    TRACK: Las Vegas Motor Speedway
    RACE: Alsco Uniforms 302 (201 laps / 302 miles)
    DATE: Saturday, Oct. 15, 2022

Broadcast Information – TV: 3 p.m. ET on NBC / Radio: 2:30 p.m. ET on PRN and Sirius XM Ch. 90

    Josh Berry
    No. 8 HarrisonsUSA.com Chevrolet
    • Josh Berry advanced into the Round of 8 as the fifth seed, only 11 points behind teammate Justin Allgaier for the fourth and final spot to race for a Championship in Phoenix with three races remaining in this round.
    • Berry is the defending winner of the fall race at Las Vegas. As a fill-in driver for an injured Michael Annett last season, Berry started 15th and raced into the lead late in the final stage to win his second NXS race of the season and his career.
    • In three races at Las Vegas, Berry has racked up an impressive stat line with one win, two top fives and has never placed outside of the top 10.

    Sam Mayer
No. 1 Accelerate Professional Talent Solutions Chevrolet
    • By virtue of his 11th-place finish at the Charlotte Motor Speedway Roval last week, Sam Mayer advanced into the Round of 8 as the eighth seed in the NASCAR Xfinity Series Playoffs. He is currently 28 points below teammate Justin Allgaier for the fourth and final spot to advance into the Championship 4.
    • Mayer has had speed at Las Vegas Motor Speedway in the past, but no luck. He led 25 laps at the 1.5-mile speedway earlier this year before finishing in the 25th position.
    • At tracks measuring between 1-2 miles in length in the NXS, Mayer has earned five top fives and nine top 10s, with an average finish of 16.1.

    Noah Gragson
No. 9 Bass Pro Shops / TrueTimber / Black Rifle Coffee Chevrolet
    • Noah Gragson enters the Round of 8 in the NXS Playoffs as the No. 1 seed.
    • The 24-year-old has made seven starts at LVMS, with six top-five and seven top-10 finishes and an average finish of 3.6. He was second there in the spring.
    • Over his last six starts, Gragson has won four times, with a 10th-place run at Talladega and third-place effort on the Charlotte Roval. That computes to an average finish of 2.8 over that span.
    • On 1.5-mile tracks this season, Gragson has wins at Kansas and Texas, a runner-up at Las Vegas, fourth at Charlotte and sixth at Atlanta in the spring.

    Justin Allgaier
No. 7 BRANDT Professional Agriculture Chevrolet
    • Justin Allgaier enters the Round of 8 in the NXS Playoffs as the fourth seed, 11 points above the cutline.
    • Earlier this year in Las Vegas, Allgaier led for 62 laps before taking the checkered flag in the fifth position.
    • Overall, the Illinois native has scored eight top fives and 13 top 10s in 16 career NXS starts at the 1.5-mile speedway.
    • In his last two starts at Vegas, Allgaier has led a combined152 out of a possible 401 laps and recorded a best finish of second in this event last year.
    • In 212 starts on tracks measuring between 1-2 miles in length in the NXS, Allgaier has recorded 11 wins, 68 top fives and 132 top 10s.

    Driver Quotes

“Las Vegas is a track that we have shown speed at, but just haven’t had any luck to go with it. Starting the Round of 8 this weekend, we need to have both pace and luck. Taylor (Moyer, crew chief) and this Accelerate Professional Talent Solutions team are working hard to make sure we show up with a fast Chevrolet and hopefully we can put ourselves in contention to fight for the win and get into the Championship 4.” – Sam Mayer

“We are ready to get to Vegas this weekend with our BRANDT Professional Agriculture Chevrolet. This No. 7 group and JRM as a whole has been really strong here over the last couple of years and I feel extremely confident that we can back that up again on Saturday. Hopefully we can go out there and do what we need to do to get ourselves in the best position to advance to Phoenix.” – Justin Allgaier

“This team has always given me great cars for Vegas and I know Mike (Bumgarner, crew chief) and all the guys are working hard to make sure we have that same speed when we unload on Friday. We advanced through the round with the most chaos and I feel really confident as we head to a few tracks that I have a lot of success and experience at. Hopefully we can repeat what we did last year and put this No. 8 team in Victory Lane.” – Josh Berry

“It’s great to go home and race at your home track, especially since our No. 9 Bass Pro Shops team has always run well there, and we’ve been pretty hot lately. Having all four JRM cars in the Round of 8 is really cool, and we have a whole bunch of momentum heading into it. Luke (Lambert, crew chief) and the guys are giving me really fast Camaros, and we are focused on getting to Phoenix with a shot at the championship.” – Noah Gragson

Kaulig Racing Welcomes Back SRS Distribution at Las Vegas Motor Speedway

AJ Allmendinger to Drive the No. 16 SRS Distribution Chevrolet in Alsco Uniforms 302

LEXINGTON, N.C. (October 11, 2022) – Kaulig Racing is thrilled to welcome back SRS Distribution as a primary partner on board the No. 16 Chevrolet at Las Vegas Motor Speedway in the Alsco Uniforms 302.

