    Anthony Alfredo to make 100th Xfinity career start at Iowa

    Competing in his third consecutive season as a full-time competitor in the NASCAR Xfinity Series, Anthony Alfredo is set to achieve a milestone start. By competing in the series’ return at Iowa Speedway this upcoming weekend, the driver of the No. 5 Our Motorsports Chevrolet Camaro will make his 100th career start in the Xfinity circuit.

    A native of Ridgefield, Connecticut, Alfredo, a former CARS Late Model Stock Car Tour competitor for JR Motorsports, made his inaugural presence in the Xfinity Series at Auto Club Speedway in February 2020. By then, he had campaigned in the 2018 ARCA Menards Series East season on a full-time basis for MDM Motorsports, where he achieved his first victory at South Boston Speedway and ended up in fifth place in the final driver’s standings, and had made 13 starts in the Craftsman Truck Series for DGR-Crosley in 2019.

    Driving the No. 21 Richard Childress Racing Chevrolet Camaro on a part-time basis, Alfredo started 13th and finished an impressive sixth place in his Xfinity debut following a late battle with Justin Haley. He would proceed to finish 14th at Darlington Raceway in May and 10th at Atlanta Motor Speedway in June before notching his first top-five career result in the form of a fourth-place finish at Homestead-Miami Speedway during his fourth series start. Throughout his next 13 starts, the Connecticut native racked five additional top-10 results, all being sixth-place finishes, before he was involved in a late multi-car accident at Kansas Speedway in October that resulted with him flipping over and ending up in 29th place. He would rally during the following weekend at Texas Motor Speedway, which also marked his final Xfinity start of the season, by notching a career-best third place. Overall, Alfredo notched two top-five results and nine top-10 results in 19 starts for RCR as RCR’s No. 21 entry ended up in 11th place in the 2020 Xfinity owner’s standings.

    After competing in the Cup Series for Front Row Motorsports in 2021, Alfredo returned to the Xfinity Series in 2022 as he joined forces with Our Motorsports to pilot the No. 23 Chevrolet Camaro. Commencing the season by finishing seventh at Daytona International Speedway in February amid a final lap multi-car wreck, he notched a fifth-place result during the following event at Auto Club Speedway before finishing no higher than 12th during his next six scheduled starts. He would then manage to finish sixth at Talladega Superspeedway in April before finishing no higher than 15th twice during his next four starts. During the series’ inaugural event at Portland International Raceway in June, Alfredo secured his first career pole position after posting a pole-winning lap at 93.229 mph in 76.071 seconds amid a rain-shortened qualifying session. Ultimately, he would end up in 31st place after being involved in a late multi-car wreck during a restart with 13 laps remaining.

    Despite recording eight top-20 results during the final 12 regular-season events on the schedule, Alfredo did not make the 2022 Xfinity Playoffs. He would proceed to finish in the top 20 five times in the final seven events on the schedule, including a 10th-place run at Las Vegas Motor Speedway in October, before settling in 15th place in the final driver’s standings. Overall, Alfredo notched a single pole position, a top-five result, four top-10 results, 15 laps led and an average-finishing result of 19.3 during his first full-time Xfinity campaign.

    This past season, Alfredo transitioned from Our Motorsports to B.J. McLeod Motorsports as he piloted the No. 78 Chevrolet Camaro on a full-time Xfinity basis. He commenced the season by finishing 24th at Daytona after being involved in a multi-car wreck on the final lap. During his next 23 starts, he racked up a total of nine top-20 results and finished no higher than 13th before recording his first top-10 result of the season at Daytona in August by finishing eighth. After missing the Playoffs for a second consecutive season, Alfredo secured another eighth-place run at Martinsville Speedway in October throughout the seven-race Playoff stretch before settling in 20th place in the final driver’s standings. Despite leading a career-high 24 laps throughout the 2023 season, he ended up with an average-finishing result of 24.1.

    Returning to Our Motorsports for this season, Alfredo has logged in five top-10 results and he tied his career-best result in the series by finishing third at Talladega in late April. He is currently ranked in 15th place and trails the top-12 cutline to make the 2024 Xfinity Series Playoffs by 31 points.

    Through 99 previous starts in the Xfinity Series, Alfredo has achieved one pole, four top-five results, 20 top-10 results, 60 laps led and an average-finishing result of 19.2 as he continues his pursuit for both his first Xfinity race victory and a Playoff berth.

    Anthony Alfredo is scheduled to make his 100th Xfinity Series career start at Iowa Speedway for the HyVee Perks 250. The event’s broadcast coverage is scheduled to occur on Saturday, June 15, and air at 3:30 p.m. ET on USA Network.

