Five-Time Track Champion Brian Brown to Pilot No. 51 Casey’s General Stores/Rowdy Energy Tundra at Knoxville

Rowdy Energy Athlete to Make Camping World Trucks Debut at Famed Venue

MOORESVILLE, N.C. (April 16, 2021) – Kyle Busch Motorsports (KBM) announced today that ‘Blackjack’ Brian Brown will pilot the No. 51 Tundra when the NASCAR Camping World Truck Series makes its inaugural visit to Knoxville (Iowa) Raceway July 9. Brown’s Toyota will carry primary sponsorship from Casey’s General Stores, the fourth largest convenience store retailer in the United States, and Rowdy Energy, the enhanced hydration formula energy drink created by KBM owner Kyle Busch.

Brown boasts an impressive resume racing Sprint Cars, currently totaling 185 career victories at the numerous tracks he has competed at across the country. The 42-year-old Missouri native has recorded 52 career wins and four track championships at Knoxville in the 410 Sprint Car division, (2010, 2017, 2019-2020) and another 16 victories and one title in the 360 division (2002). ‘Blackjack’ finished second three consecutive years (2012-2014) in the prestigious Knoxville Nationals, a yearly event held at the half-mile dirt oval.

“It’s so cool that I’m getting the opportunity to make my NASCAR Camping World Trucks Series debut at a track that is not only my favorite but a track that I’ve experienced a tremendous amount of success, with my long-time partner Casey’s, and my newest partner Rowdy Energy collaborating to make this dream come true,” Brown said. “It’s been a lot of fun this year as a Rowdy Energy athlete to be able to introduce racing fans across the country to all of the great flavors that Kyle has created in his energy drink and interact with them when they share their appreciation for his product on social media. I’m excited that now they’ll be able to purchase Rowdy Energy easily at over 1800 Casey’s stores.”

“Brian has been a great ambassador for the Rowdy Energy brand this year and has an impressive resume at Knoxville, so as the Camping World Truck Series visits the famed dirt track for the first time, we thought it was the perfect opportunity to get him behind the wheel of the No. 51 Tundra,” Busch said. “From racing out in Iowa a few times myself, I’ve seen firsthand how much Casey’s supports motorsports in the Midwest. It’s an honor to not only have them onboard at KBM as a sponsor for the inaugural NASCAR event at Knoxville but to also have them carrying Rowdy Energy in their stores.”

“Casey’s is excited to see our long-time racing partner, Brian Brown, competing in the NASCAR Camping World Truck Series race,” said Megan Elfers, Vice President of Marketing, Casey’s. “This race provides a new way for Casey’s to connect with sprint car racing fans alongside Rowdy Energy which goes great with Casey’s famous pizza and snacks.”

KBM has earned three of its Camping World Truck series-leading 83 career wins on dirt tracks. Darrell Wallace Jr. won at Eldora Speedway in Rossburg, Ohio, a half-mile dirt oval, in 2014 and Christopher Bell made it back-to-back victories for the organization at the famed track in 2015. Most recently, 2017 NASCAR Cup Series champion Martin Truex Jr. drove the No. 51 Toyota to victory March 29 in the Truck Series inaugural dirt race at Bristol (Tenn.) Motor Speedway.

  • Spencer Davis carries team momentum to Richmond Raceway

Spencer Davis carries team momentum to Richmond Raceway

RICHMOND, Va.: Two weeks after Darrell Wallace steered the No. 11 Spencer Davis Motorsports Toyota to a season-high 11th place finish in the Pinty’s Dirt Truck race at Bristol (Tenn.) Motor Speedway, team owner and driver Spencer Davis returns to the seat for Saturday’s ToyotaCare 250 at Richmond (Va.) Raceway.

Davis returns to the seat upbeat about the recent trek of his family-owned team’s performance in their opening two races of the 2021 NASCAR Camping World Truck Series (NCWTS).

