No. 15 Ford Performance F-150, Tanner Gray

Track: Atlanta Motor Speedway, 1.54-mile oval
    Race: 4 of 23
    Event: Vet Tix/Camping World 200 (200 miles, 130 laps)

    Schedule:
    Saturday, June 6
    1:00 p.m…..……..Race (FS1)
    (all times ET)

Tanner Gray, No. 15 Ford Performance F-150
The NASCAR Gander RV & Outdoors Truck Series is back in action this weekend. Tanner Gray and his No. 15 Ford Performance team will head to Atlanta (Ga.) Motor Speedway for the fourth race of the Truck Series season.

Saturday’s Vet Tix/Camping World 200 will mark the first time the 21-year-old Truck Series Rookie has competed on the worn-out surface of Atlanta Motor Speedway. Although Gray has no experience racing at Atlanta, the young driver has shown a knack for mile-and-a-half tracks. In February at Las Vegas (Nev.) Motor Speedway, Gray earned his first NASCAR national series top 10 after running inside the top five and even contesting for the lead in the latter stages of the race. He was running in the top 10 last week at Charlotte (N.C.) Motor Speedway when a transmission issue ruined his chance for a solid finish. Gray is making his presence known in his rookie campaign and looks to continue the positive momentum going into Atlanta this weekend.

The Vet Tix/Camping World 200 from Atlanta Motor Speedway will be run prior to the NASCAR XFINITY race on Saturday, June 6. The race will go green at 1:00 p.m., ET, with a live broadcast on FS1. The 130 lap race will be broken into three segments with stage-ending cautions on lap 30 and lap 60.

Gray on Atlanta: “I love racing on the mile-and-a-half tracks, and I’ve heard several drivers say that they really like Atlanta Motor Speedway and it’s worn-out surface. I’m excited to go there this weekend with our Ford Performance team. I’ve never been there, but I’ve been in the Ford simulator and reviewing a lot of film with my spotter to help prepare for Saturday’s race. We had a fast truck at Charlotte, but everything that could go wrong did go wrong. We turned around our Charlotte truck for Atlanta, so if we can avoid mistakes and bad luck we should be contenders.”

NGROTS Advance: Todd Gilliland – Atlanta Motor Speedway

Track: Atlanta Motor Speedway, 1.54-mile oval
    Race: 4 of 23
    Event: Vet Tix/Camping World 200 (200 miles, 130 laps)

    Schedule:
    Saturday, June 6

    (all times ET)
Todd Gilliland, No. 38 Mannington Commercial Ford F-150
Todd Gilliland and his No. 38 Front Row Motorsports (FRM) team will carry new colors this weekend at Atlanta (Ga.) Motor Speedway as the team welcomes Mannington Commercial, one of the world’s leading manufacturers of fine flooring, to the NASCAR Gander RV & Outdoors Truck Series.

With a newly structured schedule this season, the Truck Series will head to the one-and-a-half-mile track near Atlanta for the fourth race of the 2020 season. The No. 38 team has a best finish of seventh-place this year, which occurred at Las Vegas (Nev.) Motor Speedway in February. Gilliland and his FRM team have been strong contenders each race, running inside the top five and challenging for the lead multiple times. He was running fourth at Charlotte (N.C.) Motor Speedway last week when he was taken out of contention by an accident with 32 laps to go.

Gilliland has one previous start at Atlanta Motor Speedway, which occurred in 2019. The 20-year-old driver started the race from the 11th position and collected a ninth-place finish in his track debut last season. While Gilliland doesn’t have a lot of experience on the abrasive track in Atlanta, he has practiced on the Ford Performance simulator, as well as spent time with his spotter, Coleman Pressley, reviewing film in preparation for Saturday’s event.

The No. 38 Mannington Ford F-150 will compete in the 130-lap Vet Tix/Camping World 200 on Saturday, June 6, at 1:00 p.m., ET. A live broadcast of the race will be shown on FS1.

    Quick Facts:
Number of Starts at Atlanta: 1
    Best Start: 11th
    Best Finish: 9th
    2020 Driver Point Standings: 13th

Gilliland on Atlanta: “Overall, I’m excited for Atlanta this weekend. It’s one of the most fun mile-and-a-half race tracks that we go to because it has a very worn out surface. On top of the great racing it produces, there will be a few Cup Series drivers racing this weekend, which will help us put on an even better show for the fans. I’m really hoping that we have a good finish on Saturday for everyone working hard at Front Row Motorsports and for our new sponsor, Mannington Commercial. The truck looks great, and I want to give them a nice welcome to our team and the Truck Series. We’ve been strong in the races so far this season, but just don’t have the finishes to show how well we’ve been running.”

David Ragan to Pilot No. 17 Select Blinds Ford F-150 at Atlanta for DGR-Crosley

MOORESVILLE, N.C. (March 29, 2020) – DGR-Crosley announced today that veteran NASCAR Cup Series driver David Ragan would join the team for the upcoming NASCAR Gander RV & Outdoors Truck Series race at Atlanta (Ga.) Motor Speedway. Select Blinds, the leading online retailer of custom window coverings, will sponsor Ragan’s No. 17 Ford F-150 as the Truck Series makes up the rescheduled March race. Blake Bainbridge will be Ragan’s crew chief for the race.