    Alfredo to make 100th NASCAR national touring series career start at Martinsville

    While Anthony Alfredo is nearing the conclusion of his first full-time campaign in the NASCAR Xfinity Series for Our Motorsports, he is also within reach of achieving a milestone start. By taking the green flag in this weekend’s Xfinity Playoff event at Martinsville Speedway, Alfredo will achieve 100 career starts across NASCAR’s top three national touring series.

    A native of Ridgefield, Connecticut, Alfredo, whose racing career started with go-karts before moving up to Legends cars, made his inaugural presence within NASCAR’s top three national touring series at Atlanta Motor Speedway, where he drove for David Gilliland Racing on a part-time basis in the Camping World Truck Series. By then, Alfredo was coming off his first season in the ARCA Menards Series East, where he achieved his first career victory at South Boston Speedway before finishing in fifth place in the final standings. In his debut at Atlanta, Alfredo started 27th and finished 17th in his Truck debut. Throughout the 2019 season, Alfredo competed in 13 of 23-scheduled Truck events for David Gilliland Racing while swapping between the Nos. 15, 17 and 54 Toyota Tundras. He recorded a total of eight top-20 results, two of which were in the top 10, as his highest on-track result was an eighth-place run at Charlotte Motor Speedway in May.

    In December 2019, Alfredo joined forces with Richard Childress Racing to pilot the No. 21 Chevrolet Camaro on a part-time basis for the 2020 Xfinity Series season, which marked his first start in the series. Making his debut at Auto Club Speedway in February, Alfredo notched an impressive sixth-place result in his debut. He backed up his strong debut by notching five additional top-10 results during his next eight scheduled starts, which included his first top-five result after finishing fourth during a Homestead-Miami Speedway doubleheader feature in June. During his final 10 scheduled events, he recorded a total of three top-10 results and achieved a new career-best result of third place at Texas Motor Speedway in October. In total, Alfredo competed in 19 of 33-scheduled Xfinity events for RCR as he achieved two top-five results, nine top-10 results, 15 total laps led and an average-finishing result of 12.6. He also contributed to RCR’s No. 21 entry finishing in 11th place in the final Xfinity owners’ standings.

    A month prior to the 2021 NASCAR season, Alfredo was named a full-time competitor of the No. 38 Ford Mustang for Front Row Motorsports for the upcoming Cup Series season, where he contended for the Rookie-of-the-Year title. His debut in NASCAR’s premier series, however, started off on a rough note after being involved in a multi-car wreck 13 laps into the 63rd running of the Daytona 500 at Daytona International Speedway in February. The Connecticut native proceeded to record a total of three top-20 results during the 26-race regular-season stretch, which were not enough for him to qualify for the 2021 Cup Series Playoffs. During the final 10 Playoff events on the schedule, Alfredo managed to record his first top-10 career result in the Cup circuit after finishing 10th at Talladega Superspeedway in October before settling in 30th place in the final standings and in the runner-up spot in the Rookie-of-the-Year battle against Chase Briscoe. His overall average-finishing result in his first Cup season was 27.5. 

    A month following the conclusion of the 2021 season, Alfredo was named a full-time Xfinity Series competitor of the No. 23 Chevrolet Camaro for Our Motorsports. He commenced the season with a seventh-place result at Daytona followed by a fifth-place run at Auto Club Speedway in February. He went on to finish sixth at Talladega in April before achieving his first career pole for the inaugural Xfinity event at Portland International Raceway, but he did not accumulate enough points to qualify for the 2022 Xfinity Playoffs. Coming off five consecutive top-20 results throughout the Playoffs, he is currently ranked in 15th place in the drivers’ standings with two races remaining to this season.

    Through 99 previous starts across NASCAR’s top three national touring series, Alfredo has achieved one pole, three top-five results, 16 top-10 results and 38 laps led while competing for four different organizations.

    Alfredo is scheduled to make his 100th NASCAR national touring series career start at Martinsville Speedway on Saturday, October 29, with the event’s coverage to occur at 3 p.m. ET on NBC.

    Jeb Burton to make 100th Xfinity career start at Darlington

    Competing in his second full-time season in the NASCAR Xfinity Series, Jeb Burton is within reach of a milestone start. By competing in this weekend’s Xfinity event at Darlington Raceway, the driver of the No. 27 Our Motorsports Chevrolet Camaro will make his 100th career start in the Xfinity circuit.