Kaulig Racing’s partnership began at the 2022 NASCAR Cup Series (NCS) season-opener, with Heritage Pool Supply Group Inc. (Heritage), one of the nation’s leading family of independent pool and supply distributors and a division of SRS, with Daniel Hemric for the 64th-running of the Daytona 500.

Recognized as one of the largest and fastest-growing building products distributors in the United States, SRS will team back up with Kaulig Racing at Las Vegas Motor Speedway with Allmendinger for the first race of the Round of Eight in the NASCAR Xfinity Series (NXS) playoffs.

“With Allmendinger behind the wheel, our partnership with Kaulig Racing will accelerate into high gear with the Vegas race.” said Dan Tinker, SRS President and CEO, “Seeing SRS in the victory lane at the Las Vegas Speedway during the NXS playoffs would be the ultimate win for our teammates and customers across the country.”

Allmendinger, who has already secured himself into the round of eight in the NXS playoffs, has made three starts at Las Vegas in the NXS, winning in his very first start, and securing a pole award earlier this year in the Alsco Uniforms 300.

“We’re so excited to be welcoming back SRS Distribution this year, only this time in a different capacity,” said Chris Rice, president of Kaulig Racing. “We had a successful partnership with SRS and one of its subsidiary companies, Heritage Pool Supply Group with Daniel (Hemric) at one of the biggest events in motorsports. Hopefully we can secure ourselves into the Xfinity Series championship race by getting SRS into victory lane in Las Vegas.”

Kaulig Racing announced earlier this week that Allmendinger will return to full-time NCS competition in 2023 after competing for this year’s NXS championship title.

The Alsco Uniforms 302 will take place on Saturday, October 15 at 3 p.m. ET with coverage on NBC.

Allmendinger Goes Four in-a-Row at the ROVAL
Drive for the Cure 250 presented by BlueCross BlueShield of North Carolina

AJ Allmendinger, No. 16 Nutrien Ag Solutions Chevrolet

    Start: 1st
    Stage 1 Finish: 1st
    Stage 2 Finish: 18th
    Finish: 1st

“All the credit goes to all the men and women at Kaulig Racing. This Nutrien Ag Solutions Chevy was so good. Ty (Gibbs) was so good as well, and I didn’t know if I was going to be able to get him. I was wanting it pretty bad. I was frustrated and didn’t think we had a shot, but I will always put everything on the line when it comes down to it. We stole that one.” – AJ Allmendinger

Landon Cassill, No. 10 Voyager Chevrolet

    Start: 7th
    Stage 1 Finish: 8th
    Stage 2 Finish: 25th
    Finish: 10th

“We thought we might have a chance to run with our teammates all day and be there at the end, but we just ran into some trouble. I’m happy we could salvage a top 10 out of it. A huge shoutout to my teammate, AJ Allmendinger, for winning four in-a-row here as well. We are looking forward to moving on to Vegas next week.” – Landon Cassill

Daniel Hemric, No. 11 AG1 Chevrolet

    Start: 3rd
    Stage 1 Finish: 32nd
    Stage 2 Finish: 6th
    Finish: 17th

“We just weren’t able to salvage the finish we had battled back for. I’m proud of everyone on this AG1 Chevy team and everyone at Kaulig Racing. Thankful to be a part of the NASCAR Xfinity Series. I was hoping to go and defend the Championship and carry on to the next round, but I made a mistake there on lap 3 or 4 that you cannot make. Gotta go to work and better myself. Proud of AJ and glad he was able to pull off the win. That is great for Kaulig Racing, hopefully he can go run for the Championship.” – Daniel Hemric
    Bank of America ROVAL 400