Ragan, who retired from fulltime racing at the end of the 2019 season, will bring a wealth of knowledge to DGR-Crosley’s Driver Development program. The 34-year-old has over 13 years of Cup Series competition under his belt and has currently moved into a development role with Ford Performance, where he assists teams with simulator work and has a hand in developing the NextGen car that will come into play in 2022.

“I’m really looking forward to racing one of DGR-Crosley’s F-150’s at Atlanta,” said Ragan. “We were originally going to run the truck at Richmond (Va.) Raceway in April, but since that race was postponed, I wanted to return to my home state of Georgia with Select Blinds for this race.”

While Ragan has not competed in the NASCAR Gander RV & Outdoors Truck Series since 2006, he has an abundance of experience across all three of NASCAR’s national series, as well as 23 combined starts at Atlanta. Ragan’s most recent NASCAR start occurred in the Cup Series season opener at Daytona (Fla.) International Speedway where he earned a fourth-place finish driving for Rick Ware Racing with Select Blinds on his car. They first sponsored Ragan in 2019 when he was racing full-time for Front Row Motorsports. Now they will join him in the Truck Series with DGR-Crosley.

Select Blinds is the online home for all your window covering needs. The company offers child-safe cordless blinds to prevent injury along with a wide variety of blinds and shades for your home or business. Their online home makes it easy, affordable and secure for fans to purchase new window coverings.

“It’s been a long time since I’ve raced in the Truck Series, and I’m incredibly thankful to Select Blinds for supporting me and allowing me to do this,” remarked Ragan. “Atlanta has always been one of my favorite tracks since it’s my home track. Hopefully, we can get the folks from Select Blinds another good finish this year and put on a good show for the fans watching on television.”

  • Codie Rohrbaugh; CR7 Motorsports hope to continue early season Truck success at Charlotte

Codie Rohrbaugh; CR7 Motorsports hope to continue early season Truck success at Charlotte

CONCORD, N.C.: Codie Rohrbaugh and his CR7 Motorsports team come out of the COVID-19 NASCAR Gander RV & Outdoors Truck Series (NGROTS) hiatus looking to keep the team’s solid start to the 2020 season going in Tuesday night’s N.C. Education Lottery 200 at Charlotte (N.C.) Motor Speedway.

After tallying a career-best third place finish at Daytona (Fla.) International Speedway in February, the team produced another competitive run the following week at Las Vegas (Nev.) Motor Speedway with a respectable 18th-place performance.

Slated to enter the third race of the season at Atlanta (Ga.) Motor Speedway in March, the season was brought to a screeching halt – leaving the sport in a 70-day pause.

As the sport attempts to reboot the season, Charlotte is on deck and Rohrbaugh is ready to climb aboard his No. 9 Grant County Mulch Chevrolet Silverado and earn high praises.

“It feels like forever since we’ve been racing – but I’m glad we’ll be back in action on Tuesday night at Charlotte,” said Rohrbaugh. “It’s hard to imagine that we’re going back to the track without race fans, but I think the fans that will tune in and watch and listen will be rewarded with a great race.

“I like Charlotte a lot. It is a fast place where handling is critical and the draft offers opportunity and excitement. The guys on this CR7 Motorsports team have really been hustling the last few weeks to make sure our trucks are in good shape.”

Without the benefit of practice or qualifying because of the current NASCAR protocol, Rohrbaugh said he is glad he has turned laps around Charlotte’s 1.5-mile track.

“Going straight to race mode is pretty exhilarating, I haven’t done it very much,” Rohrbaugh added. “I’ve done it very few times but luckily I feel like I have a good baseline on where our trucks needs to be. My crew chief Doug (George) feels good about the setup and we’ll have a competition caution early in the race where we’ll be able to make more adjustments.
“The race will go by quickly, so we just need to make sure we keep making the adjustments and put ourselves in contention for a top-10 finish or better.”

After two races, Rohrbaugh stands 10th in the championship standings – and while his 2020 Truck Series schedule remains fluid, the team plans to run a majority of the season.

“It’s pretty cool to be sitting 10th in points heading to Charlotte,” sounded Rohrbaugh. “I wouldn’t be sitting where I am in points if it wasn’t for the guys on my CR7 Motorsports team.

“They have been through a lot and as a team we’ve only continued to make great strides with a focus on turning our program into a race-winning team. We’re getting close. We were almost there at Daytona. We’ll keep focused and see where the road takes us.”
By virtue of a qualifying draw, Rohrbaugh will start 31st for his 14th career NASCAR Gander RV & Outdoors Truck Series start.

Following Charlotte, CR7 Motorsports plans to return to the Truck Series scene at Atlanta on Sat., June 6, 2020.

