New Look for Allgaier, No. 7 Team in Indianapolis

Veteran Driver to Showcase Precision Build Brand in Famed Road-Course Event

MOORESVILLE, N.C. (July 20, 2022) – Justin Allgaier’s No. 7 Chevrolet will be sporting a fresh look next weekend when the NASCAR Xfinity Series take to the road course at the hallowed Indianapolis Motor Speedway. Precision Build will be on board Allgaier’s Camaro in a co-branded effort with cornerstone partner BRANDT Professional Agriculture for the NXS event on July 30.

“We are thrilled to work with Justin and the JRM Team to build the Precision Build brand,” said David Hemming, CEO of Precision Build. “We had a race when we first formed Precision Build; this race will help us bring the cultures together while highlighting our relationship with BRANDT.”

Headquartered in Tampa, Fla., Precision Build is an integrative effort between companies Tampa Tank, Florida Structural Steel and Precision Tank. The combined company provides storage, structural steel and service solutions for both domestic and international markets.

This marks the second time that Precision Build will be featured on Allgaier’s Camaro. Previously, Allgaier ran the Precision Build colors to a third-place finish at Darlington Raceway in May of 2020.

“It is great to welcome back Precision Build to our No. 7 Chevrolet in Indy,” said Allgaier. “To see them return in this co-branded effort with BRANDT Professional Agriculture is really special, especially at a place as historic as Indianapolis. Hopefully we can keep the car clean all race long and be in contention for the win in the end.”

Allgaier, who currently sits second in the NXS Playoff Grid on the strength of his third win of the year this past weekend at New Hampshire Motor Speedway, has made two starts on the road course at Indianapolis, with a best finish of seventh coming in 2020. The Illinois native is a former winner at the facility, going to Victory Lane on the oval in 2018.

In addition to the new look of Allgaier’s No. 7 Chevrolet in Indianapolis, BRANDT Professional Agriculture will also again be featured on board the No. 88 Camaro of Nova Prata, Brazil native Miguel Paludo for the third time this season.

The BRANDT duo are set to take the green flag in the NXS event at Indianapolis on Saturday, July 30, at 3:30 p.m. ET on NBC, the Indianapolis Motor Speedway Radio Network and SiriusXM NASCAR Radio Channel 90.

    • At oval tracks measuring over 2 miles in length in the NXS, Mayer has earned one top-10 finish coming at Auto Club Speedway earlier this season.

    • Josh Berry has made one start at the “Tricky Triangle”, coming last season. Berry started 33rd and finished ninth.

    • In eight starts on tracks measuring over 2 miles in length, Berry has recorded two top fives and four top 10s while leading for 33 laps.

    • The JRM driver currently sits second in the NXS Playoff Grid with eight races remaining in the regular season, 16 points out of the series lead.

    Driver Quotes

“Pocono was the first track I raced at after turning 18 and joining the Xfinity Series. I thought it went all right but it definitely could have been better. I’ve gone back to watch some film and I’m ready for this weekend. I’m looking forward to hopefully having this Accelerate Professional Talent Solutions Chevrolet battling for a win when it comes down to it. We have to turn our luck around and that starts this weekend.” – Sam Mayer

“We’ve had some solid runs at Pocono over the last couple of years and I see no reason why we can’t have that same kind of speed again this weekend when we unload with our Hellmann’s Chevrolet. Pocono is definitely a place that I have always enjoyed coming to, especially with how different each of the three corners are. Hopefully we can have another strong day on Saturday and be in contention for the win. We are ready to get there and see what we can do.” – Justin Allgaier

“Pocono is a track that I really like racing on. I took to it pretty quickly last season and I can’t wait to get back there with this Tire Pros team. They’ve been building fast cars each week and we’ve been in the sim making sure I am ready for when we hit the track. It’s time to turn this momentum back around and start gearing up for a run towards the playoffs.” – Josh Berry

“This Bass Pro Shops/TrueTimber/Black Rifle Coffee Chevrolet has been fast at Pocono and we’ve finished well there, too. It’s a unique challenge, with the three different corners, but Luke (Lambert, crew chief) and the No. 9 team have been up to the challenge all year long. It’s go-time now, because the playoffs aren’t that far away, and Pocono is a good place to get the push started.”– Noah Gragson

