Tanner Gray, No. 15 Ford Performance F-150

Tanner Gray will be making his first start at Texas Motor Speedway Saturday in the Vankor 350. Although he has never raced at Texas, he has six starts in the NASCAR Gander RV & Outdoors Truck Series on mile-and-a-half tracks. His best finish came earlier this season at Las Vegas (Nev.) Motor Speedway when he crossed the finish line eighth. He also finished ninth last weekend in the rain-shortened race at Kentucky Speedway in Sparta.

Gray’s crew chief, Shane Wilson, will also be a valuable asset to the rookie at Texas. Wilson has two NASCAR Xfinity Series wins in the Lone Star State with Kevin Harvick in 2006 and 2007. He also swept four Truck Series races in a row at Texas from 2002 to 2003 with Brendan Gaughan.

The DGR-Crosley team is taking a new Ford Performance
F-150 this weekend. The truck was raced last year, but was rebuilt in the off season and it will be the first time Gray has raced it this year.

The Vankor 350 from Texas Motor Speedway will be run on Saturday, July 18. The race will go green at 8:00 p.m. ET, with a live broadcast on FS1. The 167-lap race will be broken into three segments with stage-ending cautions on laps 40 and 80.

Gray on Texas: “I”m really looking forward to racing in Texas Saturday. I feel really good about our performance in Kentucky last weekend, so I’m hoping we’ve reached a turning point. Our Ford Performance F-150 was fast at Kentucky from the start. We didn’t have to make any major adjustments. I wish we could have finished the race before it rained. Hopefully Texas will go the same way and we can unload fast and spend the race running up front instead of coming up from the back.”

Todd Gilliland, No. 38 Speedco Ford F-150

You know your season is going well when you are disappointed with a 10th-place finish. That was Todd Gilliland’s feeling last weekend when rain ended the race at Kentucky Speedway in Sparta after only the second stage. Gilliland was 10th at the time and wanted to keep racing to see how well he could finish in his No. 38 Speedco Ford F-150. Although Mother Nature did not cooperate with his plans, this Saturday Gilliland will be able to race at Texas Motor Speedway, a track where he has quite a bit of experience, for a 20-year-old.

He has four previous starts in the Lone Star State. He won the pole there last June, but finished 27th after an accident. His best finish of fourth came in the fall race in 2018. Gilliland nearly got his first Truck Series win in that race. He was leading on the final lap when he ran out of fuel, handing the win to Justin Haley.

The Front Row Motorsports team will be taking the same Ford F-150 it raced at Las Vegas (Nev.) Motor Speedway in February and finished seventh. This truck also competed at Homestead-Miami (Fla.) Speedway in June where Gilliland finished sixth.

Speedco, part of the Love’s family of companies, will be back on Gilliland’s No. 38 Ford F-150 at Texas. Love’s provides professional truck drivers and motorists with 24-hour access to clean and safe places to purchase gasoline, diesel fuel, fresh coffee, restaurant offerings and more. Love’s has more than 380 truck service centers, which include on-site and stand-alone Speedco and Love’s Truck Care locations. Love’s and Speedco combined is the largest oil change, preventive maintenance and total truck care nationwide network. Love’s is committed to providing customers with “Clean Places, Friendly Faces” at every stop. To learn more, visit loves.com.

The No. 38 Speedco Ford F-150 will compete in the 167-lap Vankor 350 on Saturday, July 18, at 8:00 p.m. ET. A live broadcast of the race will be shown on FS1. Stage ending breaks will be on laps 40 and 80.

    Quick Facts:
Number of Starts at Texas: 4
    Best Start: 1st (2019)
    Best Finish: 4th (2018)
    2020 Driver Point Standings: 7th

Gilliland on Texas: “Racing at Texas is a lot of fun and I think we’ll have a fast Speedco Ford F-150 Saturday. My Front Row Motorsports team brings fast trucks to the track every week. Last weekend at Kentucky was disappointing that we didn’t get to finish the race before it rained, but we’ll have another chance this weekend. I’ve had some good runs at Texas and almost got my first win there back in 2018, until I ran out of fuel while leading the last lap of the race. I even had my high school graduation there back in 2018, so I look forward to every race at Texas.”

