SHINEWATER SPONSORING NASCAR XFINITY SERIES DRIVER RYAN ELLIS IN LAS VEGAS

Ryan Ellis and Alpha Prime Racing are proud to announce that ShineWater will debut as the primary sponsor of the No. 43 Chevrolet in the Alsco Uniforms 300 at Las Vegas Motor Speedway on Saturday, March 4th. This will mark the brand’s first endeavor into NASCAR, as they team up with Ellis and Alpha Prime Racing to take on the 1.5-mile tri-oval located just outside of Las Vegas’ infamous city lights. Last year, Ellis made his debut with Alpha Prime Racing in the same event, finishing 13th after a chaotic and exciting 300 mile race.

ShineWater is the only ready-to-drink hydration beverage on the market with 100% of the daily recommended vitamin D dosage in a single bottle. Founded by a former FDA physician, they made their start in Michigan, and have now expanded to all 50 states.

ShineWater can be found in select retail locations across America in chains like Food Lion, Meijer, Walmart, Target, CVS, HyVee, QT, 7-11, and many more.

Nearly half of the US population battles vitamin D deficiency. ShineWater’s wide variety of flavors such as Strawberry Lemon, Mixed Berry Acai, Fruit Punch, and more, gives consumers a great way to stay hydrated and get their vitamin D with zero added sugar.

“ShineWater is a brand built from the heartland with a mission to bring vitamins and nutrients to Americans in an all-natural, good-for-you beverage. For us, a partnership with Ryan Ellis and Alpha Prime Racing just made perfect sense to help us spread the word about the importance of vitamin D,” said Ryan Coon, Chief Marketing Officer, of ShineWater.

“I’m so excited to announce this partnership with ShineWater. I found ShineWater very recently at a local Food Lion near my house and immediately fell in love with the taste and everything that the brand stands for,” said Ryan Ellis, driver of the No.43 ShineWater Chevy. “Like many others during the pandemic, I did a lot of research on the benefits of vitamin D and I have been taking daily supplements to make sure that I get my daily dose of sunshine even on days I am mostly inside. As a new parent, I’ve been focusing on keeping my immune system strong so I have the energy to chase my daughter around the house and obviously, train for the racing season. It’s great to partner with another brand that I truly believe in. I really hope that we can grow this partnership into more races in 2023 and future years.”

“We’re very proud to welcome ShineWater to the Alpha Prime Racing family. As the season gets busy and we get on the road more, it can be easy to forget to take care of your body. The folks at ShineWater developed a great way to provide an essential vitamin inside of an amazing beverage and we want to be part of their exponential growth as a brand however we can. We’re really looking forward to having their group out in Las Vegas and hope that fans head out and grab a few bottles to support our newest partner,” said Tommy Joe Martins, President of Alpha Prime Racing.

The Alsco Uniforms 300 at Las Vegas Motor Speedway takes place on Saturday, March 4th, 2023. It will be broadcasted live on FS1 beginning at 4:30pm ET.

Practice will take place on Friday, March 3rd at 6:30pm ET (3:30 pm local) with qualifying at 7:00pm ET (4:00 pm local). Practice and qualifying coverage TBA.

Radio coverage will be on the Performance Racing Network and SiriusXM. The full weekend schedule, including practice and qualifying schedule and other specific tune-in information will be announced in the coming weeks.

A decade-and-a-half later, Unilever is now JRM’s longest-tenured partner and one of the longest-running active sponsors in NASCAR where it will utilize JRM’s racing partnership to continue to market consumer brands like Hellmann’s.

Earnhardt Jr. will bolster his streak of racing a Unilever-branded Chevy every year since 2009. Last season he drove the No. 88 Hellmann’s Chevrolet, which carried a special fan-voted paint scheme, at Martinsville Speedway.

Allgaier, too, has found success with Hellmann’s, taking the Unilever brand to Victory Lane twice in 2022 in races at Darlington Raceway and Nashville Superspeedway. Details on the schedule, track locations and featured brands for the races with Allgaier and the No. 7 team will be forthcoming.