    A native from Halifax, Virginia, and the son of the 2002 Daytona 500 champion, Ward Burton, Jeb made his inaugural presence in the Xfinity circuit at Kentucky Speedway in September 2013. By then, he was competing for the Camping World Truck Series title with Turner Scott Motorsports and had achieved his first series victory at Texas Motor Speedway in June. Driving the No. 34 Chevrolet Camaro for TSM, Burton started 13th and finished eighth in his Xfinity debut. He then made his lone Xfinity start of 2014 at Charlotte Motor Speedway in May with Biagi-DenBeste Racing, where he finished 15th.

    Two years later, Burton joined Richard Petty Motorsports with plans of competing as a full-time Xfinity competitor in the No. 43 Ford Mustang. He commenced the season with a 25th-place result at Daytona International Speedway in February, but rebounded during the following weekend at Atlanta Motor Speedway by finishing in 10th-place. Following the first 11 scheduled events, however, Burton was left without a full-time ride after RPM’s Xfinity team ceased operations. He ended up rejoining Biagi-DenBeste Racing for three events for the remainder of the season, where he finished in the top 20 in all starts.

    In 2017, Burton made a total of six Xfinity starts with JGL Racing, where he notched his first top-five career result at Daytona in July by finishing fourth. He then made a total of three starts for Richard Childress Racing in 2018, where he achieved a pair of 12th-place results at Richmond Raceway in April and at Dover Motor Speedway in May.

    Burton joined JR Motorsports as a part-time competitor in the No. 8 Chevrolet Camaro for the 2019 Xfinity season. Making his first start at Texas Motor Speedway in April, he finished fifth. He went on to finish seventh at Charlotte Motor Speedway in May and ninth at Michigan International Speedway in June. Despite finishing 32nd at Bristol Motor Speedway in August, he rebounded by tying his career-best result in fourth place at Indianapolis Motor Speedway in September. He capped off his first part-time campaign with JRM with a pair of ninth-place results during the final three scheduled events. 

    Remaining as a part-time competitor for JRM in 2020, Burton dominated the season-opening event at Daytona, where he led a race-high 26 laps and won the first stage, before a late multi-car wreck relegated him to a 22nd-place result. He was then in position to claim his first Xfinity victory at Talladega in June until he was overthrown by Kaulig Racing’s Justin Haley on the final lap and settled in a career-best third place. Burton proceeded by claiming another career-best second-place result at Richmond Raceway in September along with four additional top-10 results in nine starts to cap off the 2020 season.

    Coming off two strong part-time campaigns with JRM, Burton was selected to drive the No. 10 Chevrolet Camaro for Kaulig Racing on a full-time basis in 2021. Commencing the season with a fourth-place result at Daytona along with five top-10 results during the first seven scheduled events, he achieved his first NASCAR Xfinity victory at Talladega in April, where the event was shortened by 23 laps due to heavy precipitation. The victory made Burton the 168th different competitor to achieve an Xfinity victory and the fourth to do so while driving for Kauilg Racing.

    After winning at Talladega, Burton collected a strong runner-up result behind Kyle Busch at Atlanta in July along with nine additional top-10 results throughout the regular season stretch before entering the 2021 Xfinity Playoffs as one of 12 competitor contending for the title. His title hopes, however, came to an early end in the Round of 12 after finishing 36th, seventh and 13th respectively. He went on to finish in 10th place in the final standings. Overall, Burton earned a victory, seven top-five results, 16 top-10 results and an average-finishing result of 13.6 in his first full-time campaign in the Xfinity circuit.

    This season, Burton, who lost his ride at Kaulig Racing, marked another new beginning to his racing career by joining forces with Our Motorsports to pilot the No. 27 Chevrolet Camaro. Through the first 23 regular-season events, Burton has finished in the top-15 results nine times, with his best on-track result occurring at Richmond Raceway as he finished 11th. He is ranked in 19th place in the regular-season standings and trails the top-12 cutline to make the Playoffs by 187 points with three regular-season events remaining to this year’s schedule.

    Through 99 previous Xfinity starts, Burton has achieved one victory, 13 top-five results, 31 top-10 results, 139 laps led and an average-finishing result of 16.7.

    Burton is scheduled to make his 100th Xfinity Series career start at Darlington Raceway on Saturday, September 3, with coverage to start at 3 p.m. ET on USA Network.

    Our Motorsports unveils driver lineup for 2022 Xfinity season

    At the NASCAR Hall of Fame in Charlotte, North Carolina, Our Motorsports announced that the team will be fielding three cars, each piloted by for three full-time competitors, for the 2022 NASCAR Xfinity Series season. Brett Moffitt headlines the lineup with his return to the team while Anthony Alfredo and Jeb Burton return to the series as newcomers to the organization.

