Myatt Snider and the No. 2 Crosley Brands Team Overcome Early Damage to Finish Eighth at Daytona International Speedway

    Finish: 8th
    Start: 23rd
    Points: 12th

“Our Crosley Brands Chevrolet was extremely fast last night under the lights and I knew we were going to be in contention for the win today at Daytona International Speedway. The track was definitely slick in the heat and from the start, the car was twitchy on exit. Unfortunately, I made a mistake at the end of the first stage and got into the 22 car, which ended his day and damaged our Camaro. My guys were able to fix the left front damage; we reset the DVP clock and regained our lap as the lucky dog. From that point forward, we kept chipping away at it as a group. By the start of the third stage, we were back inside the top 10 and stayed there for the remainder of the race. It’s frustrating to finish eighth when you have a car that could have won the race, but that just shows how strong our program is at Richard Childress Racing. I wouldn’t want to be with any other group of guys. We’ll shift our focus to Darlington next week.”

    TOYOTA QUOTES

DANIEL HEMRIC, No. 18 Poppy Bank Toyota Supra, Joe Gibbs Racing

    Finishing Position: 5th

How were you able to come back and earn a top-five finish?

“Just a huge testament to everyone on this Poppy Bank Toyota Supra team. They did an incredible job. I hit the wall pretty hard there coming to the end of stage 1 and coming into stage 2 we really thought our day was over. The steering wheel was completely – the tow was knocked out of the car and a ton of tire rub on the right side. We pitted every single opportunity to patch it up. Eventually, by the fifth or sixth time we got it to where it was driveable and draftable and thought we had really good speed considering everything. Those guys deserve this top-five. I was hoping to give them a little bit more. You’re gridlocked there when you’re coming down to the end. That’s a huge testmant to a team effort so we’ll take it.”

How surprised were you that you were mixing it up toward the front at the end?

“That was a valient team effort by this Poppy Bank Toyota Supra team. I hit the wall a ton whatever lap that was and thought that was the end of our day and got back on. Dave Rogers (crew chief) did an incredible job a top the pit box to bring us down pit road and get this thing as tuned up as much as we could every chance that we had the opportunity to do that. By the last time, I thought it was pretty decent. We’d come to the pack enough every time we worked on it I knew we had good speed. It was a really good pusher. I was with the 11 (Justin Haley) and he was my best chance to move forward there at the end. He made the right moves and pulled me along and it was cool to see those guys win. Those teammates are tough to beat when it comes to superspeedway racing. Proud of the effort of these guys. Thanks to everyone at Joe Gibbs Racing back at the motor shop, suspension and chassis. It takes everything to run good here and we did all we could to maximize it here today.”

How difficult was it to try and find a teammate out there to work with not having Brandon Jones?

“When you lose one of your bullets, it’s just a matter of picking and choosing when the right moments are and how do you manipulate the situation you’re in at that time to get to him. We finally found each other there with three or four to go and the 54 (Christopher Bell) and the 20 (Harrison Burton) had to take a run to the bottom and it was just enough where I couldn’t get down. At that point it just became every man for themselves. Never thought we’d advance as far as we did, but I’m thankful that we did and we’ll go on to Darlington.”

Are you happy that you clinched a spot in the Xfinity Series Playoffs?

“I hadn’t even thought about that, which quite frankly it’s not really been our mindset. At Joe Gibbs Racing, we come here to win races and obviously being locked in it does open up the doors – I think we have three left now before the end of the regular season so we can go for broke. Darlington is a place that I love and thought we had a really good shot to win at and had a flat left rear tire in stage 2 in the spring race so we’ll be ready to rock.”

CHRISTOPHER BELL, No. 54 Reser’s Fine Foods Toyota Supra, Joe Gibbs Racing

    Finishing Position: 6th

Damage early and then bounced back and led late. How was the finish?

“The race was playing out really well. I had control of the race coming down to those closing laps and I don’t know. The Kaulig cars are really good and you see it every time. They are able to work together and stay together. They just do good; they blew right by me.”

HARRISON BURTON, No. 20 Offerpad Toyota Supra, Joe Gibbs Racing

    Finishing Position: 9th

Top-10 with a clean car at a superspeedway, could be a worse day, but how was your race?

“It could be a worse day, but frustrating because I felt like we wanted to come here and win. I don’t know, it just didn’t work out. We will keep pushing for it. This is a tough game to play, but we were trying to help our teammates as much as we could. It just didn’t pan out, but we will see what we can do better and go from there.”