Joe Williams Jr. Reunites with Brett Moffitt at AM Racing in 2023

STATESVILLE, N.C.: Officials from AM Racing confirmed today that Joe Williams Jr. will reunite with Brett Moffitt to serve as crew chief of the No. 25 AM Technical Solutions (AMTS) Ford Mustang for the team’s inaugural NASCAR Xfinity Series season beginning with the Beef. It’s What’s For Dinner. 300 at Daytona (Fla.) International Speedway on Sat., Feb. 18, 2023.

Williams unites with Moffitt for the first time since the two worked together last fall at Kansas Speedway when Moffitt drove the No. 07 SS GreenLight Racing with Jeff Lefcourt Ford Mustang where the duo earned a top-10 finish in the rain-shortened event.

Additionally, the two were paired together for 45 races during the 2020 – 2021 Xfinity Series seasons respectively at Our Motorsports.

During that tenure, the two delivered two top-five and 12 top-10 finishes – highlighted by a second-place finish at Daytona (Fla.) International Speedway in the 2021 season-opener.

During the 2022 season, Williams earned his first career Xfinity Series crew chief victory at SS GreenLight Racing with Jeff Lefcourt with driver Cole Custer at Auto Club (Calif.) Speedway. In addition to earning the Mooresville, N.C.-based team their first Xfinity win, he also guided mainstay driver Joe Graf Jr. to his career-best effort at Talladega (Ala.) Superspeedway in April 2022.

“I am excited about the 2023 NASCAR Xfinity Series season,” said Williams. “I am thrilled to be at my new home at AM Racing. I am excited to be back working with Ford and Stewart-Haas Racing and to have the chance to work with Brett (Moffitt) again is a huge opportunity for all of us at AM Racing.

“Thank you to everyone at AM Racing for the opportunity. I am ready to battle for a Playoff spot starting at Daytona.”

Moffitt is equally upbeat about reuniting with Williams for the 33-race schedule beginning next month.

“It’s no secret that the chemistry was there between Joe and I,” said AM Racing driver Brett Moffitt. “I am ecstatic to have the opportunity to work with him again and chase not only a Playoff spot but the prospect of racing for an Xfinity Series championship too in AM Racing’s first full season.

“I am ready to get to Daytona and get our 2023 season underway.”

AM Racing team principal Kevin Cywinski noted the pairing of Williams and Moffitt was paramount.

“Without a doubt, the pairing of Brett Moffitt and Joe Williams Jr. is huge for our team,” added Cywinski.

“The two have experience and success working together and I feel that the two will be able to get back in the saddle quickly and make our full-time transition to Xfinity even smoother.

“We have set lofty goals for our inaugural Xfinity Series season but with the determination and perseverance of our team — I think we can exceed our goals and everyone’s expectations this season.”

Familiar Names Complete Stewart-Haas Racing’s 2023 Crew Chief Lineup in Cup and Xfinity

Chad Johnston Returns to SHR as Crew Chief for Ryan Preece and No. 41 Cup Team; Jonathan Toney Promoted to Crew Chief for Cole Custer and No. 00 Xfinity Team

KANNAPOLIS, N.C. (Jan. 6, 2023) – While the 2023 crew chief lineup for Stewart-Haas Racing (SHR) remains mostly intact from last year, two familiar names join the crew chief ranks for the team’s 15th NASCAR season.

Chad Johnston, who served as crew chief for driver and team co-owner Tony Stewart in 2014-2015, has returned to SHR to be the crew chief for driver Ryan Preece and the No. 41 team in the NASCAR Cup Series. And with SHR’s expanded two-car effort in the NASCAR Xfinity Series, Jonathan Toney has been promoted from engineer to crew chief for driver Cole Custer and the No. 00 team.

“In Chad Johnston and Jonathan Toney, we’ve got two guys who are hungry to win that also bring a lot of smarts and experience to each of their roles,” said Greg Zipadelli, chief competition officer, SHR. “Both are very familiar with our program and our people.

“It’s great to have Chad back with our race team. A lot of the people he worked with when he was here before are still here today, and he already has a rapport with Ryan Preece. Chad fits in seamlessly and has a tremendous work ethic.

“Jonathan has been a workhorse and his fingerprints are on a lot of the success this team has enjoyed. He’s been here since the very beginning and knows this place inside and out. Jonathan has definitely earned this opportunity and all of us are proud to see him take on this new role.”