    The news comes as Our Motorsports is coming off its second full-time campaign in the Xfinity circuit highlighted with a career-best runner-up result at Daytona International Speedway in February, a total of three top-five results, 15 top-10 results and a 16th-place result in the 2021 Xfinity owners’ standings for the team’s No. 02 Chevrolet Camaro operation piloted between Moffitt and Ty Dillon. The team also fielded the No. 23 Chevrolet Camaro in 30 of the 33-race schedule that was shared between Tyler Reddick, Blaine Perkins, Natalie Decker, Tanner Berryhill, J.J. Yeley, Andy Lally, Ty Dillon, Patrick Emerling and Austin Dillon.

    “We are very excited about the plans we have put in place for the 2022 race season,” Chris Our, team owner of Our Motorsports, said. “We continue to expand on the foundation built in our first two seasons in the NASCAR Xfinity Series. This combination of experienced drivers and crew members will make Our Motorsports a contender each weekend.”

    Moffitt, the 2018 NASCAR Camping World Truck Series champion from Grimes, Iowa, is set to return for a third campaign with Our Motorsports following two strong seasons. Since making his first start with the team during their inaugural season in 2020, Moffitt has recorded two top-five results and 17 top-10 results in 60 starts. He is also coming off a career-best season in the Xfinity Series, where he recorded a runner-up result at Daytona in February, 10 top-10 results and a career-best result of 21st in the drivers’ standings.

    Through 2021, Moffitt has recorded two top-five results, 18 top-10 results and an average-finishing result of 17.7 through 63 career starts in the Xfinity circuit.

    “I’m really excited to be back with Our Motorsports in 2022,” Moffitt said. “Chris Our has been a great team owner to work with the past two seasons and I’m looking forward to continuing this journey with him. The foundation this team has built over the past couple of years has everyone in the shop motivated to take the next step in becoming a playoff team in ‘22.”

    Joining Our Motorsports as one of the team’s two new competitors for 2022 is Alfredo, who is also set to embark in his first full-time campaign in the Xfinity circuit. The 22-year-old native from Ridgefield, Connecticut, is coming off his inaugural season in the NASCAR Cup Series, where he piloted Front Row Motorsports’ No. 38 Ford Mustang to a season-best 10th-place result at Talladega Superspeedway in October, an average-finishing result of 27.5, a 30th-place result in the 2021 Cup drivers’ standings and a runner-up result in the Rookie-of-the-Year standings behind Chase Briscoe.

    Prior to the 2021 Cup season, Alfredo drove Richard Childress Racing’s No. 21 Chevrolet Camaro in 19 of 33 events during the 2020 Xfinity Series season. During his part-time stint, he recorded a career-best third-place result at Texas Motor Speedway in October, two top-five results, nine top-10 results and an average-finishing result of 12.6 as RCR’s No. 21 car settled in 11th place in the final Xfinity owners’ standings.

    “I am very excited to return to the NASCAR Xfinity Series full time with Our Motorsports,” Alfredo said. “The team has accomplished a lot in a short time and I am excited to be a part of helping them continue to grow. I’m very thankful for the opportunity and ready to make the most of it.”

    Another competitor who is set to join Our Motorsports for the first time is Jeb Burton, the 29-year-old son of the 2002 Daytona 500 champion, Ward Burton, from Halifax, Virginia. Burton is coming off his first full-time season in the Xfinity circuit, where he piloted Kaulig Racing’s No. 10 Chevrolet Camaro to his first career victory at Talladega Superspeedway in April. In addition, he recorded seven top-five results and 16 top-10 results as he made the 2021 Xfinity Playoffs and concluded the season in 10th place in the final standings.

    Through 2021, Burton has achieved one victory, 13 top-five results, 31 top-10 results and an average-finishing result of 15.1 through 76 career starts in the Xfinity circuit.

    “I am very excited to get to work,” Burton said. “I can’t thank Mr. Our and his whole family enough. I want to build something special here and win races for Our Motorsports. I appreciate this opportunity as it means the world to me and my family. I signed a multi year deal and plan to build strong partnerships with our partners and compete for wins and championships.”

    In terms of driver-crew chief pairing for the upcoming NASCAR season, Burton will be paired with Chad Walter, Alfredo will work with Pat Tryson and Moffitt will be led by Jeff Hensley. Finally, Kevin Cope will be serving as the team’s general manager as he will oversee the day-to-day operations.