KDI Office Technology, Dover International Speedway agree to five-year title sponsor agreement for NASCAR Gander RV & Outdoors Truck Series races

DOVER, Del. (July 14, 2020) – KDI Office Technology and Dover International Speedway have reached a five-year partnership for title sponsorship for NASCAR Gander RV & Outdoors Truck Series races through 2024, track officials said today.

The first race under this extended agreement comes on Friday, Aug. 21 with the “KDI Office Technology 200” NASCAR Gander RV & Outdoors Truck Series race.

KDI, a longtime Dover partner, is also the official and exclusive business solutions provider to the Monster Mile and gained naming rights to the track’s Infield Media Center in 2018.

“Dover Motorsports and NASCAR have been tremendous partners with KDI,” said Rick Salcedo, KDI President and CEO. “We are very proud Dover relies on us for all of their office technology needs. Our relationship has grown over the years and our clients, prospective clients, and even their families have been the beneficiary of unique, up close and personal experiences. Last year, a client waived the green flag, and another announced ‘Drivers, start your engines’ on live TV. The roar of NASCAR in August can’t get here soon enough. We look forward to many more years of working closely with the fantastic Dover team.”

KDI Office Technology is the fastest growing independent office technology provider in the mid-Atlantic region. The family-owned company has seven locations in Delaware, New Jersey and Pennsylvania.

We look forward to continued success in the future with KDI.”

Speedway officials remain in consultation with local, state and federal health officials on whether fans will be allowed in the stands with appropriate social distancing for the August events. New fan procedures would include distancing in grandstands and concession lines, enhanced cleaning in high-traffic areas, added hand sanitizer stations and infield access limited to race team and track personnel only. Follow Speedway news and updates on DoverSpeedway.com and keep track of the latest announcements via social media at Facebook.com/DoverInternationalSpeedway, or on Twitter and Instagram at @MonsterMile.

The “KDI Office Technology 200” NASCAR Gander RV & Outdoors Truck Series race on Aug. 21 (5 p.m., FS1) is part of Dover International Speedway’s unprecedented six-race Aug. 21-23 NASCAR weekend, beginning with the “General Tire 125” ARCA Menards Series East race at 2 p.m. on Aug. 21.

Spencer Boyd Asks NASCAR Fans to Nominate their Hero for ‘Bucks for the Brave’

Concord, NC (July 13, 2020) – The long-time partner of Spencer Boyd, Record Rack® premium wildlife feed (brand owned by Cargill, Inc.), is encouraging nominations of heroes to attend their annual Bucks for the Brave charitable event. This contest allows you to nominate Veterans (no longer serving) and retired First Responders (Law Enforcement, Firefighters and EMTs) to win the hunting experience of a lifetime.

“This event is near and dear to my heart,” reflected Spencer Boyd. “It will be my third year attending Bucks for the Brave and I expect to be humbled yet again by the winners and their stories. Record Rack has been a partner for many years, but this is the first time we’ve had Bucks for the Brave on the truck. I truly want all NASCAR fans to nominate their hero to say thank you especially in these times we’re in now.”

Bucks for the Brave is an all-expense paid trip that will take place Veteran’s Day Weekend, November 11-15, 2020. The event will take place at Trinity Oaks’ Thumbtack Ranch in Batesville, TX, which is the only nationally recognized Purple Heart Ranch in the United States. One winner from each of our eight categories will be chosen: Air Force Veteran, Army Veteran, Coast Guard Veteran, Marine Corps Veteran, Navy Veteran, Retired Firefighter, Retired Law Enforcement and Retired EMT.

Wildlife Marketing Lead, Jodi Cornelison said, “The men and women that served in our armed forces, and as first responders, had jobs that required them to be willing to sacrifice their own lives every day in order to protect or save someone else’s. Not many of us can say that, nor truly understand the impact it has on them and their families’ lives. We want to honor and recognize these heroes by sharing their stories, and provide them the chance for this once in a lifetime experience. Spencer has been so gracious with his time over the years to help recognize these men and women for their service and sacrifices. We can’t wait to see this patriotic truck making laps at Texas Motor Speedway.”