    Riley Herbst Notes of Interest

    • As the NASCAR Xfinity Series prepares for Saturday’s Explore The Pocono Mountains 225 at Pocono (Pa.) Raceway, Riley Herbst has only one thing on his mind – winning. The driver of the No. 98 Monster Energy Ford Mustang for Stewart-Haas Racing has two prior Xfinity Series starts at Pocono, earning a best finish of ninth during his rookie season in 2020. With a strong 2022 campaign that has resulted in five top-five and 12 top-10 finishes in the 18 races run so far, Herbst aims to bolster those numbers in the best way possible – by securing his first career Xfinity Series win.

    • Herbst has won at Pocono before. In his first race on the 2.5-mile triangle on June 9, 2017, Herbst scored his first ARCA Menards Series victory. He led a race-high 45 laps to take the win by 1.735 seconds over runner-up Brandon Jones. It was a prelude of more potent Pocono runs. In Herbst’s return to Pocono two months later for the August ARCA race, he finished second. Back-to-back fifth-place finishes were earned in his two Pocono ARCA races in 2018. And in his last ARCA start at Pocono in May 2019, Herbst finished second after leading a race-high 68 laps. Herbst has never finished outside the top-five in an ARCA race at Pocono.

    • The Explore The Pocono Mountains 225 will mark Herbst’s 95th career Xfinity Series start and his third at Pocono. In total, he has 14 top-fives and 46 top-10s dating back to his first career start on June 17, 2018, at Iowa Speedway in Newton, where he finished an impressive sixth as a 19-year-old. His best career Xfinity Series result is second, earned twice – Feb. 29, 2020 at Auto Club Speedway in Fontana, California, and July 9, 2020 at Kentucky Speedway in Sparta.

    • Herbst drives for the team that has won two of the past three Xfinity Series races at Pocono. Stewart-Haas Racing won the 2019 race with Cole Custer and the 2020 race with Chase Briscoe. Both drivers are now competing in the NASCAR Cup Series, with Custer moving up in 2020 and Briscoe moving up in 2021. Custer was the 2020 Cup Series Rookie of the Year and Briscoe secured the 2021 Cup Series Rookie of the Year title. Both have won in Cup too – Custer on July 12, 2020 at Kentucky and Briscoe on March 13, 2022 at Phoenix Raceway.

    • Eight races remain before the Xfinity Series Playoffs kick off on Sept. 24 at Texas Motor Speedway in Fort Worth. Thanks to his strong runs this season, Herbst is in a good position to make the 12-driver field. He is currently ninth with 493 points, 132 points ahead of Brandon Brown, the first driver below the cutoff line. While a win would clinch a playoff spot for Herbst, the 23-year-old racer can continue to point his way into the playoffs by scoring stage points and earning more top-fives and top-10s through the final regular-season race Sept. 16 at Bristol (Tenn.) Motor Speedway.

Riley Herbst, Driver of the No. 98 Monster Energy Ford Mustang

You were en route to another top-10 finish last Saturday at New Hampshire when you got collected in a multi-car accident. Next up is Pocono, a track where you have a history of front-running consistency. When you endure adversity like you did at New Hampshire, how welcoming is it for your next race to be at a track where you have a significant amount of experience?

“We have to leave the bad runs behind us. We got caught up in an unfortunate situation at New Hampshire, but we had a strong run going and probably would’ve earned another top-10 if that hadn’t happened. It’s behind us, though. I know this team can win. We just have to stay out of trouble. The SHR Xfinity program has been strong at Pocono. I’ve also had good runs there in ARCA, so I’m excited to head back and see what we can do.”

Pocono is the site of your first ARCA win. How significant was that victory to your racing career?

“It was a big moment for me. That was my first full-time season in the ARCA Menards Series and to get my first win in just my sixth start, it was big. That whole season jumpstarted my career and helped me get to where I am today in the Xfinity Series. It would be awesome to also get my first Xfinity win at the same track.”

The Xfinity Series Playoffs are just around the corner. Despite last week’s misfortune, you still have a significant buffer over the 12-driver cutoff line. What is your strategy as you head into the final eight races of the regular season?

