    The new NASCAR trading cards, a classically licensed-product, are meticulously produced by Panini and will continue to be a nostalgic collectible for fans.     Race and Qualifying Notes:

    Qualifying: The qualifying order will be set by a random draw. Qualifying will consist of a two lap run by a single truck. The driver with the fastest time will win the Keystone Light Pole Award, but they are not guaranteed the pole position in the race. Instead, qualifying will determine all starting positions for the five qualifying races and the qualifying races themselves will set the lineup for the race.

    Qualifying Races: There will be five qualifying races, 10 laps each race. Only green flag laps will count. The lineup for these races is based on the speeds from the Keystone Light Pole Qualifying. The top five finishers from each of the qualifying races will automatically transfer to the race, for a total of 25 trucks.

    Last Chance Qualifying Race: This race will consist of 15 green flag laps. The lineup will be based on finishing positions from the qualifying races. The top two trucks will transfer to the race and will fill positions 26 and 27 for the race.

    Lineup for Remaining Positions: Positions 28-31 will be filled by the highest-ranking eligible trucks as determined by owner points for those who have not already earned a position through the qualifying process. The 32nd and final spot will go to the most recent eligible past series champion. If it is not filled by an eligible champion, it will be filled based on owner points.

    The Race: The race will be divided into three segments of 40, 50 and 60 laps. There will be competition cautions after the first and second segments. Caution laps will not count during the competition cautions and positions cannot be improved on pit road. The teams are not required to pit during these competition cautions. Trucks that remain on the track and do not pit will restart in front of those that pit.

    Matt The Monster: Crafton Wins At Dover

    Matt Crafton won his first race of the 2016 NASCAR Camping World Truck Series on Friday in the JACOB Companies 200 at Dover International Speedway.

    It was Crafton’s 12th career victory in the Camping World Truck Series and his first win at Dover. Daniel Suarez ended up second after competing for the win in the later stages. Fellow Kyle Busch Motorsports driver Christopher Bell finished third, Johnny Sauter ended the day fourth, and Cole Custer was able to recover from a penalty for jumping a restart while leading to round out the top five in fifth.

    KBM driver and last week’s winner at Kansas William Byron inherited the pole after the scheduled qualifying session was rained out earlier in the day. Byron led the first 80 laps before John Wes Townley stayed out and led three laps under caution. Tyler Reddick took the lead after Townley pitted with one more caution lap to go and led for 39 laps before Crafton was able to get around with just 78 total laps to go. Crafton was able to hold off a charge by Suarez in the final dozen laps to win.

    “I just wanted to manage just enough and I could gap (Suarez) just enough and could run hard enough to push the right front tire off,” Crafton said. “I think everybody was a little bit tight and then you’d get to somebody and you’d be really tight. Then (the lead car)’d drive away. There were a couple times (the crew) said he was seven back and within a lap-and-a-half he was three back and I thought ‘I better go now.’”

    It was a frustrating end for Suarez, who has eight top five finishes in 17 starts for KBM in the Truck Series but no victories. The Monterrey, Mexico driver said after the race in the media center that “We’re here to win races” and to expect him to close in on that first win sometime soon. It was later announced that his No. 51 Toyota was found to be too high in the left rear in post-race inspection; possible penalties could be given out on Wednesday.

    There were six caution flags for 29 laps in the 200 lap race. The first was for a single car accident when Austin Wayne Self spun out in turn two on lap 44. The second was when Brandon Brown lost control of his Chevrolet just a few minutes later on lap 57. Ben Rhodes tangled with fellow rookie Rico Abreu in a turn four incident on the Brown caution’s restart. CJ Faison spun in turn four on lap 81. On lap 133, Townley tagged the wall and wrecked in turn four. Finally, there was a debris caution on lap 169 to set up the finish.

    William Byron’s Win Proves Kyle Busch Picks Most Talented Drivers

    When William Byron began his first full season in the NASCAR Camping World Truck Series driving for Kyle Busch Motorsports, he was expected to have a few good runs throughout the season. The 18-year-old already had a championship under his belt when he won the 2015 K&N Pro Series East championship driving for HScott Motorsports in partnership with Justin Marks, so he had already proven he had the talent needed to win in one of NASCAR’s biggest series.

    It took him five starts, but at Kansas on Saturday, he managed to hold off two-time series champion Matt Crafton for his first series win. With that win, Byron validated KBM owner Kyle Busch’s decision to sign him, and Byron became another shining star on the rise in NASCAR. Currently lined up with rookie teammates Cody Coughlin and Christopher Bell, Byron’s KBM predecessors include current XFINITY Series superstar and five-time race winner for KBM’s truck program Bubba Wallace and 2014 Rookie of the Year/truck series champion Erik Jones.

    A lot of the success could be credited to the Joe Gibbs Racing engines that the KBM Toyotas receive, but let’s not sell the drivers short. Jones and Bell may be champions and Wallace may have been a multiple-time winner, but Coughlin comes from a long line of racers and has more than a few years experience in stock cars, while Bell, a former dirt standout, won at Eldora last year in his third truck series start.

    How Busch came across Jones is a great example of how the KBM drivers are graded in regards to potential. In the 2012 Snowball Derby held at Five Flags Speedway in Pensacola, Jones was able to hold off Busch to score his first win in the prestigious event. Busch immediately made a move to sign Jones to his race team, and it paid off within a year as Jones scored his first series win, then two years later scored his first championship.

    With Byron, it may not be something as dramatic as Jone’s big break, but it’s obvious Busch saw how fast the kid is. He’s been fast all through the 2016 season, and although he had a shaky start at Daytona and an engine failure at Atlanta, he’s been mounting an excellent title offense and now that he’s solidly in the Chase, he can focus on getting more wins and bettering himself as a driver. With that, Byron could place an emphasis on being a championship threat and carrying on that winning heritage at KBM.