BRANDON JONES, No. 19 Menards/Patriot Lighting Toyota Supra, Joe Gibbs Racing

    Finishing Position: 40th

What happened to take you out of the race early?

“First off I want to thank Menards and Patriot Lighting. They do a lot for our race team and do a lot for our race team. I hate to go out like this. You don’t expect to go out like this at Daytona. You’re either on the hook or you’re doing really well. At this point in the race I thought we were doing really well. I don’t know, man. I’ve only had this happen one other time where we pushed that much water out of this thing. I just think we picked up something on the front end of our Supra there. We were pushing a lot of water out for a couple laps and they don’t run good without water in them. I was surprised with how fast it went. Obviously, I think me and Jeff (Meendering, crew chief) are beating ourselves up pretty hard right. We both probably would’ve done something different there to try and get that off. When you’re out front like htat no one really wants to try to work with you and try to get it off your nose. Obviously, for the reasons of a competitor I wouldn’t want to do that. It is what it is. I’ve got a group of warriors on our 19 team. Michigan was great – that was awesome to see our speed there at Michigan so we’ll rally from that and use some momentum there. Darlington is a great track for us next week. We won there and looking to get another one.”

Team Penske NASCAR Xfinity Series Race Report

    Track: Daytona International Speedway
    Race: Wawa 250
    Date: August 28, 2021
No. 22 CarShop Ford Mustang – Austin Cindric
    Start: 14th
    Stage 1: 13th
    Stage 2: 39th
    Finish: 39th
    Status: Accident
    Laps Completed: 27/100
    Laps Led: 0
Driver Point Standings (behind first): (-17)

    Notes:

    • Austin Cindric’s race ended prematurely after being turned into the front stretch wall on lap 27 of Stage 1 Saturday afternoon at Daytona International Speedway. The incident left the No. 22 CarShop Ford Mustang with extensive right-front suspension and body damage, resulting in a 39th-place finish in the final rundown. Cindric falls to second in the NASCAR Xfinity Series driver standings, 17 markers behind leader AJ Allmendinger.
    • The starting lineup was set per NASCAR rule book, which gave Cindric the 14th starting position. During the opening laps, Cindric steadily made his way to the seventh position before the competition caution on lap 15. He reported his CarShop Ford was decent but a little free in. Crew chief Brian Wilson elected to say out under caution, giving Cindric the fourth position. Shortly before the restart the sky’s opened up and rain red flagged the race on lap 20.
    • The race resumed Saturday afternoon with nine laps remaining in Stage 1. Cindric was sitting in second position before getting turned into the wall on lap 27. Cindric brought his CarShop Ford down pit road for repairs, but the damage sustained was too extensive to repair under the Damaged Vehicle Policy and unable to continue.

Quote: “I got spun through the tri-oval. Obviously, everyone is trying to push lanes there, but it’s just really unfortunate. That’s two weeks in a row for our Ford Mustangs to get torn up — two cars that I thought were race-winning cars, so a lot of points lost today and a lot of work to do for the next three weeks. A lot of work that a lot of the year you can look at it both ways — half full or half empty — that is gonna be put in jeopardy, so very frustrating. We’ll move on. That’s racing and sometimes it takes one and that’s it.”

    FORD FINISHING RESULTS
    10th — Riley Herbst
    16th — Ryan Sieg
    19th — Chase Briscoe
    39th — Austin Cindric

RILEY HERBST, No. 98 Monster Energy Ford Mustang — HOW DOES IT FEEL TO FINISH 10TH WITH A MUSTANG THAT UNDER DIFFERENT CIRCUMSTANCES COULD HAVE WON? “It kind of sucks to be honest with you, but that’s just the racer in me. Overall, it was a really, really good day for our year and our points situation. We’ll take it, but, man, finishing 10th with a first-place car is always a gut punch.”

YOU WERE IN THE BOTTOM LINE TRYING TO MAKE SOMETHING HAPPEN, BUT IT DIDN’T MATERIALIZE FAST ENOUGH. “It’s just a matter of numbers. I don’t know. More cars on the top is faster than less cars on the bottom.”