After acquiring the owner points from NEMCO Motorsports and making their first run of the season at Atlanta (Ga.) Motor Speedway last month, Davis earned a strong top-20 finish after nearly starting shotgun on the field in FR8 Auctions 200 on March 20.

In the series’ highly anticipated debut on the Bristol Motor Speedway Dirt, six-time Truck Series winner Wallace returned to the tour and despite starting deep in the field after the heat races were canceled because of inclement weather, the Mobile, Ala. native cleverly maneuvered his way through the field to finish 11th in his No. 11 Columbia Sports Wear Toyota Tundra.

The recent effort of Spencer Davis Motorsports has lifted the organization from 36th in owner points to 28th in just two races with the Danny Gill-led team showing no sign of slowing down anytime soon.

“I’m very proud of this Spencer Davis Motorsports team, especially our effort at Bristol Motor Speedway,” said Davis. “We’ve been able to find out footing very quickly in just two races but it’s important not to get complacent because we still have work to do and wins to chase after.”

Saturday’s 250-lap race at Richmond’s 0.875-mile oval will mark the Dawsonville, Ga. native’s first run at the legendary short track and while he doesn’t have any laps in real life – he has been steadily preparing for this weekend’s race utilizing other resources.

“I’m glad to be checking off another new track for my NASCAR resume, but Richmond from what I understand is a very demanding short track and tire conservation will certainly come into play,” added Davis.

“We’re going to have a decent starting spot and it’s going to be important for us to get a good balance on our No. 11 INOX Supreme Lubricants Toyota early so we can put ourselves in a good spot for Stage 3. The race had a lot of green-flag runs last year and it is hard to say with the race being run during the day this year if that will change the complexion of the race – but we’ll be ready for anything that is thrown our way.

“I’m just thankful to get back behind the wheel of our No. 11 INOX Supreme Lubricants Toyota this weekend.”

In February, SDM announced that INOX Supreme Lubricants will serve as the team’s primary partner this season.

INOX product range was first released in 1989 with the Original INOX MX3 Lubricant. The original MX3 product was in development stages for two years prior to release with testing and focus on creating the right product for the market.

The INOX product range continues to grow with 12 products on the market, each with their own many specialized qualities used in all different industries. All their products are tested and trialed before hitting the market to ensure the best of quality is maintained in the INOX name. INOX products are available at all major industrial, electrical, automotive, hardware, bearing and mining, marine, fishing and tackle outlets, plus many more locations.

A wholly owned Australian company Candan Industries is now exporting to over 25 countries including United States of America, Canada, France, South Africa, New Zealand, Indonesia and Malaysia.

“Excited to have a long-time friendship turn into more for Atlanta with INOX Supreme Lubricants,” said Davis. “It feels great going there with a popular new scheme and an awesome sponsor, can’t thank Angel and James at INOX enough for their continued support and partnership with our small team.

“Looking forward to having them more on this year hopefully, thrilled to be a brand ambassador and represent them to the best of our ability. We use their products day to day on our race team and in our machines at our business. A quality product and amazing people helped bring this all together.”

When asked about the team’s recent momentum, the two-time ARCA Menards Series East winner attributed the vibe around the team to crew chief Danny Gill.

“Danny has been awesome to work with and has done a great job in helping prepare and call a great race for our Spencer Davis Motorsports team,” added Davis. “The Truck Series is a lot more competitive than it was last year, so you are literally fighting for that next spot, but I think we have showcased over the last month that we have the equipment to battle for strong finishes and that will be our momentum to carry us to Richmond this weekend and Kansas in a few weeks.”

Entering Richmond, Davis, 22, has 24 NASCAR Camping World Truck Series starts to his credit with a career-best finish of seventh at Daytona (Fla.) International Speedway in Feb. 2018, with additional top-10s at Texas Motor Speedway (June 2018) and Kentucky Speedway (July 2019).

