NFL’s Antonio Williams Joins fgrACCEL, Continues Investment with Joe Graf Jr. in 2022

NFL’s Antonio Williams Joins fgrACCEL, Continues Investment with Joe Graf Jr. in 2022

MOORESVILLE, N.C.: National Football League (NFL) player and Buffalo Bills running back Antonio Williams burst onto the NASCAR scene last February in a strategic partnership with NASCAR Xfinity Series driver Joe Graf Jr.

On Friday, Williams expanded his involvement in NASCAR. He has expanded his investment into Graf’s racing platform – in addition to joining fgrACCEL, a full-service sports marketing and management agency where Williams will serve as director of business development.

A friendship that was sparked through fgrACCEL’s Nate Blasdell, Williams will continue to work with Graf to expand his current relationships in the sport, while also working to continue bringing new interest to not only Graf but the growing list of fgrACCEL clients.

Williams, 24, will be heavily involved in fgrACCEL’s day-to-day business interactions, while also planning to increase his at-track presence throughout the season, including attending next month’s season-opener at Daytona (Fla.) International Speedway.

Williams is also the managing partner of Ancient World Gaming, a professional eSports and Entertainment team.

“Antonio has already been an incredible asset to our team and will showcase even more with his new position at fgrACCEL,” said April Wiesner, chief operating officer at fgrACCEL.

“He brings the same drive, dedication and passion to everything he does, whether that’s on the football field, in the creation of his eSports team Ancient World Gaming or to business development at fgrACCEL. I’m thrilled to see him step into a bigger role overall with the organization.”

Despite his additional responsibilities with fgrACCEL, Williams reiterated his focus on assisting Graf to achieve the pinnacle of the sport by competing in the NASCAR Cup Series in the near future.

“Last year being my first year involved with NASCAR was more than I expected,” said Williams. “What Joe showed was the potential he has and with our new partners in Ford, Stewart-Haas Racing and Roush Yates, I know we will be in the position to be even more competitive this year.

“Expanding my footprint into the sport with my new duties at fgrACCEL will only continue to accelerate my knowledge of the multiple sectors within the sport. We are opening new doors this year not only for Joe – but the other members of the fgrACCEL team and I look forward to seeing the success of everyone throughout the 2022 season.”

For Graf who is entering his third season of Xfinity Series competition at Bobby Dotter’s SS GreenLight Racing team, his relationship with Williams is priceless.

“Antonio has done so much for me as a competitor both on and off the track,” said Joe Graf Jr. “He has not only been a huge investor into my career, but we have become incredible friends. His leadership and vision for 2022 will not only be beneficial for me but for the other members of the fgrACCEL team too.

“He is devoted to increasing a new commitment to fgrACCEL, but also continue building that bond that we share and be at my side as much as he can. He’s not just an investor or a friend, he is family.”

SS GreenLight Racing has big plans for 2022 NASCAR Xfinity Series season

MOORESVILLE, N.C.: SS GreenLight Racing (SSGLR) announced today major changes for the 2022 NASCAR Xfinity Series season. Among the changes for the Mooresville, N.C.-based team, including a manufacturer change, a new technical alliance and additional drivers within the team’s footprint.

The team will switch from Chevrolet to Ford which includes a technical alliance with Stewart Haas Racing (SHR) and Ford Motor Company’s Ford Performance program. Ford Performance is the high-performance division of the Ford Motor Company and the multinational name used for its motorsport and racing activity.

SHR will supply the organization with race cars while Roush Yates Engines will provide the legendary Ford horsepower.

In addition to providing race cars to SSGLR, SHR will also provide technical support for the entire 33-race season.

The new partnership was orchestrated by fgrACCEL, a full-service sports marketing and management agency.

“We are thrilled to be part of this new relationship with SS GreenLight Racing,” offered Stewart-Haas Racing executive Joe Custer.

“The team is very eager to raise their competitiveness to the next level and with this technical arrangement, they are going to be in a great position to accomplish all of their goals and more next season, as well as position themselves for future growth.”