WHAT WERE YOUR THOUGHTS WHEN YOU SAW THE 1 CAR HAVE ITS PROBLEM EARLY ON? DID THAT CHANGE YOUR THINKING IN TERMS OF LOOKING AT THE BIG PICTURE? “I think we had to play it safe, but, I don’t know, I just want to win a race and show people that I can win a race in this series. We’ll go to Darlington, I guess.”

THREE TO GO IN THE REGULAR SEASON. HOW DO YOU FEEL ABOUT YOUR CONSISTENCY GOING INTO THIS STRETCH? “Good. I feel like this is not a surprise to us. We just haven’t finished earlier on in the season. We’re where we’re supposed to be. We’re running up front and leading laps, so it’s a good day.”

RYAN SIEG, No. 39 CMR Construction and Roofing/A-Game Ford Mustang — “The car that blew up on the bottom kind of messed up the momentum pretty bad that we had there, but it is what it is. We were in the lead pack when we needed to be, but once you get single-file like that there’s not a whole lot that can go on and then we got mired back in traffic. I slipped through the stall that one time and kind of set us back. We recovered, but once you’re seventh or eighth in one line and there are two lanes, you’re pretty far back and it’s hard to do anything. Our Ford Mustang had plenty of power. It drafted well, it just needed a little bit of track position. We’ll work on it and try to get her better for Talladega.”

AUSTIN CINDRIC, No. 22 Car Shop Ford Mustang — “I got spun through the tri-oval. Obviously, everyone is trying to push lanes there, but it’s just really unfortunate. That’s two weeks in a row for our Ford Mustangs to get torn up — two cars that I thought were race-winning cars, so a lot of points lost today and a lot of work to do for the next three weeks. Allmendinger, Haley and Burton Strong Favorites to win at Daytona International Speedway Traditional Summer 250-Miler

DAYTONA BEACH, Fla. (August 26, 2021) – Red hot AJ Allmendinger, coming off a win one week ago after a pair of runnerup finishes, will lead the charge of a Kaulig Racing assault in Friday’s Wawa 250 Powered by Coca-Cola at Daytona International Speedway.

Allmendinger will start from the Busch Pole in hopes of capturing his fourth win of the year in the highly anticipated race, which is set for a 7:30 p.m. ET start (NBCSN, MRN and SiriusXM NASCAR Radio Channel 90). Flanking him will be a former Daytona Champion in Noah Gragson, who is hungry for his first win of 2021. Brandon Jones will start third, Justin Allgaier fourth and Harrison Burton will round out the top-five starters. For ticket information, visit www.daytonainternationalspeedway.com or call 1-800-PITSHOP.

“I look forward to Daytona,” said Allmendinger, who has gone to the winner’s circle before in the 2012 ROLEX 24 At DAYTONA. “I enjoy the momentum we have going from the last couple of weeks as a team. We are back in a position to have the opportunity to go for the regular-season championship, so Daytona is super important for us to try and run up front all day to get some points. We always have fast Kaulig Racing Chevys there, so hopefully Jeb (Burton), Justin (Haley) and I can get together and dictate the front of the pack. This is always an important race to Matt (Kaulig), so we want to go out there and try to do everything we can to at least get one of cars in victory lane and keep the team momentum going.”

Haley is the defending champion of the Wawa 250 while Burton was victorious at Talladega Superspeedway in April, his first career triumph in the NASCAR Xfinity Series.

“Daytona is one of my favorite tracks,” said Haley. I’ve always done well there and have had some success at the superspeedways. The key to having a good run at Daytona is understanding draft, having fast cars, and having teammates you can rely on.”

Burton, son of 2002 DAYTONA 500 Champion Ward Burton, hopes to join his dad as a Daytona Champion. “I finished fourth in my last two starts at Daytona on the superspeedway, so I think we have a good chance this weekend, especially with my teammates,” said the younger Burton.

Others have high hopes of a victory, including Austin Cindric who won the Xfinity Series opener at Daytona in February.

Here are some other interesting facts about Friday’s Wawa 250 Powered by Coca-Cola and the NASCAR Xfinity Series at the iconic Daytona International Speedway:

    • Only five races in history have been won from the pole or first starting position (2002, 2003, 2008, 2009, 2021) including Cindric’s win earlier this season. Geoff Bodine still holds onto the race record from 1985 at 157.137 mph.
    • Joe Nemechek has the most starts at Daytona in the Xfinity Series with 37 as well as the most poles with five. Welcome Back: This weekend at Daytona International Speedway, SS GreenLight Racing and Joe Graf Jr. welcome back G-Coin as the primary partner of the team’s No. 07 Chevrolet Camaro for Friday night’s Wawa 250 powered by Coca-Cola.