AJ Allmendinger, No. 16 Action Industries Camaro ZL1

    Start: 7th
    Stage 1 Finish: 10th
    Stage 2 Finish: 4th
    Finish: 4th

“When you are that close to winning, it’s for sure disappointing. But I’m happy with the way this No. 16 Action Industries Chevy was. It was really fast. We just need to work a little bit on pit road. We lost that little bit of track position, and it was a track position game. Once I got around the 8 (Tyler Reddick), I was burning my stuff up trying to catch the 9 (Chase Elliott). With those restarts, I knew I was kind of used up already. I got a good restart there and when Chase and I touched kind of through (turn) two, I went to set up for three and it turned me sideways and I slid a little more. That was unfortunate because that allowed the 4 (Kevin Harvick) to get to my bumper and we know Kevin is going to do that if he gets any chance. That’s a part of racing and going for the win. That second restart there, it was just a couple of guys with better tires, and you are just a sitting duck.” – AJ Allmendinger

Justin Haley, No. 31 LeafFilter Gutter Protection Camaro ZL1

    Start: 13th
    Stage 1 Finish: 12th
    Stage 2 Finish: 13th
    Finish: 5th

“We had speed all day, and it was cool to run up front all day. I’m happy with the day. This is a huge step for Kaulig Racing and our organization. Obviously you want to win, but this was a good step for us. I feel like we are headed in a good direction for next year.” – Justin Haley

Kaulig Giving™ Helps Daniel Hemric Grant Additional Scholarship at Rowan-Cabarrus Community College

CONCORD, N.C. (Oct. 9, 2022) – Kaulig Giving™ has joined Daniel Hemric in supporting local Rowan-Cabarrus Community College students by contributing to Hemric’s Be The Change Scholarship endowment. By doing so, the annual scholarship, seeded in 2019, will be awarded to two students in 2022.

“We started Kaulig Giving™ in 2018 to support many different causes just like Daniel’s Be the Change scholarship,” said Matt Kaulig, Kaulig Racing team owner and Executive Chairman of Kaulig Giving™. “Helping students to further their education and pursue their passion is something many of the organizations we are involved in advocate for. Daniel being a part of the Kaulig Racing family made this an easy decision for us to get involved in ‘Be the Change’ and support the community he grew up in.”

Through the Rowan-Cabarrus Community College Foundation, the scholarship is available to a student from Cabarrus or Rowan County that qualifies for financial aid and has chosen a field of study in motorsports, welding, or mechanical engineering.

“I can’t say thank you enough to Matt Kaulig and Kaulig Giving™ for their donation to the Be The Change Scholarship,” said Hemric, who drives the No. 11 Chevrolet in the NASCAR Xfinity Series for Kaulig Racing. “Kenzie and I started this scholarship to help folks like us, because if not for racing, pursing a certification at Rowan-Cabarrus Community College would’ve been a great career path for me. Thanks to Kaulig Giving, this year we’re going to be able to help two students pursue that dream.”

“We are grateful for the incredible generosity of Kaulig Giving™ and Daniel and Kenzie Hemric,” said Sarah Devlin, Chief Officer of Governance, Advancement, and Community Relations of Rowan-Cabarrus Community College. “Their investment in our students makes it possible for them to achieve their dreams and provide a better life for themselves and their families. The combined gift doubled the Daniel Hemric Be the Change Endowment, exponentially growing the number of students who benefit from their generosity while preparing them for the immediate job needs in our area and those of the future.“

Scholarships are provided through the Rowan-Cabarrus Community College Foundation and students enrolled at Rowan Cabarrus Community College can discover more information about The Daniel Hemric Be the Change Scholarship online at www.rccc.edu/foudnation/apply-for-scholarships or by email at foundation@rccc.edu.

Late-Race Accident Ends Monster Energy Driver’s Race and Playoff Run

    Date: Saturday, Oct. 8
Event: Drive for the Cure 250 (Round 29 of 33)
    Series: NASCAR Xfinity Series
Location: Charlotte (N.C.) Motor Speedway Roval (2.28-mile, 17-turn road course)
Format: 67 laps, broken into three stages (20 laps/20 laps/27 laps)
    Start/Finish: 11th / 32nd (Accident, completed 67 of 72 laps)
    Point Standing: 11th (2,080 points)

Note: Race extended five laps past its scheduled 67-lap distance due to a green-white-checkered finish.