“The goal is to be consistent and win. We can obviously lock ourselves in with a win, but we need to stay out of trouble and finish the races. Last weekend was a great example of never knowing what’s going to happen around you. Bad luck hit us, but we can always bounce back. Luckily, we have some good tracks coming up and I’m confident that we can compete for wins at some of them. We still have a good points cushion, but we can’t let our guard down.”

  • Allgaier Escapes Carnage-Filled Crayon 200 to Claim Victory

Allgaier Escapes Carnage-Filled Crayon 200 to Claim Victory

Justin Allgaier earned not only his first victory at New Hampshire, but also the first for team owner Dale Earnhardt Jr.

LOUDON, N.H. – It was a tale of two halves at the Crayon 200 at New Hampshire Motor Speedway (NHMS) to kick off Doubleheader Saturday at “The Magic Mile.” Ultimately, JR Motorsports’ Justin Allgaier survived a wild afternoon of NASCAR Xfinity Series (NXS) action to claim his third victory in the last eight races and his first ever at NHMS.

Early in the race, it appeared that Joe Gibbs Racing, which had won six consecutive NXS races at NHMS, was destined to continue its recent dominance as hot shoe Ty Gibbs blistered the pavement to pace the field in his No. 54 Toyota Supra for much of the opening two stages. But an equipment failure at the end of stage two relegated Gibbs to a 23rd place finish.

The second 100 laps were marred by six cautions for 38 laps, bunching up the field and opening the door for a number of other drivers, including Allgaier, Landon Cassill and Josh Berry to battle for the lead. In the closing laps, Allgaier proved he had the car to beat, leading 47 of the final 49 circuits to claim the checkered flag ahead of Trevor Bayne and Cassill.

“We finished second last year, and I told the guys this week I wanted to win,” Allgaier said. “I just felt like all day I wasn’t doing a good job. It takes a team, and the guys kept me calm and gave me good pit stops.”

The win was not only Allgaier’s first visit to victory lane at NHMS, but the first for team owner Dale Earnhardt Jr.

“I’ve never been in that victory lane before in my life, and so, it’s pretty cool,” Earnhardt said. “It was a crazy up and down race. One minute your heart is in the gutter, and then at the end of the race, you’re as happy as you can possibly be at a racetrack. It’s a rollercoaster for sure.”

For Trevor Bayne, the runner-up finish marked just his sixth start in the series this season. Despite the part-time schedule, Bayne felt he had a car capable of winning at the 1.058-mile NHMS.

“This is the second time I’ve run second to him in two races,” Bayne said. “On the restarts, it was chaos – people missing shifts and putting you four-wide. If we could get there, I felt like we had a chance. It used to be ‘second is a great day,’ but we’ve been knocking on the door so much, we just want a win.”

In her NXS debut, Julia Landauer finished 38th after a crash on lap 90. Hometown favorite Derek Griffith finished 20th.

During pre-race, Crayon CEO Justin Henriksen announced Crayon will be the entitlement sponsor for next season’s NASCAR Cup Series (NCS) race, the Crayon 301, at “The Magic Mile.”

Cassill and Noah Gragson were disqualified following post-race inspection.

Sheldon Creed and the No. 2 Whelen Chevrolet Team Ran Up Front, Captured Top 10 at New Hampshire

    Finish: 7th
    Start: 18th
    Points: 14th

“I think today’s run is certainly a momentum boost for everyone on the Whelen team. We’ve had the speed to do that or at least the potential and I’ve kept confidence in our guys. I could fire off and go fast for a few laps, but our Whelen Chevrolet was really loose. I just tried to build into the race and learn what the car wanted and needed and that I needed to do better behind the wheel. I felt like we had a really smooth day. I learned some things on restarts to better ourselves for the end and I thought we did a really good job with that. We’ve really closed the gap on the short track stuff because we’ve struggled there this season. It was great to see so many people from Whelen here today.” -Sheldon Creed

Austin Hill and the No. 21 Bennett Transportation & Logistics Chevrolet Team Take Home Solid Top-10 Finish at New Hampshire Motor Speedway