CR7 Motorsports has 13 NGOTS starts to their credit with a career-best finish of third at Daytona (Fla.) International Speedway (February 2020). Additionally, the team owns another top-10 finish at Martinsville (Va.) Speedway in October 2019. An 11th place qualifying effort at Talladega (Ala.) Superspeedway (Oct. 2019) is the team’s best time trials effort to date.

In 20 career ARCA starts, Rohrbaugh has a best finish of seventh twice at Pocono (Pa.) Raceway (July 2018 and Daytona (Fla.) International Speedway (February 2019). He has qualified a career-best fourth on four different occasions most recently at Kansas Speedway (Oct. 2018).

Marketing partnership(s) opportunities are available for the No. 97 Grant County Mulch Chevrolet and No. 9 Grant County Mulch Chevrolet for the 2020 ARCA Menards Series and NASCAR Gander RV & Outdoors Truck Series seasons and beyond. Interested inquiries are encouraged to contact at tonya@gcmulch.com or 304.257.8783.

The N.C. Education Lottery 200 (134 laps| 201 miles) is the third of 23 NASCAR Gander RV & Outdoors Truck Series races on the 2020 schedule. The 40-truck field will take the green flag shortly after 8:00 p.m. with live coverage on FOX Sports 1 (FS1), the Motor Racing Network (Radio) and SiriusXM NASCAR Radio (Satellite Radio, Channel 90). All times are local (Eastern).

Diversified Motorsports Enterprises primed and ready for Truck Series return

CONCORD, N.C.: Nearly 10 weeks since the NASCAR Gander RV & Outdoors Truck Series season was halted because of the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic, the trucks will roar Tuesday night at Charlotte (N.C.) Motor Speedway in the N.C. Education Lottery 200.

Diversified Motorsports Enterprises, a new team owned by entrepreneur Logan Puckett will compete in its second Truck Series race of the season and looks to build on a solid showing in the season-opening race at Daytona (Fla.) International Speedway.

Teletrac Navman, a leading software-as-a-service (SaaS) provider leveraging location-based technology and services for managing mobile assets will return as the team’s primary marketing partner for the third Truck Series race of the season.“

“We feel very blessed to be getting back to the race track, even if the circumstances aren’t perfect,” offered Puckett, one of the youngest Truck Series owners in the garage. “Our team has methodically putting a plan together both short term and long term and we look forward to the chance to show how much heart and passion this team has on Tuesday night at Charlotte.”

With NASCAR’s NASCAR Gander RV & Outdoors Truck Series schedule still in limbo due to the coronavirus, Puckett is determined to keep his initial plans front and center – running a limited schedule this season in preparation for a heavy schedule next year.

“We’re building this team for the future and while our schedule may change a little depending on what venues are announced by NASCAR – we’re just excited to be at the race track and represent a great partner like Teletrac Navman.”

The good news for Puckett is driver Jesse Little has two prior Truck Series starts at Charlotte’s 1.5-mile speedway with two solid top-16 finishes, including a 14th place effort last May with his family-owned JJL Motorsports team.

With Little’s experience and the leadership of crew chief Bruce Cook, the Diversified Motorsports Enterprises team has high hopes for their second career Truck Series race.

“I’m looking forward to Charlotte,” said Little. “It feels like a year since I’ve been in a truck, but I’ve been keeping up with Bruce and the team and they’re excited to get back to the track and see what we can.

“Charlotte is a fun but tough race. The draft is so important and the trucks can get so loose, but it puts on a great show. And while I’m bummed that fans won’t be able to be in the stands on Tuesday night, I think they are really going to enjoy what they see.”

Before climbing aboard his No. 97 Teletrac Navman Chevrolet Silverado, Little will compete in Monday night’s Xfinity Series race at Charlotte where the track time should be beneficial for his DME team.

Because of the temporary COVID-19 protocols administrated to the race teams at Charlotte, there won’t be any practice or qualifying which will put Little directly into race mode which could be a benefit from his hopeful 300-miles of racing on May 25.

“It’s crazy to just jump in the truck and go race, but there’s also a fun send-it mode for the drivers,” added Little. “Luckily, I’ll have some laps from the Xfinity Series car on Monday night and hopefully what I learn from the track conditions and all can be a benefit to put our DME team in a position for a strong finish in our second race together.

“I can’t thank Logan, Bruce and Teletrac Navman again enough for the opportunity to drive.”

To show their support this Memorial Day weekend, Diversified Motorsports Enterprises will sport a redesign of their television panel giving thanks to the Armed Forces for their continued dedication to serve our country.

“We are proud to recognize the men and women of the Armed Forces on Tuesday night,” added Puckett.

“I’m surrounded by members of the military with family and friends and this was my way of showing my extreme gratitude to those brave men and women past, present and future for protecting our country so we can be at the race track!”

Following Charlotte, DME is hopeful to return to NASCAR Gander RV & Outdoors Truck Series competition at Atlanta (Ga.) Motor Speedway on Sat., June 6, 2020.