Johnston is from Cayuga, Indiana, and graduated from Indiana State University in 2003 with a degree in mechanical engineering. Before his first stint at SHR, Johnston spent 2004-2005 in the NASCAR Truck Series. He moved to Cup in 2006 with Evernham Motorsports and stayed there until 2009 when he joined Michael Waltrip Racing. It was there in 2011 when Johnston was promoted from engineer to crew chief for driver Martin Truex Jr. The two were paired for 95 races, earning a win, two poles, 17 top-fives and 43 top-10s, numbers that earned Johnston his first stint at SHR. After working with Stewart for two seasons, Johnston was recruited by team owner Chip Ganassi to be the crew chief for driver Kyle Larson in 2016. In five seasons with Ganassi, Johnston and Larson won six races together. Johnston returned to the Truck Series in 2021 with David Gilliland Racing and it’s where he first worked with Preece, winning a Truck Series race with him at Nashville (Tenn.) Superspeedway in 2021.

Jonathan Toney Promoted to Crew Chief

Toney is one of the most tenured members of SHR. The Newton, North Carolina-native joined Haas CNC Racing in December 2003, five years before Stewart partnered with Haas Automation founder Gene Haas to form SHR on the underpinnings of Haas CNC Racing. Toney is a 1996 graduate of the University of North Carolina-Charlotte and, like Johnston, holds a mechanical engineering degree. Toney was the lead engineer for Stewart and the No. 14 team from 2009 through 2012, helping secure Stewart his third NASCAR Cup Series championship in 2011 and the first for SHR. Toney remained an engineer at SHR, assisting the organization across its Cup and Xfinity Series programs, spending considerable time with Custer during his three previous years in the Xfinity Series from 2017 through 2019. The 2023 season marks Toney’s first as a crew chief.

The rest of SHR’s crew chief lineup remains unchanged across its Cup and Xfinity Series teams.

Rodney Childers, crew chief for the No. 4 team, will begin his 10th year atop the pit box for driver Kevin Harvick. The Harvick/Childers duo is the longest-tenured active driver-crew chief pairing in the NASCAR Cup Series garage, a partnership that has netted 37 points-paying wins and the 2014 championship.

John Klausmeier remains the crew chief for the No. 14 team and Chase Briscoe. Klausmeier helped Briscoe secure the 2021 NASCAR Cup Series rookie-of-the-year title and he delivered Briscoe a victory in just the driver’s 40th career start – March 13, 2022 at Phoenix Raceway. The 2023 season will mark Klausmeier’s sixth season as a crew chief, all of which have come with SHR (2018-2019 with driver Aric Almirola and 2020 with driver Clint Bowyer).

Drew Blickensderfer took over as crew chief for Almirola and the No. 10 team in 2022 and he returns in 2023. It will mark his third full season being paired with Almirola. Blickensderfer served as his crew chief while they were together at Richard Petty Motorsports for the last few races of 2016 and then all of 2017 before Almirola departed for SHR in 2018.

Richard Boswell has been the main steward of SHR’s Xfinity Series program since its inception in 2017 and he will continue in that capacity in 2023. He will again serve as crew chief for driver Riley Herbst and the No. 98 team. Boswell has been the crew chief for nine of SHR’s 21 Xfinity Series wins and has placed his driver in the NASCAR Playoffs for four straight seasons (2019-2020 with Briscoe and 2021-2022 with Herbst).

    About Stewart-Haas Racing:

Stewart-Haas Racing is the title-winning NASCAR team co-owned by three-time NASCAR Cup Series champion Tony Stewart and Gene Haas, founder of Haas Automation – the largest CNC machine tool builder in North America. The Kannapolis, North Carolina-based organization has won two NASCAR Cup Series titles, one NASCAR Xfinity Series championship and more than 90 NASCAR races, including such crown-jewel events as the Daytona 500, Brickyard 400 and Southern 500. • Jordan Anderson Racing Bommarito Autosport to Field Two Full-Time Entries for 2023 NASCAR Xfinity Series Campaign

Jordan Anderson Racing Bommarito Autosport to Field Two Full-Time Entries for 2023 NASCAR Xfinity Series Campaign

STATESVILLE, N.C. (January 4, 2023)- Jordan Anderson Racing Bommarito Autosport (JAR) announced today that the team will expand to field two full-time cars in the NASCAR Xfinity Series (NXS) during the 2023 season. Rookie Parker Retzlaff will sit behind the wheel of the team’s No. 31 FunkAway Chevrolet Camaro SS, while the newly added No. 27 Alsco Chevrolet Camaro SS will be piloted by Jeb Burton.