    Finish: 9th
    Start: 15th
    Points: 6th

“It’s nice to walk away from today’s race with a top-10 finish for our team. We didn’t practice or qualify very well at all but were able to rebound today during the race. We had a lot of great strategy, I thought, but it all just didn’t come together completely at the end. I had really good drive during the first run but needed to be just a little bit freer. My team made some really good adjustments but I just lost some of that drive. We had a lot of cautions come out and the dirty air was just so hard on us. Our No. 21 Bennett Transportation and Logistics Chevrolet Camaro was really good, we just needed a little bit more there at the end. We stayed in it all day and even ran in the top five for a little bit. Overall, it was a decent day for us. I’m looking forward to getting to Pocono next weekend.” -Austin Hill

Challenging Day at New Hampshire for Toyota GR Supras

LOUDON, N.H. (July 16, 2022) – Trevor Bayne scored another second-place result in Saturday afternoon’s NASCAR Xfinity Series race at New Hampshire Motor Speedway. With his limited race schedule this season, Bayne is knocking on the door of a victory in his Joe Gibbs racing GR Supra. TOYOTA QUOTES

TREVOR BAYNE, No. 18 Devotion Nutrition Toyota GR Supra, Joe Gibbs Racing

    Finishing Position: 2nd

    How was your race overall?

“Congratulations to (Justin) Allgaier again. This is the second time I’ve run second to him – Nashville and here. Our car was good, but as the grip compound wore out of the race track, I feel like we got behind early in the race and actually got free in the second run, late in the run and took us a while to get it back. Felt like we gave up some in the short run speed there. On restarts, it was chaos. That’s why my car looks the way it does. People missing shifts and putting us four wide. I think if we could have got there or been up front a little sooner, I think we had a shot. Allgaier was just a little better on that short run.”

How did you feel about your speed today?

“I’m just so ready to win one of these things and we’re knocking on the door so much. We just want to win.”

How did the track change during the race?

“The track really changed a lot throughout the day today. The grip compound that they didn’t reapply really wore out throughout the course of the race. We learned that the first run, I was running the top leading and then I just got really loose. We needed some short run speed for sure and track position. Once we got pinned back, these restarts were just nuts. Four and five wide, missing shifts, it’s really hard to fight back. I think if it just went green after stage two, we could have gotten back up there. Allgaier was really good on the short run and that’s where he beat us at. Maybe if we had a 90-lap green flag run, we could have gotten up there with them. We’re just frustrated, but it’s good to be frustrated with second. I feel like we’re so close to winning and I just want to get my kids a trophy. We’re so close to doing it. We’ve to two races left to do it and I’d love to get them in victory lane.

BRANDON JONES, No. 19 Menards/Watts Toyota GR Supra, Joe Gibbs Racing

    Finishing Position: 30th

What took you out of the race today?

“I just hate this for everyone. I know we had a lot of guests that came by today and not really the race that I was thinking we were going to have. This track has changed a lot since he last time we were here. Totally different line that you have to run on. Just kind of got tagged from behind there. I knew that last restart we had was pretty important to try to get some track position. The guy in front of me kind of looked like he had axel issues so I was going to try to climb back to the inside lane. It never really worked out for our Menards GR Supra.”

How was your race going overall today?

“Today was kind of a tough day for us. I really thought we were going to have more speed than we truly did in this race. Put us in bad spots really all day and never really could get on offense because of that. Had to play too much defense. Then there at the end just got tagged and didn’t really see or know who got me. Obviously, couldn’t see what happened. I saw a couple guys come together in front of me. I never saw anybody on my side. All in all, tough day, but thankfully we haven’t had too many of these this year. We’ll get this Menards GR Supra ready for next week.”

    Notes of Interest:

Welcome Back: This weekend at New Hampshire Motor Speedway, SS GreenLight Racing with Jeff Lefcourt and Joe Graf Jr. welcome back G-Coin as the primary partner of the team’s No. 07 Ford Mustang for Saturday afternoon’s Crayon 200.

New Hampshire marks the 18th race of the 2022 Xfinity Series season and 12th race overall between 2021 and 2022 where G-Coin, a product that brings gold into the digital age, making it accessible and giving it true utility will be the primary partner.

Download the G-Coin app on iTunes or Google Play and use referral code FHY 6D3 AHT and Joe Graf Jr. will send you $5 worth of G-Coin.

