in addition to his triumphs this season. Across 121 career starts in NASCAR’s third division, he has compiled two poles, 1,169 laps led, 40 top-five and 65 top-10 finishes resulting in an average finish of 12.4.

Phillips returned to KBM in 2021 to lead the No. 4 team efforts after six seasons working at Joe Gibbs Racing in various roles. In 2010, under Phillips’ direction KBM’s No. 18 team recorded eight victories in its inaugural campaign and became the first team in Truck Series history to capture an owner’s championship in its first season of competition. In 2014, the Illinois native led the No. 51 team to an owner’s championship and his team’s 10 wins spearheaded KBM to a single-season Truck Series record of 14 wins. His 42 career Truck Series victories make him the winningest crew chief in Truck Series history, with 32 of those coming while at KBM.

Sponsor announcements for the 2022 season are forthcoming.

GMS Racing Tabs Grant Enfinger To Drive The No. 23 Champion Power Equipment Silverado Full-Time In 2022 and 2023

Statesville, NC (Oct. 1, 2021) – GMS Racing is proud to re-welcome Grant Enfinger to its NASCAR Camping World Truck Series (NCWTS) line-up in 2022. The 2019 Regular Season Champion will pilot the team’s iconic No. 23 Chevrolet Silverado full-time in 2022 and 2023.

Enfinger, who has six NCWTS wins in his career, will be rejoining forces with a team that has strong ties to the driver from Fairhope, Ala. Over the years, the driver and team pairing have made a lot of history on track in multiple series.

The Series veteran delivered GMS Racing the team’s first win in the ARCA Menards Series at Berlin Raceway in 2014, and the duo went on to win the ARCA Menards Series championship in 2015. In 2016, driving the GMS Racing No. 24 Chevrolet Silverado, Enfinger earned his first career NCWTS win at Talladega Superspeedway.

“It’s an honor to be coming back to GMS Racing, the place where I was able to jump start my career in NASCAR. Together GMS Racing and I saw a tremendous amount of success – winning races and championships – and I’m ready to pick up where we left off,” said Grant.

Joining Enfinger on the move to GMS Racing will be longtime supporter, Champion Power Equipment, who will serve as primary sponsor of the No. 23 Silverado for the majority of the next two seasons. Champion Power Equipment has played an integral role in Grant’s career, with a relationship that dates back to 2015.

“Champion Power Equipment started our motorsports journey with GMS Racing in 2014, joining forces with Grant’s program at GMS Racing in 2015, and we have never looked back,” said Dennis Trine of Champion Power Equipment. “Year-after-year we are seeing the value that a partnership with not only Grant, but in NASCAR, brings to our company. Our consumers are outdoor enthusiast and we are able to connect with them directly at NASCAR race tracks, allowing us to see measurable growth through the life of the partnership. We look forward to continuing that growth with Grant and the GMS Racing team over the next two seasons.”

The No. 23 GMS Racing team looks to contend for race wins and make a bid for the NASCAR Camping World Truck Series championship with the energy from the strong partnership with Grant Enfinger and Champion Power Equipment. All parties share a common goal in building a program driven by success.

“It’s so great to know where I’m going to be for the next couple of years, as I’m used to finding out around January each season,” continued Enfinger. “To have this deal signed this early ahead of the season is huge for me personally and career-wise, and I can’t wait to get started!”

Additional information about GMS Racing’s 2022 NASCAR Camping World Truck Series season will be made at a later date, including additional driver announcements, sponsor unveilings, and crew chief pairings.

  • Codie Rohrbaugh ready to continue superspeedway success at Talladega Superspeedway

Codie Rohrbaugh ready to continue superspeedway success at Talladega Superspeedway

TALLADEGA, Ala.: For the first time since Knoxville Raceway in July, Codie Rohrbaugh returns to the driving duties of the No. 9 Grant County Mulch Chevrolet Silverado for Saturday afternoon’s Chevrolet Silverado 250 at Talladega (Ala.) Superspeedway.

Rohrbaugh returns to the seat of his family-owned No. 9 CR7 Motorsports Chevrolet Silverado on the heels of the team’s strong top-10 finish last weekend at Las Vegas (Nev.) Motor Speedway with driver Grant Enfinger.

Plus, the Petersburg, West Virginia native is seeking his fourth straight top-10 finish with the Doug George-led team on a superspeedway.

Dating back to the season-opener at Daytona (Fla.) International Speedway in February 2020, the 27-year-old has delivered two top-five and three top-10 finishes, including a career-best third place at the World Center of Racing last February.

Knowing the challenges and luck that arrives with superspeedway racing, Rohrbaugh and his Statesville, N.C.-based team enter the final speedway race of the season planning to stick to their gameplan that has delivered success over the past year and a half.

“I’m stoked about being back behind the wheel of the No. 9 Grant County Mulch Chevrolet Silverado this weekend,” said Rohrbaugh. “It’s been a while since I’ve been in the seat, but to see the success the team has been able to endure over the past couple of months with Grant (Enfinger) and Colby (Howard) has made the sacrifice of getting out of the truck worth it.

“We are building a strong program here at CR7 Motorsports and I’d like to think we can continue our recent uptick in race finishes with another good run on Saturday afternoon at Talladega.”

When it comes to strategy, Rohrbaugh says his team doesn’t necessarily have a plan, it’s a wait-and-see type approach.

“Typically, we just let the race play out and see what happens,” added Rohrbaugh. “We have played the strategy game before, and you run the chance of it not working out. We’ll just see how crazy the race gets.

“If the truck is strong and we feel pretty stable, we’ll try and hang near the front. If not, we’ll tuck near the back and make some adjustments and then just focus forward. We’ve been very fortunate enough to have luck on our side the last three superspeedways’ races and I just hope that continues this weekend.”

Based on metrics set by NASCAR without practice or qualifying, Rohrbaugh will line up 29th for the 94-lap race.

CR7 Motorsports holds 24th in the championship owner standings participating in 17 of the 19 races this season.
Rohrbaugh, 27, will make his 36th NASCAR Camping World Truck Series start in the 16th annual Chevrolet Silverado 250.

CR7 Motorsports has 43 NCWTS starts to their credit with a career-best finish of third at Daytona (Fla.) International Speedway (February 2020). Additionally, the team owns six other top-10 finishes including two this season at Circuit of the Americas (fourth | Grant Enfinger) in May 2021 and Las Vegas (Nev.) Motor Speedway (seventh | Grant Enfinger) in March 2021. An 11th place qualifying effort at Talladega (Ala.) Superspeedway (Oct. 2019) is the team’s best time trials effort to date.

In 20 career ARCA starts, Rohrbaugh has a best finish of seventh twice at Pocono (Pa.) Raceway (July 2018 and Daytona (Fla.) International Speedway (February 2019). He has qualified a career-best fourth on four different occasions, most recently at Kansas Speedway (Oct. 2018).

Marketing partnership(s) opportunities are also available for the No. 9 Grant County Mulch Chevrolet in the NASCAR Camping World Truck Series, as well as the team’s ARCA Menards Series No. 97 A.L.L. Construction | Grant County Mulch Chevrolet program with driver Jason Kitzmiller for the 2021 seasons and beyond.