The ToyotaCare 250 (250 laps | 187.5 miles) is the sixth of 22 NASCAR Camping World Truck Series races on the 2021 schedule. The 40-truck field will take the green flag on Sat., Apr. 17, 2021, shortly after 1:30 p.m. ET with live coverage on FOX Sports 1, the Motor Racing Network (Radio) and SiriusXM Satellite Radio NASCAR Channel 90.

  • CR7 Motorsports; Codie Rohrbaugh ready for familiar Richmond territory

CR7 Motorsports; Codie Rohrbaugh ready for familiar Richmond territory

RICHMOND, Va. After inhaling his first experience on the dirt in the most recent NASCAR Camping World Truck Series (NCWTS) race at Bristol (Tenn.) Motor Speedway for the Pinty’s Dirt Truck Race, CR7 Motorsports driver Codie Rohrbaugh is ready for some familiar territory in Saturday afternoon’s ToyotaCare 250 at Richmond (Va.) Raceway.

And the popular Virginia short track may be exactly what the doctor ordered for the Statesville, N.C.-based team as they look to the 0.875-mile oval to put their 2021 Truck Series season back on the right footing after tough finishes of 29th and 27th at Atlanta (Ga.) Motor Speedway and Bristol respectively.

“I’m really pumped up about Richmond this weekend,” said Rohrbaugh. “The Bristol dirt race was definitely different and while I was thankful for the experience – the finish wasn’t what we hoped. Hopefully, we can go to Richmond this weekend and turn our 2021 season back around with a similar finish from last fall.”

CR7 Motorsports certainly turned heads last September as Rohrbaugh brilliantly crafted through the field in Stage 3 on fresh tires and vaulted inside the top-10 before settling for sixth, one of his three top-10 finishes last season.

Knowing what put them on the map in the Sept. 10, 2020 race – Rohrbaugh is hoping that he and crew chief Doug George can continue their Richmond presence and collect their second top-10 of the 2021 season.

“We took a gamble last year and it paid off,” recalled Rohrbaugh. “If we find ourselves in a spot where we can do that again on Saturday, I’m sure we would make that call all day long. Luckily for us, the race stayed green and we were able to take advantage of track position and tire grip to put us inside the top-10.

“I’m not sure what to expect this weekend since the race will be during the day compared to being run at night last year – but that’s why I have Doug. He’ll know what to do when the cards are dealt.”

If Rohrbaugh is going to contend for his sixth career top-10 finish in Trucks, he knows he’ll have to negotiate traffic early and maintain a lead lap presence with his No. 9 Grant County Mulch Chevrolet Silverado.

“Track position is incredibly crucial at a place like Richmond, so staying on the lead lap is probably our biggest priority in Stage 1. From there, we can work on the balance and set ourselves up to be in a good place at the end of Stage 2 to race to the finish.

“We know what we are fighting for this weekend, I just hope we’re able to again deliver.”

Based on metrics set by NASCAR without practice or qualifying, Rohrbaugh will lineup 20th for his second Truck Series start at Richmond.

CR7 Motorsports has 32 NCWTS starts to their credit with a career-best finish of third at Daytona (Fla.) International Speedway (February 2020). Additionally, the team owns five other top-10 finishes at Talladega (Ala.) Superspeedway (fifth) in October 2020, Richmond (Va.) Raceway (sixth) in September 2020, Las Vegas (Nev.) Motor Speedway (seventh | Grant Enfinger) in March 2021, Daytona (Fla.) International Speedway (eighth) in February 2021 and Martinsville (Va.) Speedway (10th) in October 2019. An 11th place qualifying effort at Talladega (Ala.) Superspeedway (Oct. 2019) is the team’s best time trials effort to date.

With 17 races remaining, Rohrbaugh, 27, is 22nd in the championship driver standings, just two points from 20th. CR7 Motorsports holds a solid 15th in the championship owner standings after five races.

In 20 career ARCA starts, Rohrbaugh has a best finish of seventh twice at Pocono (Pa.) Raceway (July 2018 and Daytona (Fla.) International Speedway (February 2019). He has qualified a career-best fourth on four different occasions, most recently at Kansas Speedway (Oct. 2018).

