Ryan Ellis and Alpha Prime Racing are proud to announce that Shippy’s Rolling Plains Construction will return as the primary sponsor of Ellis’ No.43 Alpha Prime Racing Chevy Camaro in the NASCAR Xfinity Series race at Phoenix Raceway on Saturday, March 9th.

Rolling Plains Construction first sponsored Ellis in the same Phoenix race last year, with Ellis and the No.43 Chevy team finishing 19th. They’ll hope to grow on that result this year.

Founded in 1984, Rolling Plains Construction is the largest Fireproofing Contractor in the nation, specializing in Spray Applied Fireproofing, Thermal & Acoustical Insulation, Shop Applied Fireproofing, Firestopping, and Board Application. They provide their array of services to all 50 U.S. states and worldwide.

They are a nationally recognized firm, providing over 39 years of experience in the Division 7 Scope. Their depth and breadth of experience go above and beyond that of any company in the fireproofing industry.

“The Rolling Plains Construction family had an amazing time sponsoring Ryan Ellis and the Alpha Prime Racing team at our home raceway in Phoenix last year. We are thrilled to announce that we are supporting them again this year! We eagerly look forward to cheering on the No.43 Chevrolet and seeing the new car wrap designed by RPC. We are confident that Ryan and the Alpha Prime Racing team will outdo themselves on the track, just like they did last year. Bring it on!” said Robert Shippy, Owner of Rolling Plains Construction.

“I’m very excited to welcome Rolling Plains Construction back to our No.43 team. Last year, we had some downtime during the Phoenix race weekend, and I was able to head out to their Phoenix location to explore and learn a bit about what they do,” said Ryan Ellis, driver of the No.43 Rolling Plains Construction Chevy. “Seeing just how much goes into their processes was really eye-opening, and I’m very proud to be associated with a group like theirs. I’m also really excited to know that we’ll have a big group from their team cheering us on again this year – they brought so many folks out last year, and it was very cool having all that support. I’m extremely thankful to Robert Shippy, his entire family, and everyone at Rolling Plains for their support.”

Tune-In Info: On-track activity begins Saturday morning at Phoenix Raceway, with practice and qualifying occurring at 10:30 and 11 am local time to set the lineup for the Xfinity Series’ 200-lap race. In addition to earning the Mooresville, N.C.-based team their first Xfinity win, he also guided then-mainstay driver Joe Graf Jr. to his then-career-best effort at Talladega (Ala.) Superspeedway in April 2022.

“I am excited about the chance to continue to lead AM Racing in the NASCAR Xfinity Series,” said Williams.

“The team has accomplished a lot in a short amount of time, but there is a lot more to be desired. We continue to work hard to strengthen our Xfinity Series program, and with Hailie behind the wheel, it presents us an opportunity to continue showcasing our efforts but also put her in a position to not only contend for top-10 finishes but hopefully challenge for a win throughout the year too.”

Deegan and Williams already have a working relationship as a driver and crew chief. The two were paired for her Xfinity Series debut at Las Vegas (Nev.) Motor Speedway in October 2022. Deegan qualified her No. 07 SS GreenLight Racing with Jeff Lefcourt Ford Mustang 20th and raced competitively to a strong 13th place showing in the Alsco Uniforms 302.

The duo is focused on building on their debut and accelerating AM Racing even further into the spotlight in 2024.

“AM Racing is excited to have Joe lead our organization again as crew chief in 2024,” said AM Racing team president Wade Moore.

“Joe was instrumental in helping make AM Racing’s inaugural Xfinity Series successful. With his leadership and passion, we expect to get better and frequently challenge for top-10 finishes and hopefully make a run at the Xfinity Series Playoffs.”

In 131 NASCAR Xfinity Series starts as crew chief, Williams has collected one win (Auto Club Speedway | February 2022), eight top-five and 30 top-10 finishes.

JR Motorsports Solidifies Crew Chief Lineup for 2024 NASCAR Xfinity Series Season

MOORESVILLE, N.C. (Dec. 18, 2023) – JR Motorsports has added a pair of crew chiefs to its roster for the 2024 NASCAR Xfinity Series season, the organization announced today, and both are former team members.

Adam Wall will lead JRM’s No. 8 team for driver Sammy Smith while Phillip Bell returns as crew chief for the No. 9 team and driver Brandon Jones. Reprising their roles with the No. 1 and No. 7 teams will be Mardy Lindley and Jim Pohlman, who led Sam Mayer and Justin Allgaier, respectively, to the Championship 4 in 2023.

Wall and Bell are products of the Hendrick Motorsports-JRM conduit. Bell spent seven seasons as a lead engineer with JRM before heading to the Cup Series last year. Wall started at HMS in 2011 and then joined JRM as an engineer for three seasons (2016-18). He reunited with HMS the following year, rising to lead engineer for Kyle Larson and winning a championship in 2021.

“I feel very confident in our group of crew chiefs for 2024,” said JRM’s Director of Competition Mike Bumgarner. “Both Adam and Phillip have previous experience here with our guys and that chemistry alone makes the flow of communication even better. The process speaks volumes to what Dale and Kelley have been able to do here.”

Wall, a 34-year-old from Teutopolis, Ill., had previously been with JRM alongside crew chief Kevin Meendering and then-driver Elliott Sadler as an engineer beginning in 2016. He left JRM with Meendering at the end of 2018 and moved back to HMS, first with the No. 48 team and then with its No. 5 unit.

“It’s a lot of the same people here at JR Motorsports, so I’m excited to hit the ground running,” Wall said. “It’s a really efficient process that they have going with HMS and JRM in terms of personnel, and I’m an example of how it works. To be able to come back to JRM on the crew chief level is a really nice path.”

Bell, entering his first season as a NXS crew chief, was the lead engineer for JRM’s No. 9 car during a 2022 season that produced a single-season team record eight victories and a second straight Championship 4 appearance. The 33-year-old Senoia, Ga. native worked at JRM beginning in 2016 and in 2022 rose to the post of lead engineer during his tenure.

“I’m very appreciative of the opportunity,” said Bell. “I couldn’t have asked for a better place to be, because I know the systems and the people. It feels like coming home. The 9 team means a lot to me. We spent a lot of time and effort and helping build that legacy, getting the right systems in place to win races, and it means a lot to me to be here with them.”

    2024 JRM Driver/Crew Chief Lineup:

    • No. 1 Chevrolet: driver Sam Mayer, crew chief Mardy Lindley
    • No. 7 Chevrolet: driver Justin Allgaier, crew chief Jim Pohlman
    • No. 8 Chevrolet: driver Sammy Smith, crew chief Adam Wall
    • No. 9 Chevrolet: driver Brandon Jones, crew chief Phillip Bell