Race Winner: A.J. Allmendinger of Kaulig Racing (Chevrolet)
Stage 1 Winner: A.J. Allmendinger of Kaulig Racing (Chevrolet)
Stage 2 Winner: Brandon Jones of Joe Gibbs Racing (Toyota)

    Overview:

A 32nd-place finish in the Drive for the Cure 250 NASCAR Xfinity Series race Saturday at the Charlotte (N.C.) Motor Speedway Roval ended Riley Herbst’s playoff run. The driver of the No. 98 Monster Energy Ford Mustang for Stewart-Haas Racing had finished among the top-five in each of the race’s first two stages – fifth in Stage 1 and second in Stage 2 to earn a total of 15 bonus points – before getting entangled in an eight-car accident in turn two of the 2.28-mile, 17-turn road course 12 laps short of the finish. Heading into the final stage, Herbst was five points above the playoff cutline before contact from the No. 18 car of James Davidson on lap 48 damaged the right-rear corner of the No. 98 machine. This necessitated an unscheduled pit stop, which put Herbst deep in the 38-car field and ultimately contributed to him being collected in the multicar wreck. One final incident during a late-race restart on lap 69 ended Herbst’s race for good, leaving him 20 points shy of advancing to the Round of 8.

Riley Herbst, driver of the No. 98 Monster Energy Ford Mustang for Stewart-Haas Racing:

“Man, we had a shot to make it to the next round. I wish the outcome had been different. We were having such a strong race and then one small incident of contact in the final stage derailed it all. I wish we could’ve stayed out of trouble and advanced, but there’s still four races to go and four chances to win. We’ll regroup and head to Las Vegas.”

    Notes:

    ● AJ Allmendinger won the Drive for the Cure 250 to score his 15th career Xfinity Series victory, his fifth of the season and his fourth straight at the Roval. His margin over second-place Ty Gibbs was .582 of a second.

    ● There were nine caution periods for a total of 15 laps.

    ● All but 10 of the 38 drivers in the race finished on the lead lap.

    Next Up:

The next event on the NASCAR Xfinity Series schedule is the Alsco Uniforms 302 on Saturday, Oct. 15 at Las Vegas Motor Speedway. It will be the fourth race of the seven-race playoffs and the first in the Round of 8. The race starts at 3 p.m. EDT with live coverage provided by NBC and SiriusXM NASCAR Radio.

Daniel Hemric Returning to Kaulig Racing in 2023

Hemric Returns to No. 11 Chevrolet

CONCORD, N.C. (October 9, 2022) – Kaulig Racing is thrilled to announce the return of reigning NASCAR Xfinity Series (NXS) champion, Daniel Hemric for the 2023 season.

Hemric, who signed on for a one-year deal with Kaulig Racing for the 2022 NXS season, has signed an extension for the 2023 season in the team’s No. 11 Chevrolet.

“Kaulig Racing has welcomed me with open arms and I’m excited about the future we’re building together,” said Hemric. “I believe in Matt Kaulig and Chris Rice’s vision for this team, and know we’ve got some unfinished business to take care of next year. 2023 starts today.”

Hemric, who earned a spot in the 2022 NXS playoffs, has secured one pole award, two top fives, 10 top-10 finishes and has led 66 laps in the 2022 season so far.

“Daniel Hemric has played such a vital role in growing our Xfinity Series team,” said Chris Rice, president of Kaulig Racing. “He and his teammates, AJ (Allmendinger) and Landon (Cassill), work together so well and lean on each other in a way that no other team does. We are really excited to continuing that success with Daniel as part of this family.”

In addition to his full-time NXS season, Hemric piloted Kaulig Racing’s No. 16 Camaro ZL1 in the NASCAR Cup Series (NCS), which he shared with teammates AJ Allmendinger and Noah Gragson.

We can’t wait for another great season together next year.”

Late-Race Bump Spoils Solid Run by Sheldon Creed and the Whelen Chevrolet Team at the ROVAL

    Finish: 16th
    Start: 4th
    Points: 14th

“We had good speed and would have been third at worst and that’s a good thing to take away from today. I felt like we did our job all day. We ran no worse than fifth the whole race. The strategy played out awesome and we were able to lead laps in our Whelen Chevrolet. We struggled on the short runs today but I thought after like five laps I settled in and the lap times leveled out with the 54 (Ty Gibbs) and 16 (AJ Allmendinger). We just never got green flag runs at the end and then we get turned running third (Lap 58 of 72). I went to the back but we had fresh tires and came back up to 16th. All those guys in the back lose their minds at the end. You’re trying to make passes without tearing your race car up but it’s a mess and it’s so hard to get by them. Some of those guys back there are racing for points too, so you’re trying to keep that in mind because you don’t want to ruin their season. We’ll go to Las Vegas and look to get ours.” -Sheldon Creed