Daytona marks the eighth race of a multi-race deal where G-Coin, a product that brings gold into the digital age, making it accessible and giving it true utility will be the primary partner.

Learn More About G-Coin This Weekend On The Tube: An upcoming episode of the award-winning series, Advancements with Ted Danson, will focus on innovations in blockchain-enabled digital assets featuring Joe Graf Jr. marketing partner G-Coin.

The episode is scheduled to broadcast this Saturday, August 28, 2021, at 2:30 PM ET on CNBC.

Viewers will learn how the G-CoinTM token, powered by blockchain technology, solves the compliance and price volatility problems that hamper wholesale digital asset adoption, and is opening channels to make gold a more accessible, liquid, everyday medium of exchange.

The show will also explore how the underlying Responsible GoldTM is digitally tracked from mine to refinery to vault, to ensure G-Coin represents the highest level of integrity, transparency, and sustainability in the gold sector.

About G-Coin: Unlike cryptocurrencies, G-Coin is a digital title to a real asset: 1 G-Coin token equals 1 gram of Responsible GoldTM.

G-Coin combines the best qualities of traditional gold – stability, security, value, confidence, and social status – with the benefits of digital innovation, allowing users to easily save, send, and spend gold.

Tech-savvy investors keen to avoid cryptocurrency volatility, or physical storage burden and costs, are now able to purchase G-Coin digital gold tokens. G-Coin tokens can be purchased in increments of 0.01gram, giving individual investors better access to the gold market and the ability to use gold for day-to-day purchases.

G-Coin Wallets give users the freedom to send and receive value instantly, securely, and at no cost from the convenience of your mobile phone.

G-Coin Tip of the Week: A G-Coin token is a digital title of ownership to one gram of a Responsible Gold kilobar stored in a licensed vault.

Holders can redeem the tokens for physical gold on demand*. G-Coin tokens can be sent, spent, gifted or purchased as an investment through the G-Coin wallet.

Seal Covered: Earlier this week, Joe Graf Jr. welcomed new partner CoverSeal® to the SS GreenLight Racing team.

CoverSeal® —the standout cover option keeping vehicles and other outdoor investments safe from rodents and the weather will serve as associate marketing on the No. 07 Chevrolet Camaro for this weekend’s race at Daytona (Fla.) International Speedway and the upcoming events at Richmond (Va.) Raceway in September and at Kansas Speedway in October.

At Martinsville (Va.) Speedway, however, on Sat., Oct. 30, 2021 — CoverSeal® will increase their commitment and serve as the primary marketing partner for the penultimate NASCAR Xfinity Series race of the season.

Winning Welder: Thanks to the new support from new team partner PowerWeld, fans have an opportunity to win a brand-new welder autographed by Joe Graf Jr. and team owner Bobby Dotter.

To enter, follow or like Joe Graf Jr. on Twitter or Facebook, tag two friends and retweet or share the contest to your social media platform.

PowerWeld served as the team’s primary partner in the most recent NASCAR Xfinity Series race at Michigan International Speedway on Aug. 21.

A winner will be chosen at the end of the month.

Saving You Some Money: As summer slowly starts to transition into fall, Joe Graf Jr.’s other marketing partner Z Grills wants to help the NASCAR community save money – but also enjoy the perfect barbecue.

In support of their recent partnership at Atlanta (Ga.) Motor Speedway last month, Z Grills Racing (ZGrillsRacing.com) is offering a 10 percent discount off your TOTAL purchase, using the code NASCAR at checkout.

Races for Faces: Joe Graf Jr. announced last week that for the second consecutive year, Graf will be virtually participating in myFace’s Races for Faces, an event to raise awareness for myFace, an organization that helps kids and families living with craniofacial differences.

Graf is encouraging in the industry along with race fans to join “Team Graf” and show your support of his mission.

Over the coming weeks, stay tuned for ways you can show your support of “Team Graf” and see how your name can appear on the No. 07 Chevrolet Camaro at Bristol (Tenn.) Motor Speedway next month.

While the virtual event will be held on Sept. 19., donations to “Team Graf” will be accepted through Thursday, Sept. 30, 2021.