With their agreement with Stewart-Haas Racing, nine-time Xfinity Series winner Cole Custer will also join SS GreenLight Racing for a minimum of four Xfinity events over the course of the 2022 season. 11-time NASCAR Xfinity Series winner Chase Briscoe will also take the wheel for one race in 2022.

“The addition of Cole and Chase driving a limited schedule for SS GreenLight Racing will also be an added benefit to help evaluate the team’s transition,” added Joe Custer. The team’s technical support with SHR should allow SS GreenLight Racing the opportunity to showcase a performance peak in the series on a consistent basis.”

A fixture in the NASCAR Xfinity Series since 1995 and a full-time commitment to the series since 2017, team owner Bobby Dotter is elated about the next chapter for his organization.

The team also confirmed that Joe Graf Jr. will return to the team next season to pilot one of the two full-time entries.

“I am so stoked for the new opportunities in 2022,” said Graf Jr. who joined the Bobby Dotter-owned team at the beginning of the 2020 NASCAR Xfinity Series season. “Our new relationship with Stewart-Haas Racing and Ford will allow us to continue to grow and improve as a team and hopefully give us the opportunity to showcase our ability in the NASCAR Xfinity Series at our highest level yet.

“This new relationship with Stewart-Haas Racing is more than about a technical alliance, it’s about being a part of a new family and a team that has enjoyed monstrous success in the Xfinity Series for the past several seasons.

“Joe Williams will return as my crew chief next season, and I know we both feel like this new opportunity not only has the potential to bring SS GreenLight Racing to new heights but hopefully elevate this team to a highly competitive perennial organization.”

Added Dotter, “This is a huge move for us, but it would not have been possible without fgrACCEL, Joe Graf Jr., Stewart-Haas Racing and our marketing partners. Joe has found a home at SS GreenLight Racing and with his team already having success in landing partnerships for next season, the opportunity to strengthen not only his team but the entire SS GreenLight Racing foundation is pinnacle for our future.

“We have a lot of work to do in the coming weeks and months ahead, but I believe with Joe’s continued focus, determination and outlook, he’s ready to make a giant step forward and we want to give him all the right equipment for his third year with SS GreenLight Racing.”

  • Luke Lambert Named Crew Chief for Gragson, No. 9 Team at JRM

Luke Lambert Named Crew Chief for Gragson, No. 9 Team at JRM

2022 Driver, Crew Chief Lineup Solidified for JR Motorsports

MOORESVILLE, N.C. (Jan. 4, 2021) – JR Motorsports has named veteran NASCAR Cup and Xfinity Series crew chief Luke Lambert to lead its No. 9 Bass Pro Shops/TrueTimber®/Black Rifle Coffee team with driver Noah Gragson for the 2022 season. Lambert takes over JRM’s highest-finishing team from 2021, as Gragson finished third in the 2021 NXS point standings.

Lambert, 39, comes to JRM after spending eight seasons in the Cup Series and has been a top-flight NXS crew chief as well, leading former JRM driver Elliott Sadler to a runner-up finish in 2012 while at Richard Childress Racing. The North Carolina native spent the past two seasons with Roush Fenway Keselowski Racing calling the shots for drivers Chris Buescher and Ryan Newman.

“I’m really excited to have the opportunity with JR Motorsports,” Lambert said. “I’ve been fortunate to have a lot of really good opportunities and experiences in the sport, and looking at JR Motorsports and what I think we are capable of accomplishing, it felt like a really good fit. That’s what was exciting for me, because I feel like we have the opportunity to be really competitive and make a run at the NASCAR Xfinity Series title. That’s what I wanted to be part of here.”

While Lambert and Gragson are in the early part of building a relationship, the new crew chief sees much potential in the 23-year-old Las Vegas native, who capped the 2021 season with three wins, 13 top-five and 20 top-10 finishes.