Marketing partnership(s) opportunities are also available for the No. 9 Grant County Mulch Chevrolet in the NASCAR Camping World Truck Series, as well as the team’s ARCA Menards Series No. 97 A.L.L. Construction | Grant County Mulch Chevrolet program with driver Jason Kitzmiller for the 2021 seasons and beyond. Interested inquiries are encouraged to contact

Howie DiSavino III readies Truck Series debut at Richmond Raceway

RICHMOND, Va.: The anticipation is nearly over for Howie DiSavino III who will make his NASCAR Camping World Truck Series (NCWTS) debut for Jordan Anderson Racing (JAR) in Saturday afternoon’s ToyotaCare 250 at Richmond (Va.) Raceway.

Richmond is more than just a debut for the recently turned 20-year-old upcoming sensation.

It’s an opportunity and audition at the same time.

The sixth Truck Series race of the season is nestled just 18 miles south of DiSavino’s hometown of Chesterfield, Va., and the stands will be packed this weekend with plenty of support from friends to family and marketing partners.

“I’ve been looking forward to Richmond ever since we made the announcement a couple of weeks ago and I can’t believe it’s almost here,” said DiSavino who most recently competed in the ARCA Menards Series season opener for fellow Truck Series team AM Racing.

“This opportunity is a huge blessing but also the biggest opportunity of my life and I will do everything I can to make sure we come out of Richmond on Saturday afternoon with a lot of positivity on our side.”

To prepare himself to negotiate Richmond’s 0.875-mile short track, DiSavino has been studying film, photos and even spending a lot of time iRacing – hoping his hard work behind the scenes will prove to be beneficial for the 250-lap race.

“I’ve been diligently doing everything I possibly can to get myself ready for Richmond,” added DiSavino.

“I’ve spent a lot of time on YouTube, looking at photos, talking to other drivers who have raced at Richmond and so on. Without practice or qualifying, my first laps at Richmond will be when that green flag drops.

“That can be challenging for any driver – but as a team we accept and are ready to conquer the challenge.”

Longtime DiSavino partners KEES Vacations and Bud’s Heating & Air Conditioning will serve as the primary marketing partners on the No. 3 Chevrolet Silverado in the doubleheader weekend with the NASCAR Cup Series.

“I cannot thank my primary partners KEES Vacations and Bud’s Heating & Air Conditioning enough for this opportunity and I hope it opens the door to do some more Truck Series racing throughout the 2021 season.”

In addition to KEES Vacations and Bud’s Heating & Air Conditioning, Azalea D Realty, Q Barbeque Richmond and MassMutual Greater Richmond will serve as associate marketing partners on DiSavino’s No. 3 Chevrolet Silverado.

To help kickoff his NASCAR debut weekend, DiSavino will join his No. 3 KEES Vacations | Bud’s Heating & Air Conditioning Chevrolet Silverado at Q Barbeque Richmond (13800 Fribble Way, Midlothian, Va. 23112) beginning at 5:00 p.m. on Thurs., April 15 in a fundraiser benefiting ASK Childhood Cancer Center.

Former winning NASCAR driver Reed Sorenson will guide DiSavino around Richmond as his spotter.

Toyota Racing – NCWTS Richmond Quotes – Grant Enfinger – 04.14.21

    Toyota Racing – Grant Enfinger
NASCAR Camping World Truck Series Quotes

RICHMOND, Va. (April 14, 2021) – ThorSport Racing driver Grant Enfinger was made available to media via videoconference prior to the ToyotaCare 250 today:

GRANT ENFINGER, No. 98 Champion/Camping World Toyota Tundra, ThorSport Racing

How are you feeling about the truck going into the weekend?