A long list of great supporters is joining Spencer and Sportman’s Choice® & Record Rack feeds for Bucks for the Brave. Music legend Ted Nugent, Outdoor Industry icon Keith Warren, Bullfighter Shorty Gorham, and many other celebrities are supporting the event. Corporate partners are uniting in this effort as well – Bradshaw Bourbon, Black Gold® Pet Food, Tarter Farm & Ranch Equipment®, Wrangler® National Patriot™, Tactical Intent®, Hunt’n Buddy®, Texas Deer Association, MyPillow®, Wrangler Network®, RFD-TV®, Cowboy Channel®, Cowboy Lifestyle Network and AE Engine.

“I’m grateful that I get an opportunity to hang out with these true American heroes,” said Spencer Boyd. “These men and women are the ones that give us the freedoms that allow me to be a race car driver. The Bucks for the Brave event will be a great way to wrap up the weirdest NASCAR season ever.”

Record Rack’s Bucks for the Brave No. 20 Chevrolet Silverado will head to Young’s Motorsports home state of Texas on Saturday, July 18. The NASCAR Gander RV & Outdoors Truck Series Vankor 350 at Texas Motor Speedway can be seen live on FS1 or heard on the Motor Racing Network or Sirius XM Radio Channel 90 beginning at 8:00pm ET.

    TOYOTA QUOTES

AUSTIN HILL, No. 16 AISIN Group Toyota Tundra, Hattori Racing Enterprises

    Finishing Position: 5th

Another top five finish for you tonight, Austin. Talk about the finish.

“Coming into tonight, we tried a different package than we have ever ran in the past. Last year, we struggled here at Kentucky, and in years past they have also struggled in Kentucky as well. Coming in here we didn’t really know what we were going to have. We tried a total different setup with no practice. We just kind of swung for the fence. From my point, we were really good. We started off a little on the free side and then as the run went on through stage one, it got tight. So during the first stage break, we tried to stay in front of the race track and free it up. During that second stage, I thought we made some really good adjustments. I actually thought we had a really good shot at winning the race tonight if we could have got a little more track position. I felt like our truck could get through traffic a little bit better than most of the other trucks. All-in-all, we are consistent. I’ll take a P5 and go on to Texas and try to get a win there. I’m itching really bad for a win with how good our season has been and how good we are running each and every week. I know the wins will come. I just have to be patient. Just keep digging — keep fighting hard. Everybody on our AISIN Group Toyota Tundra did a heck of a job today coming to the track with no practice, with a brand new setup and being that fast off of the truck. It just goes to show how good everybody at HRE (Hattori Racing Enterprises) and Scott (Zipadelli, crew chief) and all the guys are at making these things really good off the trailer.”

CHRISTIAN ECKES, No. 18 Safelite Auto Glass Toyota Tundra, Kyle Busch Motorsports

    Finishing Position: 6th

    How was your race today?

“Finished in the sixth position today. I felt like we had a Tundra that could have contended for the win today. Obviously the 2 (Sheldon Creed) truck was good and congrats to him, he’s one of my good friends so that was cool to see. Just wish we could have fired back off. I don’t think I’ve ever been that excited to get back in my truck. Just unfortunately Mother Nature wasn’t agreeing with us. It was a good day and something we can definitely build on. We were able to minimize mistakes. The whole Safelite team did a great job and brought me a great truck. We’ll move on to Texas and it’s going to be a challenging one with the boss there, but hopefully we can go and get a win there.”

DEREK KRAUS, No. 19 ENEOS Toyota Tundra, McAnally-Hilgemann Racing

    Finishing Position: 8th

You started from the back and drove all the way to the top 10. Talk about your run tonight.

“Yeah, we had a pretty good ENEOS Tundra. We started in the back and we were able to make our way up to eighth in that first stage. Then, we came in and had a good pit stop. We came out 12th and were able to get back to eighth again at the end of the second stage. We had a really good truck tonight, and I really wish we could have got going again, but coming home eighth isn’t that bad.”