“I can’t wait to start working with Luke and to see what his experience and knowledge can bring to this No. 9 team,” said Gragson. “After how close we came to winning the championship last season, there’s a ton of momentum on this No. 9 Bass Pro Shops/TrueTimber®/Black Rifle Coffee team, and I think Luke will bring a fresh perspective to what we already have at JR Motorsports.”
Lambert, a native of Mount Airy, N.C., graduated from North Carolina State University’s Wolfpack Motorsports program and joined RCR as an engineer in 2005. In 2011, Lambert took over as crew chief for Jeff Burton in the Cup Series, leading the team to two top-five and five top-10 finishes in 17 races, including a runner-up result at Talladega Superspeedway.

As a Cup Series crew chief, Lambert has one victory (in 2017 at Phoenix Raceway with Newman), 26 top-five and 86 top-10 finishes. In 2012, Lambert headed RCR’s No. 2 team with driver Sadler in the NXS, earning four victories, 15 top-five and 24 top-10 finishes on the way to a second-place finish in the series point standings.

The announcement sets JRM’s driver and crew chief lineup for 2022. Jason Burdett will return to the No. 7 Chevrolet with driver Justin Allgaier for a seventh season, while Mike Bumgarner will have Josh Berry for the full season in the No. 8 Chevrolet and Taylor Moyer will pair with Sam Mayer in the No. 1 Camaro full time.

We received written approval on the sponsors from a NASCAR Racing Operations official on December 26, 2021. The team subsequently moved forward with an announcement only after being provided with this approval.

The sponsor approval was unambiguous–the first four words of the email from NASCAR state, ‘The sponsors are approved…’ The only feedback offered was related to minor graphic design changes to ensure legibility on the track at 170mph.

We will continue to work with NASCAR and look forward to resolving this matter and clearing the air as soon as possible.

LGBcoin.io Primary Paint Scheme Unveiled for 2022 NASCAR Xfinity Series Season

MOORESVILLE, N.C. (December 30, 2021) – Brandonbilt Motorsports (BMS) announced today that cryptocurrency meme coin LGBcoin.io (LGBcoin / $LGB) has signed on as the team’s full season primary partner for the 2022 NASCAR Xfinity Series (NXS) season.

The partnership marks the latest crypto outfit to back a NASCAR driver and team, a growing trend not only in motorsports but across all professional sports leagues. In 2022, BMS driver Brandon Brown will sport an eye-catching red, white, and blue livery with the logo and wordmark of LGBcoin aboard his No. 68 Chevrolet Camaro for all 33 races of the NXS season.

LGBcoin is a new, decentralized meme cryptocurrency similar to other meme coins and tokens such as Dogecoin and Shiba Inu, that has achieved a market capitalization of more than $300 million in less than six months. The patriotic coin dubbed “America’s Coin” aims to inspire positivity and unity, grounded in a strong belief of the American dream.

“We are thrilled to partner with Brandonbilt Motorsports and Brandon Brown for the 2022 NASCAR Xfinity Series season,” said James Koutoulas, LGBcoin HODLer and founder of Typhoon Capital Management. “Brandon is not only an incredibly talented driver, but also a thoughtful individual wise beyond his years. His commitment and singular focus on his profession is inspiring and his personal story is one that we can all be proud of—an American story of success and perseverance. Brandon is truly America’s Driver.”

“We are proud to support Brandon this season, to help him continue his American dream,” said Koutoulas. “If we do our job right, when you think of us, and you hear, ‘Let’s Go Brandon,’ you’ll think and feel, ‘Let’s Go America.’”

After securing funding from a portfolio of crypto related entities during the 2021 NXS season, Brown becomes the first NASCAR driver to land multiple crypto deals and distinguishes himself as an early attractor for meme and crypto partnerships.

“Having the financial support of LGBcoin is incredible, especially at such a pivotal time in our team’s growth as we work to build to the next level of competition,” said Brown. “From wondering if we would have the financial means to continue to compete, to my first major win (at Talladega no less), to becoming an unintentional meme, this past season was a rollercoaster. The support of sponsors like LGBcoin empowers us to be as competitive as possible and I’m looking forward to competing hard on the track in 2022.”

LGBcoin will make its racing debut aboard Brown’s No. 68 Chevrolet Camaro during the NASCAR Xfinity Series season opener at Daytona International Speedway on Saturday, February 19, 2022.