Joe Graf Jr. Xfinity Series Daytona International Speedway Starts: Joe Graf Jr. will make his fifth career start at the “World Center of Racing” in Friday night’s race.

In July 2019, Graf Jr. made his Xfinity Series debut at Daytona driving for Richard Childress Racing, qualifying a then career-best sixth. He was collected in a late-race crash and finished 23rd.

Graf Jr. made his SS GreenLight Racing debut at the 2.5-mile superspeedway in February 2020 qualifying a career-best fifth but was swept into a mid-race accident, finishing 36th.

In February, Graf Jr. started 18th and drafted to an 11th-place finish, a career-best finish in the NASCAR Xfinity Series and with SS GreenLight Racing aboard the No. 07 BuckedUp Energy Chevrolet Camaro.

He holds a career-best 12.8 average starting position at Daytona.

Joe Graf Jr. Xfinity Series Career Superspeedway Nuggets: In seven career NASCAR Xfinity Series Superspeedway races, has completed 518 of the 758 laps available. He holds an average starting position of 19.1 and an average result of 29.5 with a best finish of 11th at Daytona (Fla.) International Speedway in February 2021.

Joe Graf Jr. ARCA Menards Series Career Superspeedway Nuggets: In three career ARCA superspeedway track races, Graf Jr. has two top-10 finishes. He has been running at the finish of all three races. He holds an average starting position of 15.3 and an average result of 11th with three (3) laps led.

In 2018, Graf Jr. was involved in the closest finish in ARCA Menards Series history at Talladega Superspeedway in a photo finish.

The margin was so narrow in the 69-year history of the series, it was a statistical dead heat, the margin of victory on the computerized scoring monitors showing 0.000 seconds. Only a video replay and the photo finish camera were able to determine Graf finished second by a matter of millimeters.

Put Me In Coach: To strengthen his physique, Joe Graf Jr. began working with new trainer and former NASCAR Cup Series Josh Wise during the 2020 offseason.
In addition to Wise, Graf has also been working with former NASCAR driver and open wheel driver Scott Speed on being more discipline behind the wheel of his No. 07 G-Coin Chevrolet Camaro.

Sneaker Mania: Along with the adrenaline of the Motorsports competition, Joe Graf Jr. also has a vogue for hype sneakers. In his current collection, he owns and wears at least 85 limited edition sneakers – and his collection continues to grow every month.

The current estimated value of his collection tops $90,000.

New Leadership: SS GreenLight Racing announced last month that Joe Williams has taken over crew chief duties for Joe Graf Jr. for the remainder of the 2021 NASCAR Xfinity Series season.

Williams joins SS GreenLight Racing after a tenure at Our Motorsports. Additionally, Danny Johnson joins the Mooresville, N.C.-based team as car chief.

From the Pit Box: Industry veteran Joe Williams is Joe Graf Jr.’s crew chief.

He will crew chief his 55th NASCAR Xfinity Series race as crew chief on Friday night and his first at the 2.5-mile oval.

In his previous 54 NASCAR Xfinity Series starts, he has collected four top-five and 14 top-10 finishes.

Hello From The Other Side: Graf Jr. has a teammate at SS GreenLight Racing. Veteran JJ Yeley will drive the No. 17 Figgers Wireless Chevrolet on Friday night.

Yeley is poised to make his 344th career Xfinity Series start and ninth of the 2021 season. In 15 Xfinity Series starts at the “World Center of Racing,” his best Xfinity track finish occurred in the 2006 Winn-Dixie 250 presented by PepsiCo, where he finished fourth after starting first (on the pole) driving for Joe Gibbs Racing.

    Joe Graf Jr. Pre-Race Quotes:

On Daytona: “I’m looking forward to getting back to Daytona this weekend. SS GreenLight Racing has such fast cars on the superspeedways, and I look forward to showcasing that with our No. 07 G Coin Chevrolet on Friday night.

“The February race was incredibly kind to us with an 11th place finish, but we are looking for a top-10 finish or better this weekend to revive us from a couple of tough weeks.”

On New Partner CoverSeal: “I am extremely excited to welcome CoverSeal to the family. I am thrilled that they will be a part of our NASCAR Xfinity Series program. CoverSeal has so much to offer anyone, whether you are a racer, car enthusiast, or just an everyday street driver.

“Their products and services are influential whether you are using it for protecting a race car that goes 200 miles per hour or a street car, that you want to keep in pristine condition ahead of the upcoming weather seasons.