“I’m going to be sore tomorrow, that’s for sure. It was a long day for my Bennett Transportation & Logistics team. I knew something was off at the end of Stage 1 and could feel that it was getting harder to make the turns. I was able to make it to the end of the stage but I had a feeling it was a power steering issue. My team took a look at it on pit road under caution and tried to add fluid to the power steering pump. When I got back on track, I could tell it wasn’t fixed. I was able to make it to the end of Stage 2 but it was really difficult and the steering got even tighter. On a positive note, I found out that I clinched a spot in the Round of 8 which definitely lifted my spirits but it just got worse. We had to replace the entire power steering pump and lost a lot of laps but there was no way for me to make it through the turns anymore. My guys busted their tails all day to fix my car and I’m proud of everyone at RCR and ECR for never giving up. We finished 29th and we’re ready to put this one behind us and dive into the next round of the Playoffs. Las Vegas is a really good track for me so I’m looking forward to it.” -Austin Hill

    TOYOTA QUOTES

TY GIBBS, No. 54 Monster Energy Toyota GR Supra, Joe Gibbs Racing

    Finishing Position: 2nd

What did you need to get to AJ Allmendinger in the closing laps?

“We had a very fast Monster Energy GR Supra. We got in the wall a little bit there on both of the restarts and never could get back to the 16 (AJ Allmendinger). We had great speed. I just want to thank my team. I had a great time in the race today and happy that we’re moving onto the round of eight.”

BRANDON JONES, No. 19 Menards/Fisher Toyota GR Supra, Joe Gibbs Racing

    Finishing Position: 7th

How do you feel about making it into the next round by only two points? How was your race overall today to be able to execute what you and your team needed to do in order to transfer?

“It was one of those days where everyone just did their job. I think we had a goal in mind today. We always want to come in and win these races, but our goal today was to come in and move onto the next round. Whatever we had to do to do that was what we decided on. Knew we needed some stage points. That first one threw me for a loop, didn’t start off as good as I wanted it to for this race. Jeff (Meendering, crew chief) made a really good call on the first stop to do an adjustment and got some really good adjustments in there and once we got track position, we were fast enough to maintain it. It was just that we weren’t really fast enough to drive up to that point. So we did a really good job flipping that stage and getting the stage win. Then at the end, they did as really, really good job of letting me know where everyone was points-wise. That’s what I told them what I wanted to hear all day so I knew how hard I needed to push for that next position or if I can ride in that area and not have to push. There was no reason to go for that next spot if you didn’t have to and end up taking yourself out over something crazy. We were just really solid. We didn’t spin out, didn’t have any lockups. Everyone did their job on pit road. That’s really what we need to do these next couple of rounds to get to Phoenix.”

    Notes of Interest:

Full of Energy: Bucked Up Energy Drink and its sister products will continue their role as the primary partner of Graf’s No. 07 Ford Mustang this weekend.

The Charlotte (N.C.) Motor Speedway Road Course is the 17th race of 2022 and 48th race overall in a multi-year, multi-race deal with the former ARCA Menards Series winner.

For the first time this year and in recognition of Breast Cancer Awareness Month, the team will promote Bucked Up’s Pink Lemonade flavor.

Pink lemonade tastes like childhood over-achievement on the neighborhood corner.

Amateurs make regular lemonade — for 10-cent sales. Prodigies innovate, fusing an otherwise basic beverage with refreshing cranberry, and thinly sliced lemons, for garnish — earning their dollar.

Sweet, refreshing, and jubilant. And yet, miraculously sugar-free.

That’s Pink Lemonade Bucked Up style!

About Bucked Up Energy: Bucked Up started in 2013 when twin brothers Ryan and Jeff Gardner started marketing a product called Deer Antler Spray. After selling thousands of bottles to GNCs nationwide, the company morphed into what is now Bucked Up, a full-fledged vitamins and supplements manufacturer.

The company has gone from its humble beginnings to becoming the No. 1 best-selling pre-workout brand that’s available in over 10,000 stores worldwide.

Plenty Of Other Bucked Up Products Available Too: Don’t forget that Bucked Up Energy now offers more than 10 quenching options, but several of their popular flavors include Rocket Pop, Gym ‘N’ Juice, Mango Tango and Pink Lemonade now include low-stim options.

Low-stim has the same innovative ingredients that make their OG formula so powerful for focus, mood, motivation and energy. Bucked Up made just one small change and they have been surprised by the resulting epicness.

Boasting a modest of 100mg of caffeine, Bucked Up Low-Stim delivers the same energy, focus, mood, motivation – while reducing the common side effects that come from too-much caffeine, jitters, sleeplessness and anxiety.