“I definitely feel great about it. I feel like this is a great opportunity for us on this No. 98 Tundra team. We are taking the same truck that we ran there last year – same basic set-up, same tires, so hopefully, we can duplicate the result. Obviously, things are going to be different with it being a daytime race. I feel like it’s going to be a little bit slicker out there with hopefully a little bit of sunshine on Saturday. I’m looking forward to it.”

How has the season gone from your perspective?

“It has been going okay. We definitely haven’t set the world on fire. I feel like we had pretty good speed in Daytona, right off the bat. Since then, we’ve had okay speed. We haven’t just set the world on fire, but we’ve been solid. I feel like Bristol a couple weeks ago gave us a little momentum. I think we had to step outside the box a little bit – myself and J. Rod (Jeriod Prince, crew chief) – but I feel like things are progressing the right way. I don’t know when it’s just going to click and we are going to have that raw speed that we are looking for, but I do have full confidence that we will be able to get there before the end of the year.”

Do you still have hopes waiver for the Playoffs?

“I don’t know. As far as a decision, that’s in NASCAR’s hands. I don’t think they will grant me a waiver at this point, but I’m going to try to compete in all of the races that I can – whether that be a truck, a Xfinity car or a late model. Whatever I can do. I plan on staying busy. We just kind of have to see how that goes, but that really doesn’t change my mindset right now. It’s just winning races. I could honestly kind of care less about stage points at this point, which is kind of how we’ve approached it from the beginning this year. We are just going to go after wins and we might throw a few Hail Marys along the way.”

What was you and the short track racer’s reaction to Josh Berry’s win?

“I honestly don’t personally know Josh Berry. I know his story and I followed his late model career. He’s running a different type of late model than I have. He’s more of a late model stock guy. I think I can speak to all of the true racers that we love to see stories like that. I think that is what keeps the dream alive for a lot of the guys that are on the grind and just working hard on a Saturday night car and they are working on it each and every day of the week and spending every dime they have on it and begging and borrowing to make it to the racetrack. I think as a racer you like to see stories like that. if you look through the course of history, it seems like a guy like that slips through the tracks every year or two. Personally, I love it. This sport takes so much money, and the business model is so upside down and has been for so long that a lot of these opportunities are about family money – money is basically the root of a lot of these opportunities and if you see a guy that gets there just on perseverance and talent, you definitely like to see it.”

Do you have anything lined up other than your races with ThorSport?

“Nothing officially. We talked about running the Super Late Model again, but we don’t really have schedule for that or anything like that, but really no – not at this time. Hopefully we are able to piece together some stuff, like I said, we will just have to see how it goes.”

Are there any tracks that are not on your schedule that you would like to compete at?

“All of them. I have talked with Duke (Thorson, team owner) about one-offs here and there and he’s good with it, but there is still opportunity to run some more races with ThorSport on down the road so we will just kind of have to wait and see how this year goes. I don’t think this is going to be a year that I’m going to have much leeway and know too far in advance what is going to happen other than my 12 races that are secure there with ThorSport Racing and Champion Power Equipment.”

Did you feel your time in off-road racing has helped you in stock car racing?

    • In five starts this season, Gray has best finishes of 12th at Las Vegas Motor Speedway and 13th at the Bristol (Tenn.) Motor Speedway dirt race.

    Gray on Richmond:

“It’s nice to keep creeping forward in the lineup each week. Obviously, we would always like to start as far up as possible, but 11th is the best so far this year and should put us in a good position to contend for stage points. My only experience at Richmond was the race last season, so I’m looking forward to learning as much as possible during the race and hopefully we can stay inside the top-10 all day.”