About G-Coin: Unlike cryptocurrencies, G-Coin is a digital title to a real asset: 1 G-Coin token equals 1 gram of Responsible GoldTM.

G-Coin combines the best qualities of traditional gold – stability, security, value, confidence, and social status – with the benefits of digital innovation, allowing users to easily save, send, and spend gold.

Tech-savvy investors keen to avoid cryptocurrency volatility, or physical storage burden and costs, are now able to purchase G-Coin digital gold tokens. G-Coin tokens can be purchased in increments of 0.01gram, giving individual investors better access to the gold market and the ability to use gold for day-to-day purchases.

G-Coin Wallets give users the freedom to send and receive value instantly, securely, and at no cost from the convenience of your mobile phone.

G-Coin Tip of the Week: Responsible Gold is institutional grade 99.99% pure gold that has been responsibly sourced.

Responsible Gold can be traced back to its origin giving the owner or G-Coin token holder knowledge that it has been responsibly mined and sourced throughout the supply chain.

Same Day Settlements With MoneyGram: G-Coin customers with Tier 3 access can use cash to buy or sell G-Coin tokens at participating MoneyGram locations.

To place a buy or sell order using cash, Tier 3 customers need to select the ‘MoneyGram’ option from ‘Pay With’ that appears on the buy | sell screen. Once the order is placed, customers will receive an email with detailed instructions to follow at participating MoneyGram locations.

For buy orders, customers will have 24 hours to make the payment in cash, which is when the balance on the G-Coin wallet is updated. Buy orders expire after 24 hours so customers will need to place a new order after that time.

For sell orders, customers are responsible for collecting the proceeds of the sale in cash at participating MoneyGram locations. The G-Coin balance will be updated when the sell order has been placed, which is irreversible.

    Joe Graf Jr. Pre-Race Quotes:

On New Hampshire Motor Speedway: “After the frustrating race last Saturday at Atlanta Motor Speedway, our team heads to New Hampshire Motor Speedway hoping to turn the tide and have a good finish with our No. 07 G-Coin Ford Mustang.

“New Hampshire is a very flat race track where passing can be difficult, especially if you do not have a well-balanced race car. I know Joe (Williams, crew chief) has worked hard on getting our car ready for the race and I believe we can have a productive practice and qualifying session and with a little luck we can contend for a top-20 finish or better on Saturday afternoon.”

On Goals For Second Half of 2022: “We made some strides during the first half of the 2022 NASCAR Xfinity Series season but there is certainly room for improvement.

“We have showcased a lot of speed throughout the season so far, but our second half of the year is focused on execution. If we can continue to carry that speed and follow through with the execution – we should be able to turn some heads with some strong and solid finishes.”

    Riley Herbst Notes of Interest

    • Riley Herbst and the No. 98 Monster Energy team of Stewart-Haas Racing are riding a wave of consistency heading into Saturday’s Crayon 200 NASCAR Xfinity Series race at New Hampshire Motor Speedway in Loudon. They head to the Granite State on a three-race top-10 streak that began with a third-place finish June 25 at Nashville (Tenn.) Superspeedway followed by a seventh-place drive July 2 at Road America in Elkhart Lake, Wisconsin, and then a ninth-place result last Saturday at Atlanta Motor Speedway.

    • The Crayon 200 will mark Herbst’s 94th career Xfinity Series start. In total, he has 14 top-fives and 46 top-10s dating back to his first career start on June 17, 2018, at Iowa Speedway in Newton, where he finished an impressive sixth as a 19-year-old. While he has just one previous Xfinity Series start at New Hampshire, which resulted in a 10th-place finish last July, he has two NASCAR K&N Pro Series East starts at the 1.058-mile oval, finishing fourth in 2018 and sixth in 2019.

    • Only nine races remain until the Xfinity Series Playoffs kick off Sept. 24 at Texas Motor Speedway in Fort Worth, and Herbst finds himself in solid position to make the 12-driver field. He is currently ninth with 582 points, 141 ahead of Anthony Alfredo, who is the first driver below the cutoff line. A win would clinch a spot for Herbst, but the 23-year-old racer from Las Vegas can also point his way in by continuing his string of strong finishes through the final regular-season race Sept. 16 at Bristol (Tenn.) Motor Speedway.