    Additional information regarding Our Motorsports’ car numbers and program will be announced at a later date.

    Moffitt to compete full 2021 Xfinity schedule with Our Motorsports

    Following a productive 2020 season, Brett Moffitt will be moving up to the NASCAR Xfinity Series and drive a Chevrolet Camaro on a full-time basis with Our Motorsports for the 2021 season.

    Moffitt, a 28-year-old native from Grimes, Iowa, is coming off his second full-time season in the NASCAR Truck Series with GMS Racing, where he recorded a single victory (Kansas Speedway in October), 10 top-five results, 16 top-10 results and an average result of 9.7. He was one of four competitors to make the Championship 4 round at Phoenix Raceway, where he finished in fourth place in the final standings.

    In addition, Moffitt competed in 29 Xfinity Series races with Our Motorsports in 2020, where he recorded one top-five result, seven top-10 results and an average result of 18.3, with a best on-track result of fifth place at Talladega Superspeedway in June. He contributed to the team’s final owners’ points result of 15th place.

    The 2021 season will mark Moffitt’s first full-time campaign in the Xfinity Series after spending the last three seasons as a Truck Series competitor, where he won the 2018 championship with Hattori Racing Enterprises and made the Championship 4 round in his last two seasons with GMS Racing.

    Moffitt’s move to full-time racing with Our Motorsports means that he will not be returning to GMS Racing next season.

    “[Year] 2020 was a learning year for the entire Our Motorsports operation and the program is now ready to step up to another level,” Moffitt said. “I’m thankful for the last two seasons with GMS Racing and the support Maury Gallagher, Spencer Gallagher, Ron Booth, Mike Beam and the entire team gave me.”

    “Brett has been instrumental in helping us build this team from scratch and be competitive,” Chris Our, Owner of Our Motorsports, said. “We’ve challenged each other to turn Our Motorsports into a race-winning organization and we have some exciting things in the works that will help us accomplish that goal together.”

    With Moffitt confirmed as a full-time driver for Our Motorsports, Joe Williams will also remain as crew chief for the organization in 2021.

    “Our Motorsports has made great strides in 2020 and I’m really excited to carry that momentum into 2021 with Brett Moffitt behind the wheel,” Williams said. “Brett is the kind of driver that makes us better as an organization and I am confident in what we can accomplish together next year.”

    Lally to run two Xfinity road course races in August

    Veteran sports car competitor Andy Lally announced that he will return to compete in two NASCAR Xfinity Series races this season. Lally, who will be driving the No. 02 Our Motorsports Chevrolet Camaro, will be racing at Road America on August 8 followed by the Daytona International Speedway Road Course on August 15. Joe Williams will serve as his crew chief.

    Lally is a five-time Rolex 24 at Daytona class winner, where he has also won the 2001 Grand-Am Rolex Sports Car Series SRPII class championship, the 2004 Grand Am SGS class title and the 2006 Grand AM GT class title. He has won 27 Rolex Grand-Am Sports Car Series races, none since 2013, and two American Le Mans Series races, both in 2010. To July 2020, he races in the WeatherTech SportsCar Championship for Magnus Racing.

    Lally has made 63 starts across NASCAR’s three major division series, (Cup, Xfinity and Truck Series), and he won the 2011 Cup Rookie-of-the-Year title, with a best result of 19th at Talladega Superspeedway during his rookie Cup season. His best result in NASCAR was a fifth-place result at the Mid-Ohio Sports Car Course in the Xfinity Series while driving for team owner Bobby Dotter. He has also recorded top-10 results in the series at Watkins Glen in 2017, Road America in 2014, Mid-Ohio in 2016 and at Road America in 2018.

    The last time Lally raced in the NASCAR Xfinity Series was in 2018, where he competed at the Mid-Ohio Sports Car Course, Road America and the Charlotte Motor Speedway Roval for team owner Mario Gosselin. He finished 15th at Mid-Ohio and 10th at Road America before finishing 37th at the Roval due to a crash.

    In addition to his return, Lally is also set to become the fourth competitor to pilot the No. 02 Chevrolet Camaro for Our Motorsports, which made its debut as a full-time Xfinity team this year. The 2018 NASCAR Truck Series champion Brett Moffitt has competed with the team in 14 of the 16 races this season, having scored four top-10 results and a career-best finish of fifth place at Talladega in June. He is set to start in 23rd place on Saturday, July 25, at Kansas Speedway for the Kansas Lottery 250. Patrick Emerling and Jairo Avila Jr. have also made a start for the team at Bristol Motor Speedway and at Homestead-Miami Speedway in June.