NASCAR Camping World Truck Series Overview:
    Event: ToyotaCare 250, Race 6 of 22, 250 Laps – 70/70/110; 187.5 Miles
Location: Richmond (Va.) Raceway (0.75-mile D-shaped oval)
    Date/Broadcast: April 17, 2021 at 1:30 p.m. ET on FS1, MRN and SiriusXM NASCAR 90

    Mr. Smith Goes to Richmond:

    • Chandler Smith and the No. 18 JBL team look to change a recent fun of bad luck as the NASCAR Camping World Truck Series heads to Richmond Raceway for Saturday’s ToyotaCare 250. The team has experienced disappointing results the last two races, finishing 34th at the Bristol (Tenn.) Motor Speedway Dirt Track and 35th at Atlanta (Ga.) Motor Speedway.
    • When the Camping World Trucks returned to Richmond for the first time since 2005 last year, Smith recorded a 12th-place finish. The result was part of a strong finish to the season for the Georgia native, recording an average finish of 7.7 across his final seven starts compared to an average finish of 25.2 across his first five starts last year.
    • Smith comes into Saturday’s race 15th in the Camping World Truck Series championship standings. He currently sits 16 points behind Austin Wayne Self for the 10th and final spot in the playoffs. In the Rookie of the Year standings, Smith sits second, 14 points behind Carson Hocevar. Both drivers have captured the Rookie of the Race Award twice.
    • The Toyota Development Driver spent his off weekend competing in the CARS Tour/Southern Super Series event April 11 at Greenville-Pickens (S.C.) Speedway for Wilson Motorsports. Smith qualified fifth, started sixth after the invert and finished fifth in the 150-lap event.
    • The talented teenager has finished inside the top five in eight of his 21 career Camping World Truck Series starts, including a career-best runner-up finish at Bristol (Tenn.) Motor Speedway in 2019.
    • Veteran crew chief Danny Stockman will call the shots for Smith and the No. 18 team this season. Stockman led the No. 51 team to four wins in his first season atop the pit box at KBM in 2020. He came to the organization with experience as a crew chief in all three national series, including a Truck Series championship with Austin Dillon in 2011 and an Xfinity Series championship with Dillon in 2013. Stockman has crew chiefed one Truck Series race at Richmond, a 12th-place result with Smith last season. In Xfinity Series action, his drivers recorded four top-five and nine top-10 finishes, including two third-place finishes with Daniel Hemric.
    • JBL, the authority in engineering superior sound, will be the primary sponsor for the No. 18 team this week. Safelite AutoGlass – the nation’s largest provider of vehicle glass repair, replacement, and recalibration services – returns to Smith’s Tundra May 1 at Kansas Speedway in Kansas City.
    • All three KBM Tundras will carry a special decal on the B post this week promoting Autism Awareness that includes the website address of NASCAR Sammy (NASCARSammy.com), an avid NASCAR fan and autism advocate. Fans can visit his site to purchase a decal and help support his mission.

    Chandler Smith, Driver Q&A:

What is your outlook going into this weekend at Richmond?
“I’m really excited to get to Richmond. The trucks hadn’t been there for a few years, so when the trucks went back last year, it was a pretty big deal to be part of it all. As an organization, KBM is really strong with short tracks so to help build the short track program with going back to Richmond. Going back this year, I think we are going to better in our JBL Toyota Tundra.”

Does Richmond remind you of any short tracks that you grew up on in late models?
“Richmond kind of reminds of Five Flags Speedway in Pensacola, Florida. Other than that, it is a really unique track. It tears up the tires as a run goes on. You have to really be messing with the throttle all the time and racing the track. The characteristics are honestly like Pensacola.”

Have you discussed with your crew chief about the differences between a day and night race?
“I don’t think there is going to be much of a difference due to the cloud cover. If the sun is out, the track is going to be completely different. It’s going to be really greasy and slick. It’s going to be all about tire management. If the clouds stay around, it’s probably going to be similar to how the night race was.”