    • Herbst is on track to have a career year in the NASCAR Xfinity Series. In the 17 races run this season, Herbst has earned five top-fives and 12 top-10s, and has finished all but two races. He’s already matched his career-high total of top-fives in a season, first earned last year, and he’s only five top-10s away from matching his career high of 17 in that category as well, which he accomplished in 2020. He’s still in search of his first Xfinity Series victory, but he’s been knocking on the door this season with a pair of third-place finishes – May 7 at Darlington (S.C.) Raceway and June 25 at Nashville.

    • SHR has contested five Xfinity Series races at New Hampshire and never finished outside the top-10. Herbst scored the organization’s most recent top-10 last July. In 2019, Chase Briscoe drove the No. 98 Ford Mustang to a sixth-place finish at New Hampshire. Cole Custer made the other three starts at the 1.058-mile oval between 2017-2019, with a best result of second in 2019 wheeling SHR’s No. 00 Ford Mustang.

Riley Herbst, Driver of the No. 98 Monster Energy Ford Mustang

You’ve been on a strong run ever since the Xfinity Series returned to racing June 25 at Nashville following a two-week break. Did that time off help you and the No. 98 Monster Energy team regroup as you head into these final races before the playoffs begin?

“That two-week break was something we all needed. Those final two races before that were not our best, so I think it was just time to regroup and strategize about what we needed to do to not only make the playoffs, but win. While we weren’t traveling, the entire No. 98 team was working and preparing for that first race back at Nashville. I can’t thank the guys enough for their hard work each and every week.”

While you only have one Xfinity Series start at New Hampshire, you have two starts there in the NASCAR K&N Pro Series East, and both resulted in top-six finishes. Is New Hampshire another track that fits your driving style?

“I like New Hampshire and I feel I’ve been able to perform well there, but I enjoy going to a lot of different tracks. You can be successful anywhere, and I’ll put in the same amount of work as I do when it’s a track that’s more difficult for me. With that said, I’m excited to head to New Hampshire and have a good weekend there. I think it’s another strong track where we can contend for the win.”

You have a comfortable cushion in the current playoff standings as you’re 141 points above the top-12 cutoff line. What’s the strategy as you head into these final nine races of the regular season?

“The ultimate goal is to win and lock in our spot, but we also have to be conscious that we’re in a good spot to make it on points. It’s all about balancing when to take risks and when to go for points. I feel like we’ll have chances in these final nine races to go for the win, but we also have to be smart about keeping our point advantage. There are still positions to gain in front of us, so it’s really all about strategy. I think Richard (Boswell, crew chief) is really good about knowing when to go for it and when to play it safe.”

    Driver Quotes

“Last year New Hampshire didn’t go as planned for this team but I know when we unload on Friday that we will have a fast Accelerate Professional Talent Solutions Chevrolet. Taylor (Moyer, crew chief) and this team have been working extremely hard to make sure we are ready. Hopefully we can turn things around and fight for the win.” – Sam Mayer

“We had a great run last year at New Hampshire, and I feel extremely confident that we will back that up again this weekend with our BRANDT Professional Agriculture Chevrolet. New Hampshire has always been a challenging race track but everyone back at JR Motorsports has been working hard to give us another strong car this weekend.” – Justin Allgaier

“I’m ready to get to New Hampshire this weekend with our Tire Pros team. We had a pretty good run last year and we’ve been in the sim making sure we are ready when we get there on Friday. It’s a place that races like a short track with the tight turns so it’ll be nice to get back to this style of track.” – Josh Berry

“New Hampshire is like a really fast Martinsville, and we’re good at Martinsville, so this No. 9 Bass Pro/TrueTimber/Black Rifle Coffee team is looking forward to it. We just have to reset a little bit after the past couple of races and get back to what we were doing. We’re in good shape playoff-wise, and we need to ramp up for the run to the playoffs.”– Noah Gragson

“New Hampshire is a track that I ran really well at early on in my career but have struggled a bit recently. This was a track that I decided from the start of the season that I wanted to focus on and really improve at this year. Being able to be back with JRM this weekend in the Xfinity car gives me a good opportunity to do exactly that. I’m optimistic for what this weekend holds.” – William Byron