“Trusting the process and looking forward on this journey has been such a key element to the growth of our team the last two seasons,” stated Jordan Anderson, President of JAR Bommarito Autosport. “From where this all started after a rainout at Daytona that sidelined us for several months, having to change up the entire model and structure of how we envisioned our race team, to where we are today – and all the incredible drivers and partners that have gotten us to this point – is truly a blessing and a dream come true. Expanding to two full time Xfinity Series cars was always a goal of ours internally, and seeing it come to life with Parker, Jeb and so many great people behind the scenes, has us all equally excited.”

Team partner John Bommarito was likewise upbeat about the opportunity that 2023 holds for the team. “Jordan and I are proud to have two hard working drivers like Parker and Jeb behind the wheel of our race cars, and know they’ll represent all our team partners with excellence and integrity both on and off the track. We’ve focused our efforts equally on both the business and competition of our team and are proud to see the results continue to exceed our expectations.”

Retzlaff, 19, a Rhinelander, Wisc. native with support from Funkaway and Ponsse will drive the No. 31 Chevrolet Camaro SS competing for 2023 Sunoco Rookie of the Year honors in his first full-time NXS season.

Making nine NXS starts in 2022, Retzlaff collected one Top-10 and five Top-20 finishes competing with two different teams. Prior to making his NXS debut, Retzlaff would spend three years prior competing in the ARCA Menard’s East Series capturing 11 Top-10 finishes in just 14 starts with a best of 4th coming at Southern National Motorsports Park (N.C.) in 2021.

“I am truly humbled to be given this opportunity to race full-time with JAR Bommarito Autosport,” stated Retzlaff. “Without great partners like Funkaway and Ponsse I would not be in the position today to compete at this level of American motorsport. Jordan and John have assembled a great team for me, and I know with everyone’s hard work in the off-season, we will be in a great position to have a fast car when we unload at Daytona come February.”

Joining the rookie in the JAR Bommarito Autosport stable for 2023 will be veteran driver Jeb Burton driving the No. 27 Chevrolet Camaro SS with support from longtime partners Alsco, State Water Heaters, Rocky Boots, Puryear Tank Lines, Solid Rock Carriers, along with several others.

Burton, 29, the son of 2002 Daytona 500 winner Ward Burton, has been a staple competing in the NXS for the last nine seasons, but 2023 will mark only his third full-time season.

Over the course of 109 NXS starts the Halifax, Va. native has been able to collect one win, 13 Top-Five’s, and 31 Top-10’s. From 2015-2019 while still competing in the NXS, Burton would be given the opportunity to make 33 NASCAR Cup Series (NCS) starts with three different teams with most coming in 2015 (28).

In addition to his NXS and NCS starts, Burton has competed in 57 NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series (NCTS) races, securing one win, seven Top-Five and 21 Top-10 finishes.

“I’m pumped for the opportunity to join JAR Bommarito Autosport for the 2023 season,” explained Burton. “I’ve been watching what JAR Bommarito Autosport has been assembling the last few years, and success is within reach. Jordan and I first had this conversation last summer and to see it come to life is something that I feel will be beneficial for us all as we look to build a long-term relationship here. We have so many great partners that have stood behind me for so long and I hope to be able to deliver them a great season this year with all that we have going on. I’m excited to get the season started at Daytona.”

Chevrolet will remain the manufacture of choice for JAR Bommarito Autosport in 2023 fielding Chevrolet Camaro SS’s, with engines supplied by ECR.

“Jordan, John, Chuck Wallis (VP of Bommarito Automotive Group) and the entire JAR Bommarito Autosport team have done a great job of representing Chevrolet on and off the track since starting the Xfinity program in 2021”, stated Shane Martin, Xfinity Series Program Manager for Chevrolet. “Parker and Jeb will both be in great equipment, I am looking forward to seeing what they both can do this year behind the wheel of a Chevrolet.”

Parker and Jeb will both make their first JAR Bommarito Autosport start at Daytona International Speedway (Fla.) on Saturday, February 18 during the Beef. It’s What’s for Dinner. 300.
