The NASCAR Cup Series and the Camping World Truck Series head to Richmond Raceway this weekend while the Xfinity Series enjoys a week off from competition.
So far, the regular season has produced 15 different Cup Series winners with only three races remaining. Seven drivers have officially clinched a spot in the Playoffs via wins and accumulated points. They include Chase Elliott, Ross Chastain, Kyle Larson, Joey Logano, William Byron, Tyler Reddick and Denny Hamlin.
The Camping World Truck Series Playoffs continue at Richmond as the track hosts the second of three races in the Round of 10. Grant Enfinger went to victory lane last week at Indianapolis, securing his spot in the next round. That leaves nine drivers competing for their chance to advance to the Round of 8.

This weekend the NASCAR Cup Series and the Xfinity Series head to Richmond Raceway where the Next Gen car will make its debut on the first points-paying short track race of the season.
The NASCAR Whelen Modified Tour will begin the racing action Friday with practice and qualifying, culminating with the ‘Virginia Is For Racing Lovers 150’ at 6:30 p.m. ET. The race will be televised on FloRacing.com (with a paid subscription) and radio coverage will be provided on MRN. The Camping World Truck Series is off but will return on Thursday, April 7 at Martinsville Speedway.

The NASCAR Cup Series and Xfinity Series travel to Richmond Raceway this weekend. This race is the second event in Round 1 of the Cup Series Playoffs. Denny Hamlin’s dramatic win this past Sunday at Darlington Raceway automatically advances him to the Round of 12.

There are only two more races in the Xfinity Series regular season. AJ Allmendinger, Austin Cindric, Justin Allgaier, Daniel Hemric, Harrison Burton, Justin Haley, Noah Gragson, Jeb Burton and Myatt Snider have already clinched a spot in the upcoming Round 1 of the Playoffs.
Dale Earnhardt Jr. will continue his tradition of returning to the Xfinity Series for one race each year and will compete at Richmond this weekend in the JR Motorsports No. 8 Chevrolet. He has four wins, six top fives and seven top 10s in eight starts in the series and has led 829 laps with an average finish of 6.4.
Earnhardt’s car will feature a special paint scheme in recognition of the 20th anniversary of the 9/11 attacks.
The Camping World Truck Series returns to action Thursday, Sept. 16 at Bristol Motor Speedway for the final race in the series Round of 10.

NASCAR travels to Richmond Raceway this weekend. The Gander RV & Outdoors Truck Series is first up Thursday night for their regular season finale while the Xfinity Series will feature a doubleheader, competing Friday night and Saturday afternoon. Saturday will mark the second race in the Playoffs for the Cup Series Saturday night at 7:30 p.m.
Kevin Harvick remains the points leader after earning his eighth win of the season last week at Darlington Raceway and will start from the pole.
Kyle Busch and Clint Bowyer will have substitute crew chiefs after both teams were penalized for missing two lug nuts in post-race inspection at Darlington Raceway, resulting in $20,000 fines for each team. Also, Adam Stevens, crew chief for Busch, and Johnny Klausmeier (Bowyer), were suspended for one race. Jacob Canter will fill in as interim crew chief for Busch and Greg Zipadelli will crew chief for Bowyer.