“Best of all, they are the only functional cover on the market that was made to keep rodents out! As someone who isn’t crazy about little varmints, that is a huge win for me and I’m proud to not only represent CoverSeal but personally endorse their products!”

On New Leadership: “I have a positive outlook and approach for the final two and a half months of the season.

“I will continue to work hard and give everything both on and off the track to enhance the overall presence and performance of our team and partners for the rest of the 2021 season.”

    Riley Herbst Notes of Interest

    • Twenty-two races after a crash left him 26th in the NASCAR Xfinity Series’ season-opener in February at Daytona (Fla.) International Speedway, Riley Herbst is back at the 2.5-mile oval for Friday night’s Wawa 250. After playing catch up for the majority of the year, the driver of the No. 98 Monster Energy Ford Mustang returns to Daytona riding a wave of front-running consistency. Herbst has scored back-to-back top-10s and finished among the top-10 in three of the past four races.

    • This four-race run has vaulted Herbst from being outside of the playoff bubble to inside the top-12 cutoff to make the seven-race playoffs. After a 19th-place finish July 10 at Atlanta Motor Speedway, Herbst was 13th in the standings, 54 points adrift of the top-12. But after finishing 10th July 17 at New Hampshire Motor Speedway in Loudon, 13th Aug. 7 at Watkins Glen (N.Y.) International, eighth Aug. 13 on the road course at Indianapolis Motor Speedway, and seventh last Saturday at Michigan International Speedway in Brooklyn, Herbst gained 95 points, erasing his 54-point deficit and replacing it with a 41-point margin over the top-12 cutoff. However, four races still remain in the regular season before the NASCAR Playoffs begin Sept. 25 at Las Vegas Motor Speedway. A win would lock Herbst into the playoffs, but the 22-year-old racer from Las Vegas can also point his way into championship contention by continuing his string of strong finishes between Daytona and the playoff cutoff race Sept. 17 at Bristol (Tenn.) Motor Speedway.

    • This will be Herbst’s fifth Xfinity Series start on Daytona’s 2.5-mile oval. In his four previous Xfinity Series starts at Daytona, Herbst scored a top-10 and two top-20s. Herbst was on his way to padding those stats back in February when he led 12 laps in the first stage, narrowly missing the stage win as Brandon Jones pipped him for the spot as the two crossed the start/finish line, with Herbst a scant .004 of a second behind Jones. Herbst continued to be a contender for the win, despite falling all the way back to 22nd in the second stage. He rallied his No. 98 Monster Energy Ford Mustang to as high as third in the final stage only to be collected in a multicar accident on lap 106 that jettisoned any shot of a good finish.

    • Herbst has four other starts on Daytona’s oval outside of the Xfinity Series. He has three starts in the ARCA Menards Series, with his best result being a seventh-place drive in the 2020 ARCA season opener. His lone Truck Series start came in February 2020 when he led 21 laps en route to a 12th-place finish.

Riley Herbst, Driver of the No. 98 Monster Energy Ford Mustang

You started the season at Daytona and after 22 races, you’re back at Daytona. What do you want to achieve in Friday night’s Wawa 250?

“We have to keep putting together strong runs so we can be in contention for a championship come Vegas. Our season got off to a bad start, but we’ve been getting better each and every week. The ultimate goal at Daytona is to win, but we also just want to continue to prove that we’re a strong team who can be a force to be reckoned with in the playoffs.”

An accident in the Xfinity Series’ season opener at Daytona back in February left you 26th. Despite the result you did have a solid run building with 12 laps led and a near-win in the first stage. What do you need to do to put together a complete race at Daytona?

“The first race of the season at Daytona was a heartbreaker. We had a fast Monster Energy Ford Mustang, but our race came to an end early because of a wreck. I came out of the gate strong by leading laps and contending for the Stage 1 win, but trouble found us. That’s where our bad luck started and it seemed to keep finding us in the weeks that followed. This weekend, I’m hoping we can put all of that behind us and do what we need to do to continue this race for the playoffs.”

You’ve scored three top-10 finishes in the last four races and haven’t finished outside the top-15. Talk about the consistency that has put you into playoff contention.

“These past four races have been a testament to the hard work that we all put in this season. When we started off the season, we were all still getting to know each other and it seemed like bad luck always found us. I’m proud of how far this Monster Energy team has come, and I’m ready to get some redemption at Daytona this weekend.”