    Chandler Smith Career Highlights:

    • Across 21 career NASCAR Camping World Truck Series starts has recorded 115 laps led, eight top-five and 10 top-10 finishes resulting in an average finish of 14.6.
    • Posted an average finish of 7.7 across his final seven of 12 total Truck Series starts in 2020, including third-place finishes in the series finale at Phoenix (Ariz.) Raceway and his first career superspeedway start at Talladega (Ala.) Superspeedway in October.
    • Produced three top-five and four top-10 finishes resulting in an average finish of 4.2 across his first four career NASCAR Camping World Truck Series starts in 2019. He led 55 laps and finished eighth in his Gander Trucks debut at Iowa Speedway last July and then posted top-five finishes in his final three starts, including a runner-up finish at Bristol (Tenn.) Motor Speedway.
    • Has collected nine wins, 10 poles, 1761 laps led, 22 top-five and 29 top-10 finishes en route to an average finish of 5.2 across 33 career ARCA Menards Series starts. Set an ARCA Racing Series record by winning four consecutive poles to start his career and earned his first victory after leading a race-high 102 laps at Madison (Wis.) International Speedway in his fourth series start.

Chandler Smith’s No. 18 JBL Tundra:

KBM-60: The No. 18 JBL team will unload chassis number KBM-60 for Saturday’s ToyotaCare 250 at Richmond. The Tundra recorded two wins in three starts in 2020: Kyle Busch at Las Vegas (Nev.) Motor Speedway in February and Brandon Jones at Pocono Raceway in Long Pond, Pa. in June. Saturday’s race will be the first start for KBM-60 this season.

    KBM Notes of Interest:

    • KBM drivers produced an average finish of 18.7 in last year’s event at Richmond, the first time that the organization competed in the Camping World Truck Series at the venue. Kurt Busch picked up the team’s lone NASCAR Xfinity Series victory at the Virginia track in April of 2012.
    • KBM holds the Camping World Truck Series records for most career wins (83) and most wins in a single season (14 in 2014). With his victory at the Bristol Motor Speedway Dirt Track, Martin Truex Jr. became the 16th different driver to win a Truck Series event for KBM. In addition to collecting a series-record seven Owner’s Championships, the organization has produced two championship-winning drivers: Erik Jones (2015) and Christopher Bell (2017).
    • The No. 18, the number which was on the first Tundra that went to victory lane for KBM in 2010, has 21 career victories.

Truex on Racing at Richmond: “Richmond is a difficult track,” said Truex. “But I’m looking forward to getting back on pavement after Bristol. I have 10 starts there in Xfinity and Cup, but Saturday’s race will be my first time there in a truck. Richmond has very normal characteristics of a short track, but it is a lot slicker than other places we go – you are fighting front and rear grip on the exit of the corners. My team has been working hard on our short-track program and I’m confident we’ll have a strong run for Andrea, Viera and everyone at Marquis and Make-A-Wish.”

Truex on Marquis 900 Wishes Paint Scheme: “It’s really an honor to carry 900 really special Make-A-Wish names this weekend at Richmond,” said Truex. “I’m honored to work with Marquis and for the work that they do with a truly incredible organization like Make-A-Wish. This might be my first Truck Series start at Richmond, but I have a lot of Xfinity and Cup experience here that I think will pay off. I’m excited for Saturday afternoon’s race.”

Truex at Richmond: While it is Truex’s first start in the NASCAR Camping World Truck Series at Richmond Raceway, the 29-year-old driver is no stranger to the .75-mile track, with seven NASCAR Xfinity Series starts to his credit. In those seven starts, Truex has one top-five finish and three top-10 finishes.

Truex also has three NASCAR Cup Series starts to his credit, with his most recent coming in 2014.

On the Truck: The No. 40 Chevrolet will carry Marquis and Make-A-Wish colors at Richmond Raceway.

In celebration of 900 wishes granted in partnership with Make-A-Wish®, the Marquis® No. 40 Chevrolet will bear the names of all 900 wish kids—from Andrea to Viera—on the truck bed. Over 20 years ago, Andrea’s wish for a hot tub inspired the enduring partnership between Marquis and Make-A-Wish. Andrea’s signature graces both doors, and eight-year-old Viera’s wish marks this 900th milestone. In honor of World Wish Day on April 29th, please donate at wish.org/promotions.
